Congratulations but skip the NVC and contact the Department of State as it says in the notification. I feel if you contact the NVC in a weeks time, like I had, you will get the response that it is not there yet and that the notification you received doesn't mean anything. Yes the second person I talked to said this to me, and also to wait up to 8 weeks. The next day I contacted the DoS (thanks to some great advice) and found out my case number and that the NVC had it and should be done processing it soon. You can reach them at 202-663-1225 (press 1 for English and then 0 for an operator)
As for the I134 you should start doing that now, many of us start after the NoA2, because you will also need a lot of supporting documents (read the direction for it too, as it says you need duplicates for the support docs) for it. You should go to Embassy website and see what all is required and gather that as well and send it to. This is as far as I can advise you without seeing any timeline information.
Thank you for the advise. I called DOS today and got my NVC case number. Still haven't received the letter in the mail as yet. The guy at DoS advised that I can call NVC to get further details on the case, but as it is right now, NVC received the cases and is processing to be sent out to the local embassy.

HI All,
Received a text from USCIS on 07/25/2013 that my I-129F case hase been updated. I also received an email with the following:
Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)
Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity
On July 25, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.I called USCIS on 07/26/2013, and they confirmed my petition was approved (still waiting on the letter in the mail), and we should contact NVC for further case updates. I will give NVC a week or two before contacting them for my case number.
P.S. when do I have to fill out the I134 form? Will this be accompanied with the packet my fiance receives from her embasy?
FYI. January filler here. Our case was transfered 06/21/2012. Just over a month ago.

Hello,
I was wondering of anyone has any info on the posibility of obtaining a Transit Visa while being in the I-129F process.
My fiance and I are planning to go on another vacation, but everywhere were looking to go has in-transit flights. Please advise if it's wise to proceed with the in-transit visa, and the posibility of getting one.

Hi All,
I got this notice also in regards to th case being transfered, but when I called USCIS, I was advised that I was sent a I-797 for with further instruction. I did some research, and found what the form is. Waiting to get the letter to see what it actually is.
I-797, Notice of Action Issued when an application or petition is approved.

Most important reason for becoming a US citizen is the right to vote, voters registration. Depending upon your state with a drivers' license, may want to change your status from an LPR to a US citizen.
With SS, do have the option to mail your passport or certificate in, but being paranoid about never seeing those again, prefer to walk in.
First thing my wife wanted to do was to show her certificate to her employers legal department. They really made a big deal about that one year extension notice that she had clear up to her certificate. Can't blame them, could be fined by the state $16,300.00. Don't know where they came up with that number, for employing an undocumented person. Once they saw that certificate, her file was closed.
So, do you have to maintain your home countries passport?
Hello,
I'm in NY. I checked my Drivers License, and don't see anything regarding LPR. So i guess that doesn't apply to me.
In regards to the SS, i have to walk in with my ID, Passport/Certificate, and From SS 5.
I don't know if I have to retain my country passport, but since I recently renewed it (about a year ago), there is no need to discard of it.

Nope. You've come to the end of the road. Have u updated your status with social security admin? Besides that, you don't have to do anything else besides go on vacation with your new passport
I haven't updated my status with Social Security as yet. Do I just call them, or would I be required to go in?
And yes...vacation already booked

Hi All,
Completed my N 400 journey, and received my passport. I was wondering if there is anything else I need to do?

Hi All,
We recently applied for the K1, but we aren't officially engaged. I haven't picked out the ring as yet. Don't get me wrong, we already have our wedding plans set based on her approval, but was wondering if we need to be officially engaged before doing the interview?
I do however plan on going to her interiew, and thought if we should get engaged then, and have a celebration with the family before going to the interview, or can we skip all of that? Please advise.

Hi All,
Quick question about the poverty guidelines. Is that before or after tax.

Hi All,
Received my NOA1 on 02/05/2013. Received a SMS message today that my case was updated. I checked the website, and saw the following. Any idea what this means?
On February 11, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Hi All,
Is it true that the time from NOA 1 to NOA 2 would be shorter if you have recently (within 3 months) completed a background check with USCIS?
Reason I asked is that we got our NOA 1 on 02/05/2013, but I did my N-400 application on 07/2012, and had my interview on 11/26/2012, and got approved on 12/17/2012. Would the background check which was done for my N-400 be applied to the I-129F, thus speeding the process of NOA 2?
-
Hi All,
Received our NOA1 via SMS and e-mail (no lettes as of yet). Petition received on 01/31/2013, nd received the NOA1 on 02/05/2013.
I recently received my Citizenship (01/29/2013), and did my interview in November of 2012.
I have read somewhere her on the forum that the process from NOA1 to NOA2 usually involves background checks, and seeing that I recently completed my background check for my Citizenship application, does that improve our processesing time regarding the NOA2? Just curious to know.

Hi All,
I have all the required documents and proof prepared and ready to file. I have two final question before dropping this off at the post office tomorrow.
1) In regards to the passport pictures, do you recommend to enclose it withing a small envelope, with the corresponding name, and use paper clips to attach it to the corresponding G-325?
2) Do you think it's wise to use paper clips to separate all the contents within the package? reason being is that we included for our proof of having me 3 trips which we took over the 2 year span.

Hi All,
I did my Oath ceremony today, and finally completed the Naturalization process . I am applying for my passport, and have a quick question. Do I need to hand in the original copy of the certificate, or can I walk with a colored copy?

Other suitable proof of ongoing relationship can include phone bills and logs as you have already said and also things like online chat/instant messenger logs, emails, anything you have sent to each other through the mail like letters or gifts. Not to mention photographs of the two of you together.
Looks like we are all set to mail this package in. We included the G-1145 as one of the content on the cover letter. We basically have everything ready (G-325A his and hers signed, passport pictures signed, letter of intent signed and dated, proof of having met in the form of pictures, flight itinerary, hotel/villa accommodations, and also passport stamps of all of our trips, proof of ongoing relation in the form of phone call logs).
Will just need to mail everything out tomorrow and then the process beings for our journey.

You need a US phone number to open a Google Voice account. Any phone number will do as long as it's not attached to another Google Voice account. You can just buy a prepaid T-Mobile SIM card for 99c and activate it and use the number to open a Google Voice account. You don't need the regular phone number again once you open. After it's open, you can use Gmail with the same account or a smartphone app such as Talkatone (available for both iPhone and Android) to call for free to any number in the US via VOIP. Also, if you have talkatone running on your phone or Gmail open on your PC, anyone can call the Google Voice number and your phone will ring and you can talk for free (again, needs web connection). Otherwise, anyone from the US can leave you voicemails and you get them via email or on the web.
I used my Google Voice account when visiting my fiance in Ukraine to call back home to the US for free and it worked great. Got a cheap prepaid local SIM to call local numbers in Ukraine and used Google Voice for everything else.
That's exactly what we did. In putting this evidence of ongoing relationship, ii have a copy of my current bill as of Dec. 22 to today's date, and this shows all the calls coming from the Google Voice Number. I also took a screenshot of her Google Voice account settings which shows the Google Voice number (the US number), and also her name on the account. This will match the number on my call history in my phone bill.
Do I also need to add her call history? The reason being that I can't export the call history from Google Voice. I can only do screenshots, which will include about 7 pages of screenshots to match the time period as my call history. (total of about 75 calls ).
Please advise if the account settings is sufficient enough to match my call history. Also, if the time frame is also sufficient (12/22/2012-Present.

Passport stamps are excellent proof, you'll be just fine.
I did the same thing. Printed a few pics out in a Word document and wrote where/when they were. Very simple.
We have everything put together thus far, but are missing the proof of ongoing relationship. What should we use as proof of ongoing relationship? I have read that phone bills are a good source, but mine will show calls coming from the US because I created a Google account for her, where she can use Google voice, and we assigned a local US number to the account so every time she calls, is shows up as a local number. Please advice.
-
If you can, scan the photos and paste them into a word document, 2 per page with a small explanation under each.
Thank you all. We are planning on scanning our passport stamps and include them as well with the itinerary.
We will include 2 pictures each, and include them in the word document as they are all digital copies, and include a brief explanation with the title of the Trip.

Hi All,
We are in the process of submitting our I-129F. We took 3 vacations over a 2 year period, but the problem is that we have our flights itinerary, but can't find the boarding passes. Would the Flight Itinerary be sufficient enough?
Also, how do you recommend we send picture? Print them out and tape it to a sheet with written explanation, of should we just attach them into a word document with the explanation typed below/above each picture?
Your response is greatly appreciated.

Call DoS. They will advise you if NVC received the case, and will provide you with the NVC case number.
I received an email on July 25. Called Dos on 08/05/2013 and got my case number. Called NVC and got a status update today that the case has been sent out to the local consulate on 08/06/2013.
