  1. Anna C-Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately we had already left so I didn't see it until now. The darn site was so freaking slow it wouldn't load for me. We ended up just getting the My Ride 65. It installed in the car just fine. My mom said she had seen it on tv the other day as one of the top 5 car seats, just under the Britax. So I guess it's ok. Thanks!

  2. Congrats Lisa!

I know I don't post very often but I read a lot. I have a question about convertible car seats. We're getting ready to buy some. Well, actually we bought the Safety 1st seats yesterday and they are horrible. We're taking them back to the store today. They are huge and won't even fit in my husbands big F-250 king cab truck much less in my little Hyundai SUV. We need to get something else but I have no idea what to get. I know about the Britax but my parents are buying them for us and WILL NOT spend that much on a car seat. The ones we bought yesterday were on sale plus I had to 20% off coupons to justify the cost. Unfortunately the Britax's are not on sale right now and my parents want to buy them NOW. I was looking at the Graco My Ride 65 but read some not so good reviews on it. I want to rear face the boys as long as possible so does anyone have any suggestions on what seats to buy?

  3. Back from 39w4d appointment. Still 1cm, 70% effaced, baby's head's at -2. Looks like I'll be joining the overdue crowd. Awesome...not

    :crying:

Just thought I would post this for you ladies. I got it from another pregnancy forum I'm a member of. I notice it doesn't have any links proving the validity of the statement but figured you all could check it out for yourselves if you were really interested.

Warning on fenugreek - just found this out. Fenugreek is part of the peanut family and can trigger peanut allergies. (Peanut proteins transfer through bm and can trigger a reaction in your baby)

what's with the name change, booty?

I'm not really posting on VJ anymore. I just come on to read this thread from time to time. I figured I didn't need a "name" to do that so I changed it.

    Why? :(

    Saludos,

    Caro

I kind of, grew out of VJ, I guess you'd say. I don't have any reason to hang around anymore. Plus, I do have my hands full with two little boys. I still like to read this thread though because I learn lots of things. I don't usually have anything to contribute so that's why I just read.

BTW, good luck Caro! I hope things are moving along for you now and it goes well.

I do actually have a comment today though. The boys have outgrown NB clothes in the last couple of days. We are moving on to 0-3 month stuff and some of it is getting too short. It's amazing how fast they grow. I just packed up a whole box of their clothes. I'm probably going to donate most of their preemie stuff to the hospital where they were born. We buy most of our clothes at Walmart, the Garanimals stuff. I love it. It's pretty good quality and it's not expensive at all, especially when you're buying two of everything. I also like the equivalent at Target. I just can't bring myself to spend a ton of money on things when they are only going to wear it for a couple of months, if even that.

  6. (F) i hope things get better for you, just sayin'

Thanks! It doesn't help either that one of my babies is sick. I feel so helpless because I can't do anything to help him. Just sayin'

:( i am very sorry sister charity..those little lads have had a tough go at it...my thoughts and prayers for your little one.. brother dean..just saying

Thanks Dean! It's even worse because it's my little Trace. He's been the underdog from the beginning and it seems like every little thing that is going to go wrong goes wrong with him. It just breaks my heart. Just sayin.

  7. I'm sick of people getting their feelings hurt over minute details And I'm sick of people not taking into consideration what someone else might have going in their life before they just up and get pizzed about something. Just sayin'

No offense, but I recall not too long ago you did the very thing to someone on here, just sayin'.

Um, you don't know the whole story so it's best you not stick your nose in it. Just sayin'

Just sayin.....my NOSE was never in it. I have no battle with you, just responding to your comment is all.

Well all I wanted to do was come on here and blow off a little steam about work. It's a sad day when you can't even do that anymore on VJ without being jumped on, just sayin.

  8. I don't understand why I can't come post a simple post, just sayin'. I'm not the one that started the drama. The people assuming they know what I'm talking about and bringing up past issues are the ones starting the drama, just sayin'.

  9. Actually, I'm not here to stick my nose into anything (but if you're putting it on a message board then it is free game), but lots of us know the whole fvckin' story. Just sayin'.

Ok, keep assuming. It's ok, I don't mind because I know what I'm talking about here. I find it funny everyone on here are mind readers, just sayin'.

  12. I can't wait to be with him, seriously. I miss him even more now that I am sick at home. Cook, shop, sleep in, hold hands, laugh - everyday stuff that is so special when you can't have it everyday.

I hope my shoulde recovers until then, so we can go on our little USA roadtrip, attend Dairyfarmer's wedding, see Mags and Platy and my family in OH. :( The way my shoulder hurts at the moment, I don't see myself surviving a 1,600 mile trip in a car. :(

Julie - how far south are you going on your trip or is it all north?

Hola Hermanita Lenina - como estas?

Well, we plan on going from Charlotte to Indianapolis, spend the night there; then to Kalmazoo, MI, spend 2 nights there; then to Cleveland, OH to see my family (o maybe only to Kent, OH), then spend a night there and then back to Charlotte. I hope we can make it! It's a long trip and I am not sure I can cope. I didn't think that shoulder surgery would have such an impact.

I notice you forgot to mention your stop in Boone to see the boys. :(

 Poor Jules can't come to Charlotte without both of us ganging up on her

  Yeah, we act like that's the only reason she's coming to town. I mean, forget Pedro. Come see us!!!

  14. good little sister and you..javi and the boys/

by the way, i heard julie was pregnant

    They are great!

 I don't think we should start rumors of people being pregnant on VJ. That tends to blow up in faces around here. I'm staying far, far away from that one. I'm sure if she were her and Pedro would be very happy. But I haven't heard anything about it.

last time i started a poll in mena, jp became pregnant. and then my next pick after that was jenn.

Well whatever you do don't pick me next.
