You've never had a single letter for your wife and step daughter. What you had was NOA1 for your wife's I-751. There was no info about a dependent - A#, name.. Not a word.

A dependent (step daughter) should have received her own NOA1 - it's called Verification Of Inclusion Of a Dependent in Filing of Form I-751. But for some reason a lot of dependents have never gotten their NOA2- seems like USCIS did "quit" sending them.

Anyway, that's fine if you are IN the country, but if you are planning to travel abroad, you should get your step daughter's passport stamped with I-551 as well - she, most likely, won't be allowed boarding since her status is unknown for Customs of any other country.

Green card and an Extension Letter are can be kept/taken by USCIS Office in exchange for a stamp, so yes, this is normal -  both documents were almost expired,  so would have been useless anyway.
You should make a copy of kid's green card in case if it's taken by USCIS.

    Good luck!

P.S. Don't know how old is your step daughter, but has she ever received her own Biometric Appointment Letter?... There is an actual case # on ACS Appointment Notice, not on NOA1, and after I-751 is received by USCIS, both, a parent and a dependent get their own case # and it's indicated on Biometric Appointment Letter.

I don't know your dates for your NOA1 but you can go for an i55i around a month before the expiration of your extension letter. As for appointments they refresh around midnight, its hard to get one if look during the day.  I dont think you were looking at the wrong version. So to confirm yes you should be able to get an i55i stamp. As far as CSC well they are currently taking around 14 months to process applications. They have slowed down to the point they have  nearly stopped. Hopefully soon they will start to play catch up.

How often do they ask about financial conditions in the interview? If I stay here for another 7 months, my wife will go crazy. I had told my wife that once we get approval things would go quicker. Now it will be another 7 months if I am lucky.

DirtyHarry got a reaction from Poobee in Tax extension RFE????
I am filling out my I-864 and I am stressed. I make enough money to support my wife and step daughter. I filed an extension for the year 2013 for my taxes. I have an e mail from TurboTax as a confirmation. I plan to send the email confirmation, my W2 for 2013 as well as my tax transcripts from 2012, 2011, 2010 along with a letter from my employer and 2 recent pay stubs.
I am just afraid of getting an RFE asking me for my tax return. I had an RFE earlier to prove that i had a bonafide relationship and I am at the edge of my patience.
Is this fairly common to get an RFE for tax extension? I will be filing my taxes this week. But it will take a few weeks for the transcripts to come through and i do not want to wait.
What should I do? Please guide.

You must have magic in your words, Christeen. The RFE got approved today. I needed to hear some good news. I am happy that it will go to the next stage. Thank you again for your good wishes.

Thank you, all. I think I now understand what Front loading really is. I was going to put in a few marriage snaps and a couple of affidavits but that will not cut it. I have some more work to do to send detailed documents. I guess it will be a pretty thick packet then because I will put in what ever I can. The good part is I will be able to use this compiled information again later.

DirtyHarry got a reaction from Frenchba in Spouse visa processing times
So I am going to be filing my wife's visa. I looked at the processing times and I am already depressed. VSC is 249, CSC is 234 and TSC is 150ish.
Can i have my papers sent to TSC so they process quicker? Is there any way to expedite the processing? This is going to be a nightmare year
