So Oscar and I met on New Year's eve 2007 while I was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. When I came back to the States in late 2008 we were still trying to figure things out and kept in contact. After a few years of trying to figure it out and realizing that being apart is awful and there is never a perfect time to make life decisions, he proposed. I accepted and, despite reservations from family and friends, started this journey of getting him to the U.S. Although he is from Ecuador, he migrated to Italy over a year ago and is currently living in Italy. I know that it will all be worth it when he is here with me .
Although I can't say for sure, my experience and the experience of many others before you tells me that the best part about YOUR visa experience is that you'll interview in Italy, not Guayaquil. Consider yourself very fortunate.
