Hello everyone,
I want to share my good news with all of you. I just got back home (Aruba) from Venezuela, where I had my interview yesterday (18 April).
The interview was a breeze and everyone there was very nice. I even got my visa on the same day so I could fly back home.
We are so happy right now. It's not possible to describe this happiness after all the long waiting.
On Monday I will be entering the US and be reunited with my love. Its been 3 very long days so soon i Will fill out the embassy review.
Hang in there...I know the waiting is long and hard....but the feeling of having your visa is all worth it.

What a great idea to start this forum. I am Andrea's friend. At the beginning of my process I called USCIS to find out where my interview would be, considering I am living in Curacao (I am the fiancee). After confirming it would be in Caracas, they said I should receive the passport the very next day. I also applied in Caracas for my current tourist visa and it was like that. Anybody knows whether once we receive the date of the interview by email, do we have to confirm the notification? Good luck everybody!!

Hi, I just called the NVC and they said mine was sent on the 26th Feb to the London embassy. How likely is it that this is mine?

Checking in and hoping that month of March brings ton of progress and good news for everyone

Do the math, you paid $2300 for RT ticket if you split it in half and half that would be $1150...well you just threw $1150 (the returning ticket u didn't use)...and even when the one way ticket was $3300, what u "wasted" was $150 more expensive than the difference between both prices (prize difference between OWT and RT: $1000 - price aprox of the return ticket u didn't use: $1150)
The funny part is that even when you already paid for that return ticket, the airline sold to someone else I bet for at least 2500 or more, so your little investment on them, help them to get almost $4000 for a seat that you already paid. So yes, from my perspective, even when you save almost 1000 box, it's a waste of money.

Hi! I've a venezuelan friend who also live in Curaçao and she is about to obtain her interview date at Caracas embassy. She is very very friendly and the only venezuelan member I know that is actually living in Curaçao, her vj member is Sandris&Jim. But basically if you are going to have your interview at Caracas you must follow the same instructions as everybody else who's attending that embassy.

I lived for many years in Holland. Today I called the ministry of justice in Holland to request a certificate of good conduct.
The man on the phone told me that Holland does not issues these since they are not accepted by the US.
Has anyone from Holland has the same experience? What should I do now?
I don't want to be missing papers on the day of the interview.
If anyone can help me with some information, I appreciate it very much

More details:
I knew it was closed before it was in the NVC computer since I saw it on the DHL website the day the packet was shipped, and then less than 24 hours later it was delivered to the consulate, and when I was talking to the NVC rep, she said she had nothing in her computer, but while we were talking, it showed up as shipped, case closed, and interview already scheduled, and she said an email would be on its way the same day--she was correct.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND we have Case and Invoice ID Numbers!!! yaaaaaaay!!
Now I just need to hope and pray that my taxes have been processed on Monday! Which is what I'm worried about, I called the IRS a couple of days ago and they said that they still haven't processed it and that they need 4-6 weeks, maybe longer. What would happen if I sent in my returns with the AOS before the IRS finished processing? Keep in mind that financially we're totally relying on my father as joint sponsor since I'm overseas and therefore don't have any income that can be used to sponsor. Has anyone come across this problem?

I really hope that's true, because everytime I ask them whether or not a March interview date is possible they either tell me that they are done scheduling for it or that they can't predict it

Okay folks UPDATE! so I called back again (b/c I really didn't like that ladies attitude lol) and I got a very nice guy on the phone this time (sorry not sure if it was Gus lol I didn't ask his name) newho he said that March is indeed still available and he doesn't know why the other lady told me that. He said that they are doing things a little bit differently now in that they use to schedule only the 1st week of the month and that was it but now what they are doing is this, if the the embassy gets a hold of them (NVC) at any time to let them know they have available times then they will start scheduling appointments and so the scheduling once a month doesn't really apply anymore as they really want to clear out some of their work load so March interviews are still possible at this time too! Okay I just wanted to let you all know that! have a good day!

NVC just invoiced my IV bill! Paid it, and am going to send both AOS and IV packets tomorrow! Progress! Hopefully I'll the case will get completed soon!

Just called the NVC this morning. Now they say that my case is complete! In queue for an interview appointment.

He works for a government agency...he's automatically annoyed and its not your fault

I have another question: In this email that I received today from NVC they use my maiden name (beneficiary). In all other emails from them they used my married name. I think it has something to do with the fact that I sent a copy of my old passport (maiden name). Today I picked up my new passport with my married name. What should I do? Scan it and send an update email or what? Thank you for your input I'm sooooooo happy
