Sweet dream reacted to KayDeeCee in EAD approved, but not AP, should I expect EAD/AP combo card?
If you get the EAD/AP combo card, which almost everyone does as of late, then it will state 'Serves as I-512 Advance Parole' at the bottom above the expiration date. The online status updating system is never reliable. It works for some and doesn't for others. I have seen other people post that they got the update that their EAD was approved but the AP never changed. They all received the EAD/AP combo card anyway.
Let us know if you get the combo card when it arrives in the mail.

Outrageous fee. Unbelievable. She needs to be reported to AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association).
Fire her and do it yourself or hire one for the average fee of about $1500.

I got the NOA2 on May 20. Called NVC on the 28th and they said they didn't have it yet and to wait 15 business days. Called again yesterday (June 3), and they had it and gave me my case number.

I will be happy if we get our case number within a month - NOA2 was May 29th so we've got a ways to go. Maybe I've been conditioned to expect things to move slowly. I wasn't expecting to get USCIS approval in 125 days, so we needed an extra couple of weeks to get everything in order (police check, etc.).

I was starting to worry about my case getting to NVC after NOA2 May 17th ... since there are a small but growing number of horror stories here about USCIS never sending the files on, or sending them to the wrong place, etc ... and some filers several days ahead of mine (May 18, 21, 24) had already gotten through NVC completely.
However, today when I called after the agonizing weekend of wondering whether I might be in for more delays, my case was there! Just today. Hasn't been shipped out yet but I did get my case number.
It took mine 17 calendar days after the NOA2 to just arrive at NVC. (10 business days, they say to allow 15 business days max.) If your NOA2 is only May 24, you're still within very normal times, I think!
Also note that CR1/IR1 cases are processed much more slowly. With spousal visas it seems to take on average of a month, if not two, to get to NVC. K-1 does go faster and is usually about 7-10 business days -- not calendar days.

latest info on nvc is that they are swamped
have you confirmed your case has been received by nvc? the letter from uscis saying it has been sent is not always accurate.
I have been approved for over six weeks and my file is still sitting at that stupid office that approved it.. not that I am just sitting back and waiting for something to come in the mail
if they have not received it, you have to wait 15 business days until you can ask nvc to research
if they have received it, it has been taking up to 20 business days to get a case number

This is a message in the K-1 about K-1 couples . I wanted to send out some words of encouragement today . This is a very long process for most of us . We need to stay strong and keep the faith . VSC OR CSC lets keep up our positive outlook and know that the time is coming for all of us . Do what ever you need to do during the day to keep your faith in the process . I know it can be very hard to see the ups and downs from the centers . I read about the length of times and the disappointments we face each day our NA02 does not come . It is a painful process and sometimes it can end relationships . I pray now today that everyone can keep up the faith remain strong and reach the goal in the journey ! At the end all of this will be very worth it and a nice story of courage and strength to tell for sure .
There are so many here who will help and they are a true blessing .
    God Bless

That was then and this is now. Timeframes change. Your congressperson will be able to do nothing for you unless something is wrong with your case. It is not a fast track to approval. Stop line-jumping.

This is true, seems they do a few at the start of a month, then a few at the end of the month and then they seem to skip about 2 months and throw approvals out from all over the place. Like last week they started doing November then did some end of December start of January on Friday, now they are approving January 31! This week, #######!?

Congratulations....although I still expect mine around August (and won't be shocked if it's as late as October) it does put a smile on my face to see a filer so close to my date get approved. Even though there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the order, at least CSC is moving and I think over the next few months, things should settle in and be back to "normal" again.

I went to check the website like I do every day, more for processing time updates than approval, since my NOA 1 was February 6th 2013. I was so shocked when I saw "Post Decision Activity" May 15th We were approved!! I know there are so many who have been waiting a long time. I wish you luck. Thanks for all the help. I did this myself with no attorney. Just followed what I found on the site. I am caught so off guard, I don't even know what to do next....just sitting here in shock.

I wonder why CSC skips petitions, when I was viewing January I noticed they will work on 7 or 10 in a row .... then skip 1 or 2 and work on 7 or 10 more in a row.
would be interesting to know if all these skip petitions share something in common, possable red flags, criminal back ground that requires additional back ground checks , field work authorized , not organized and looks like more work , the petition is thicker then the book war and piece .....

I agree...be careful with what you post..she can use it against you...anyway I think you should stop with the process at the USCIS and contact them by phone about your situation...I think they have the best answer to you..because you wife cant get what she wants..she's a bad person and you need to make a decision...record your talks with her about she's making you proceed with the forms..then you can use it against her...anyways Good Lucky

Make an Infopass appointment at your local office and inform the officer that you are withdrawing your support of your wife's I-751 joint petition. They will probably have you sign something to that effect. She will still be able to file RoC by herself, but it will make things more complicated for her.
While at the Infopass you could ask the officer about your belief that your wife entered into your relationship solely for a green card. He may direct you to an ICE officer in the building or have someone come to talk to you about it.
Do not proceed with the joint filing. You owe it to your own dignity to stop endorsing her crimes and let her stand on her own two feet, come what may.

SOP nowadays. Used to be that they didn't add that number until they were ready to adjudicate the case. More recently they started adding that number right after you file.
All it means is your case is filed and you are waiting in line with the rest of us. Everything is normal

Sweet dream reacted to UK-USA-K1 in Just 7 approved on 29th?? ND 2 ON 27TH?? Please CSC dont slow down
We all like to see the quick work, but VSC people are mainly just trying to tell you that they know what you're in for. They can foreshadow, because they saw the exact same thing occur. Stuck on a July date for the longest time....daca files transferred, then a sudden influx of approvals...finally getting within the 5 month timeframe and then a sudden slow down in approvals.
Basically the point here is 7 is not a slow day by USCIS/VJ standards. Don't get used to even that many. Soon it will slow down. Count on it. Otherwise you'll be sorely disappointed.
