Got mine today too. Seems today's the day for Jul 18 shipped to NVC cases.
Did you call them up vbtwo? or notified?
and Great news for you
-
So how long does it take for TSC to send the case to NVC?
I would say, in many of our cases right now, it takes about 3 weeks until you get the notification that you petition has been shipped to the NVC. As for the actually case number assignment, that is probably 4 to 5 weeks out from the NoA2 approval. Yea I know it's a drag from the 2 weeks we all have read, but spend this time collecting all those documents you will need to send your love, and researching their Embassy. It also doesn't hurt to draw up a plan for what you will do when they get here, Social Security number, Marriage and Documents, and AoS. There are some documents he/she could get duplicates of now, and translated, that will help later in the process.
-
It's been awhile since I've thrown some of my positive energies on you guys, been in the trenches of post-NoA2, but wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who is moving onto the next stage. Also for all of my brothers and sisters still waiting, your time is coming too...just stick with it and keep moving forward. Just look at your feet, they were made to carry you forward right? So does everything else in life
-
To get some clarity on the subject, you mean that not all the supporting documents were sent along with your original case? So you sent in the missing documents for them to add to your I-129F currently in Texas because of the transfer?
Well for the address this is what is on my I-797 Notice of Action from my transfer, and it's also on the bottom of my NoA2:
"Texas Service Center
P.O. Box 851488 - Dept. A
Mesquite, TX 75185-1488"
As to what you might expect to happen I would say that I have no knowledge about adding documents to an already submitted I-129F outside of an RFE. That said I would say that either you will get an RFE to submit these missing documents or that, and hate to put thoughts in an already draining process, you will be denied. Someone with more experience in this will probably chime in. You (well the petitioner will have to) may also try to contact your Senator's and or Congressmen's office as well, being that you are now out of the reasonable processing window.
Edit:
Would you fill out your Timeline profile? It helps many of us help you when we know more of the details as well

Go to a wine store and ask for a cheap-but-good muscat; that's what that wine is.
My wife and I like Liberty Creek Merlot for an "everyday" wine. We save the better stuff for other ocassions.
Спасиба!

Thank you everyone for replying, and it seems that our cases are still collecting dust at TSC, in transit, or sitting in the NVC waiting to be looked at. Let's hope that they get to them soon, and we all get our case number posthaste. At least after NVC we should be in the clear on the waiting game, as I like to believe the Embassy will be a little easier to deal with. Shh if i'm in denial about this one, let me stay there
-
at the nvc stage, it really is a waiting game. it is unlikely that it will take the full 8 weeks
All of it is definitely one big waiting game. It's like the longest musical chairs you've ever played, where you are waiting for the music to start up again. Though I'm curious as to if anyone else in my ship group has contacted the NVC and obtained a case number yet. Now that would make me believe that either they haven't looked at mine just yet, or that I should talk to someone higher up to confirm.
-
On July 18, we received an e-mail that our file had been shipped out to the NVC. I waited a week, which is today, and then called them up to inquiry about our case. I was given the same line last time when I called that it takes up to 8 weeks. By the way our approval (NoA2) was June 26. I was wondering if anyone else from TSC with the NVC ship notification on 7/18 has received their case number yet? I told the lady about the notification that it had been shipped to them, and she said that was not the case. Now dealing with this people from the USCIS level I'm sure this lady is limited in what she knows and says. So if anyone has from our shipped group, that will at least give me some more details to push myself to someone who might know more.

Where as I prefer a nice cold, and refreshing, locally brewed beer, my Fiancee prefers her bottle of wine. Now I have yet to find a wine that I can sit and drink, but I know it's out there, which leaves me a little stunted when it comes to picking one. When I was in S-P with her I went to the store a few times and got her this bottle of Inkerman, and myself a nice brown paper bag beer. It's one of her favorites and it's not very expensive either, the problem is I cannot find it here. I've seen an Inkerman here and there but it's a red wine. So guys or gals I've come to you, any of you wine drinkers out there know of a good substitute for this one? Much appreciated if I can have something at home waiting for her after her flight
-
I'm just chiming in with that I would do in your situation, since mine is a little different as I was fortunate enough to visit my Fiancee one last time after submitting the I129f. In your shoes I would probably break my emails down into 3 groups, right after you submitted your documents, the middle, and present. I would include ones where we talked about our future together, and what we will do when we are together. I would also find a few that had light-hearted conversations that show how well we interact with each other. Then get a copy of my phone record, and if you have the slips from DHL still I would send them along as well. This to me would show the officer that yes we still are together, we talk everyday, I send her gifts, and we have a relationship. Also vise versa, if she has sent you anything as well. Like I said these are just my personal thoughts, and maybe someone with experience with your consulate office will chime in.
I would also check out: http://nairobi.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html if you haven't already
Best of Luck and may your journey be paved out of smooth stone.

Russians are so depressing- lol
There is truth in your words but this guy is All American.

Ironic when fake news has such an impacted as real news, and even then "real" news is tailored for the consumption for the masses. Though some may troll on it and just go with the flow, there are those who will believe it when they think others do as well. At work I'll hear people say I saw this on facebook or read this on there, and how they can't believe someone would say/do that. However it seems many of us are lazy to fact check and will choice to believe or not believe before we do. However, we all have freedom of thought, interpretation, and perception.
-
Did you happen to get the email/notification that your petition was shipped to the NVC?
Reading your post I think you were in the same group that I was sent in as well. I'm not sure if we should give them 2 weeks from this point to get a number, but i know I will be calling a few days from now. Once you have the number I know that you can at least schedule the medical exam but I think you have to wait for the Embassy before picking the interview. However, being that you are in a different country then where ours is being processed it could be different. As for how long from NVC to Embassy I've read it can take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks. Once you know it's shipped off to them you can start contacting them directly to find out when they have it.

I just wrote in my updated letter that I am reaffirming my intent from the original letter that I will marry XXXX XXXXXXXX within 90 days of her admission into the United States via the K1 visa.
-
Geez...i just realized I called you brother! More like sister in arms! Sorry about that. Though can i blame it on the early wake up call i received from my fiancee this morning? For her it's afternoon lol.
-
Well it seems I ran out of time to edit, but I was going to say that I've read a few stories where people had their petitions returned because of the check. Either they forgot to put it in, or it wasn't the first thing the sorting center saw. I believe they just look for that check and the initial I-129F form and send it off to where it belongs.
I would say after you've sent it in to start focusing on the future together and forget it's even out there, as this first part is the longest wait. If you can plan another trip to see her, other then the one T-Bone says is required, I would try to do it. Now is also the time for you to build your evidence for the Embassy Interview, though you being there is a sure sign of the relationship
-
For our petition I sent supporting documents for the 2 trips we took together. This consisted of her's and my boarding passes and passport/visa stamps. Also pictures from the trips (at least 3 ea), and if we did anything like see a movie a copy of both our stubs. One hotel we stayed at required we wear bracelets, and another we had a rental agreement so I threw in copies of those. Then I put in our first facebook chat (which I limited to 5 pages), our more recent VK chat (print screen w/date and time), our most recent skype (print screen w/picture of her engagement ring), and finally Skype log and phone logs. Also her and her friend both wrote me a letter while we were on the first trip together before I left, and since it was on the hotel letterhead I added that as well. Everything I put in must have been solid enough that there was no RFE.
Best of luck to you brother, and just remember to include the check and have it be the first thing they see.
Edit:
Many documents I highlighted important facts so that the person working on the case could easily find them. I also included a post-it note on almost each document explaining if it belonged to me or her, and about it or things I felt they should know.
-
Truly feels just like yesterday I was going through our documents over and over again before sending them out. Even went so far as to scan ever document and load them on Dropbox for her to review as well. The good news is that even though you'll need to bring patience it does all go by pretty quickly, even when somedays feel very long and lost. We only have a few more months left before we are together, but brother I wish you the most expedite and smooth journey.
I'd say if you are able to swing another trip to go see her during the process I would and this way you'll have more evidence for ongoing relationship at the Embassy level. Best of luck and have a great journey together!
..and as always you know if you have any questions, or need a pick me up to come here and we will set you straight!!

There used to be a clothing outlet in Warren. Is it still there? I haven't been to Warren for a long time but I am not all that far away. Beaver Falls is where I am at exactly which isn't much bigger than Warren.
A choice of Buffalo or Boston seems a bit strange to me. Buffalo used to be almost a second home to me ages ago and I do like the place but comparing the two strikes me as close to saying I am going to take up a new profession and either plan to be a taxi driver or a brain surgeon. Buffalo being the taxi driver. Both are a little snowy for my tastes but Boston seems like it could be a cool place to live. If I ever decide to move I would want it to be a little further south than I am right now.
Small world running into someone who's been through this town. Though still a surprise when I read Dale Carnegie's Win Friends book and see the town mentioned as well. As for the outlet you might be talking about the Blair Outlet that use to be on route 6, but it's been closed down for quite awhile now. I'm sure if you were to return up here you would see quite a bit has changed. A few buildings knocked down, Northwest Savings Bank Expanding, and a new parking garage with waterfront housing next to it. There is the walmart as well, and a plaza located there too, and we just recently had a Sheetz open. Also our bath salt community is doing some expanding too =X
As for Buffalo vs Boston, you are right that there is quite the difference between the two. Buffalo does have its charms, but definitely isn't as talked about as much as Boston. Boston seems to have a lot of cultural things going on, and of course the sea (one thing I miss from growing up in South Carolina). At some point in time we will move toward warming weather, but for now we'll stay up in this area while she finishes out her Education and gets a taste of the northern life.

im in the enlistment process for Coast Guard myself right now and here's what i know. we don't have to renounce russian citizenship in order to become a linguist, we just have to be american citizens (same goes for any job that requires secret clearance).. also, we can't be officers, for the same reason. If she has a conditional card, she can't go into the Air Force.
Thank you for the insight, both of you. Though I've definitely emailed the recruiters already with these questions, though I wonder what Russian Law says. I'm curious if there is any clause in their system that says you cannot serve in another Countries military and maintain your citizenship. She will have her conditional first, so it looks like no matter what she would have to wait for the Permanent Green Card?
-
So my girl and I were talking about job options today and things she wants to do. She brought up, and in the past she has too, joining our military. I've told her if she wanted to look into it that I would support her in it. I've been realistic about the whole thing with her, about training and what goes on, and how the military works. My father was a 25yr vet in the navy, and I went though the enlisting process myself. The thing that would kill it for her is if she had to give up her Russian Citizenship in order to do it, and I believe that is the case. After all I can't see a foreign country liking its citizen to enlist in another's country military. Especially when she wants to go into linguists. I'm looking for something that says that is so or not, and was wondering if anyone knew what Russian, or even American law said about this. Links would be appreciated as then I can show her.
Thanks everyone, and hope you all are having a great Sunday.

your one of the first batches ive seen(early batches that is) to be sent by VSC, were all of you transferred to TSC by any chance?
We were transferred to the TSC near the end of May and approved June 26.
