  1. I just checked mine, the 30-45 day notice is gone, I wonder why? I got my NOA1 email a couple of days after we submitted the I-130 and my case status showed up online a couple of days after that, the eternal initial review!! I've heard that the online case status only depends on how thorough the person accepting your file is, so I wouldn't worry, it's in the queue just like everyone else :) I can't wait for the first February filer to say they received their NOA2 :D

  2. Hi everyone, Woohoo PA party!! =D Its so lovely to have so many kind people on this site as a support throughout this process!

The new visa laws in the UK are simply barbaric, I have only just finished university and there is no way I will be able to get a £19,000 a year job, nor do I have the £64,000 in savings I would need to bring my new husband in. We had done the research before getting married and only found out about the changed whilst on honeymoon, it was incredibly stressful! We decided to go down the US visa route because although the process is quite long at least we can start it now, and I do love America =) the weather is certainly a lot better than here in the UK! The other thing about the UK visa rules is that I have to maintain the £19,000 a year job for the five years my husband would be on probation, and if I lost that job then my husband would be deported. Also meaning I would not be able to have any children until after those five years!

Nola123 - you are right about that loophole, but we couldn't see the point in basically delaying settling down, and that would add a years setp into it. Sick thing about the new UK law is that the financial requirements are ONLY for UK citizens, NOT for EU members. AKA if I was from France I would be able to bring my US husband into the UK (not even my own country!) without any financial requirements!

AKSinghSingh79 - Thank you for your help with that site, I hadn't seen that earlier and it makes me feel a little better =)

oohpartiv - York is great isnt it? I cant wait to be there with my husband and his family =D Lots of luck in your journey too!

  3. Results not typical, whatever the outcome might be. ;)

Are you both currently residing abroad and did you indicate that on the forms? If so, the approval from NBC should be about 40 days, if not then it will depend on the field office you are sent to.

I am still in the United Kingdom but my husband had to go back to the US where he is currently living in York, PA. We indicated both addresses on the forms, and chose the London US Embassy as the one closes to me.

Do you know if there is any way at all to find out what the local field office proccessing times currently are? I believe our local field office is Philadelphia =)

  4. Hi everyone!

we had a bit of a stressful situation, we got married in South Africa in October and found out there that my new husband wouldn't be able to return to the UK with me as was previously the case, as the laws on financial requirements had just gone up dramatically! Quite distress over our long separation and I am so very thankful to this website and all the people that have worked so hard to make the process easier for all of us!

    Married October 10th, 2012

Marriage certificate recieved January 18th, 2013

I-130 sent to Chicago lockbox on Tuesday Febuary 5th, 2013

USCIS Acceptance Confirmation & routed to NBC on Friday 8 February, 2013 (MSC code)

Listed at Initial Review on the USCIS website on 11 Febuary 2013

    Form I-797 received 14 February 2013

    So the wait begins!

I have been trying to find some information on the forums but I'm not all that certain I'm looking in the right place, but how long are MSC codes currently taking? I know since August 15 2012 that stand alone I-130's (Which is what mine is) are being sent to the NBC and to local field offices, I just cannot seem to get my head around how long that process is currently taking?

Thanks everyone, I miss my husband so much and it really helps that I know other people are in the same boat with me !
