People like you make people like myself and others have a difficult time with the U.S. Embassy when filing for our loved ones. The sad part is, it crooked people like yourself that gets a smooth process with a positive outcome. Both you and het needs to be in jail

Now that you know that you've been approved, gather all your documents needed as it takes time. Do not wait to hear from NVC. My fiancé dragged and we had to hustle to do everything and then the KNG embassy gave us the in around and left us with exactly two weeks to get his medical for his interview. So get all the necessary documents together which will release a lot of pressure and stress for this next stage. Be sure you meet the requirements for your affidavit if support, if not you will need to get a co-sponsor. Gather your taxes and W2's.

The no-impedement and police cert take about a week to process. I would wait because too far ahead could bring problems. Just familiarize yourself with all the steps that need to be taken before your interview. Read the reviews. Gather all the necessary documentation. Jamaica10 gave a pretty good account of what is required. Once you receive your NOA2, NVC still needs to issue you a CASE#. Without it the embassy will not schedule the interview for you. Also, before the embassy will schedule the interview they must receive your case from NVC.

Here are a couple of things you can start working on while waiting for your NOA2:
    - Getting your affidavit of support and relevant documentation together
    - Filling out your DS forms (230, 156, 156K and 157)
    - Obtaining your necessary passport pictures
    - Obtaining an updated version of your birth certificate (new style)
    - Police certificate (it took my fiance 30days to get his - and it is good for up to 1 year from the date of issuance)
    - Going to the clinic and obtaining necessary shots prior to your medical(there is a post somewhere on VJ that has the link to the shots needed)
    - Gathering support to prove on-going relationship (i.e., pictures, phone records, etc)
Just think of all the details that goes into pulling an excellent package together and all of the other little things that need to be done. Before you know it, you will have an NOA2 and you don't want to be scrambling to gather documents. Hope this helped.

No, they don't. Not for USCIS purposes.
The only time this is advisable is for "front-loading" purposes -- for the benefit of the consulate, which will receive the I-129F petition upon its approval by USCIS. Front-loading is advisable for certain tough or ####### consulates, of which the Manila embassy is certainly not one.

    Good morning,
So I called the Department of State this morning and found out that my baby's visa was ISSUED! I would like to thank God first and foremost! I am extremely grateful. Tomorrow will make 1 year since I received NOA1. This has been a long journey that's still in the making but now I am a step closer to the finish line. This journey has been far from easy, but through the midst of it all, I have learned that nothing happens on our time... God was teaching me patience and I overlooked it. The minute I gave in and left it in his hands, he came through. He's an on time God! I cried tears of joy, an I will cry greater tears once his visa is in his hands...
To all of those still in the process, don't give up! I know the stress and frustrations this brings! We are a VJ community which is the beauty of it all. We understand each others pain when no one else does. I think that the immigration laws President Obama is passing is forcing service centers to process petitions faster and I think the Kingston Embassy is attempting to catch up with its paper work in preparation for the heavy case loads they will be receiving. I promised to share my updated information with you all and I will continue to do so as my journey is not over. I hope everyone has a blessed day!

I agree with you Jamaica10...we all need to offer whatever helpful info we have while going through the process. While I have no knowledge of the K1 process I can offer info on the CR1 process and reaffirmed cases since I am still waiting.

I'm currently in the process of finishing up the last stages of the fiance visa and from my experience I would say to go ahead and get married due to the fact that the steps for the marriage process is a shorter route. When doing a fiance visa you have to do the process for the petition and if he is approved and comes here, you still have to get married and start the second phase of getting him is greencard, so I reccomend marriage. If I could do it all over I would have just gotten married. The fiance visa is a waste of time and money. I had to wait 8 months just to see if the application was approved and now he has to do an interview to see if they will approve him to come to the states... If things doesn't work out, we will have lost out on a lot of money because we paid $340 for the application fee, he has to pay for medical, $240 for the visa fee, and so much more... Good Luck

Jamaica10 got a reaction from Zipline in CSC
I am happy for the November/December applicants who are receiving approvals, but it makes me wonder WTH CSC is really doing. How dare them place our applications on a halt as if they don't have a care in the world. They don't seem to understand that they are playing with peoples lives, and I just don't think they care. It pisses me off knowing that the 29th will make 8 months for me as others are being approved in less than 5 who filed 3-4 months after me as well as others. I wonder if the July-October files were the ones that were damaged when they were having plumbing issues? If so, do they think it's fair to request new applications and evidence from each applicant whose file was damaged because of their careless actions? I have no issues with the DACA applicants, but I don't think it's fair that other applications were placed on the back burner. I am a law abiding citizen and I deserve fairness and justice. I have written my congresswoman and I hope she can be of help and hope others follow in my footsteps because a closed mouth won't get fed and CSC is beyond themselves at this point.

I am in the process of writing a letter to my congresswoman and I am in need of a few pointers in writing my letter. I have so much to say but I do not want to my words to be repetitive, I do not want to rant. I simply need help in which topics to point out that will be of help to me and my congresswoman when she contacts CSC on my behalf. I have read a few tips and pointers in the past but I am unable to find them. If anyone who has written their congress man/woman can be of help it will be greatly appreciated.
The 29th of April will make 8 months since i've recieved noa1 and my patience is getting low. We were told it would take 5-6 months so anything after is ludacris. We all deserve an answer through email or mail so this is my way of attempting to get one. Nothing tried nothing done. I would like to start grad school and a family and CSC is holding me up. I've waited long enough.
I encourage everyone to seek help!
