Arrived in the US yesterday, adjusting to my new home very quickly and having a great time His family helping plan for the wedding which is on January 18th, after which we will be doing our AOS.

like a month ago we recibed a letter from the uscis, telling us that they could not admit a CD of our engagement party because it was not the format requiered. and yesterday we recibed a letter telling us that they cant not continue the process since there is not enough information about the two year meeting requirement. even tough we sent pictures, letters, recives of hotel, etc. What should we do? seems to be that the evidence got lost and the uscis didnt recived

Interview APPROVED! California here we come!
-
Hey. You must be reaching the end of your 6 weeks for a new X-ray. How's that going? Hope everything is OK!
-
VISA was approved this morning!! yaaaaaaa!!!
-
I love my fiance so much, and I can't wait to get through the rest of this process so I can marry him.
-
Got a huge, horrible bruise down my arm from the medical yesterday. Suppose it's worth it to be one step closer!
-
Have a perma-headache with worry about the interview and it's still 2 weeks away. Worried about being married so recently and proving his US domicile mostly.
-
Medical Yesterday. Everything looks to be ok. If nothing shows up on Chest Xray or Bloods they said it shoudl be with the embassy on Monday. Now we wait
-
When i say i've only just sent it, i mean that i'm on my way to post it now. I could be wrong about first of the month. It definitely used to be for other interviews. ALthouhg their Twitter feed says they are currently booking appointments up to the 27th July so probably wrong on that one.
-
Kind of panicing as i've rememebred that US embassy does appointments on the first of the month and I've only just sent off my Ds-2001
-
Phew! Medical done. Didn't have any requests for more info, so I should assume that's a pass, pending blood results?
-
Medical first thing tomorrow morning. Normally this sort of thing would not phase me, but actually feeling very anxious about it. Erk!

Hello ,does someone filling for a CR-1 have to pay for a visa fee and if so how much does he or she have to pay . Thnks

You got your interview date! Congrats How long was the gap between returning packet 3 / medical and getting your date? They seem to be really on the ball at the moment.

Hey. Have you had an noa1 yet from London? We've not heard anything yet
-
Hey, just an FYI - We got our NOA1 via email too (the email was sent the day after the NOA1 receipt date in the email, and it got trapped in our spam folder so we didn't notice for a week). I don't think they bother to send a paper version from London so don't wait for one. Whatever the email they send you says - the date in red on the attachment of the receipt is the NOA1 date you should use! Good luck!

Ah, I see you abandoned the K1 and are going to DCF CR1. You might have been lucky in this current wave of CSC approvals, but it is more of a sure thing with DCF, + the easier post processing. Good luck!

Yeah. It feels more predictable, if nothing else, and not doing AOS is a good bonus. We had our lawyer withdraw our K1, but CSC hasn't reconciled that yet - so I know what we would have had to deal with - an RFE last week. Love to see if it's for the thing I told the lawyers they dud wrong and they ignored. So, I think we're better off. Glad to see the NOA2s coming through and I saw you finally got yours! I hope it works out for you.

I just came from my lawyer to file the petition for the K-1 visa and was told I cant file because I was still married at the time the relationship started, I thought as long as the divorce was finalized by the time I file the the petition it will be ok. Does anyone have any info that can help me. Thanks
-
Being married when the relationship started is entirely unrelated to the petition, so long as you're divorced. Your requirements for petition are simply having met in the last 2 years, being free to marry and having intent to marry within the 90 days that the beneficiary arrives (and that the relationship is real, obviously).
