Does it say anything on your letter about rescheduling? My letter gave two days for walk ins and advised to write them back if I needed a different time.
It said nothing about rescheduling..............just stated that they will mail card withing 60 days
-
i rec'd a letter in the mail yesterday saying that my new card should be mailed to me within 60 days. however, i didn't rec'd any update online during my wait to say that my case has been "touched".
I am so excited, the next step is citizenship!!

My case to remove condition off GC was transferred from VSC to CSC on March 10, 2009 and I am still awaiting approval……….getting a little anxious
-
I hope it's a good thing, we too got transferred on 10th March. They got our file in early Oct 2008 been through the biometrics and all that. I'm hoping for a faster turn around. I'm wondering too if all this moving around is due to changes in the government? Are they shuffling things around from the top down throughout all the federal agencies to bring it into line with new policy?
Just a thought!
Thank you guys for the feedback

i rec'd an email saying that on march 10, 2009 my case was transferred to the CSC. is this a positive or negative for my case?
Thank you

yes, carry the extention letter along with your expired GC when you travel
I feel a bit nervous traveling with my expired gc and this entension letter. I fear that when i try to re-enter the USA the immigration may give me a hard time

I submitted my paperwork in October of 2008 to have my condition removed from my Green Card and i rec'd a letter from USCIS stating that my status as been extended for 12 months until they process my paperwork and issue the new card. Since then i have done the biometrics. Now i am wondering if it would be ok for me to travel oversea with this letter showing that my status is extended.

-
Take a look at this document for USCIS

Yes, as Jen mentions above, you'll have to get conditions removed first, and then a year later (still married *fingers crossed*), you can apply for citizenship. I can't wait either! Hubby and I are both very into politics, and I want to actually vote in this country
so i can can apply aftre 3 years instead of 5 years?
-
well after all is said i can say that this EAD is a great form of insurance until you get your green card
-
i now have my green card which expires in 2 years from now i got it the first week of january 2007, when can i apply for citizenship?
