I just got approved for 10 years green card based on 2years of marriage,when am I eligible for CITIZENSHIP?is it 3years of marriage or 3years of Greencard approval?.

It is indeed depressing but we thankGod we are finally together now. My husband is the USC ,he calls me 3 to 4 times daily.. when his driving to work we go together,his lunch break, before I go to bed then before he goes to bed. I send SMS a lot to him as he doesn't like typing he prefers calling. When I finally got to the states the first thing he said was " goodbye pingo"( the call card he uses). Loll.. Honestly we are grateful to God. Pls hang in there for those waiting as "delay is not a denial". GOODLUCK!

My Greencard came in today!! I am so grateful to God!! Tomorrow march 12th would make me a month in the U.S..wow how sweet is this card!!!..Sorry jus saying hw I feel *covers face* loll I am soooo happy. My SS# is yet to come through though. Also I recieved two "welcome notice" same mail twice jus before my Greencard came thru, does anyone knw why? Or probably an error.Ohh my husband and I have been jumping like babies we r so happy as we've come a long way for this moment...u knw. We are thankful to God for all!

Wowww all I can say is GODBLESS AMERICA!!! The journey was long and smooth. The immigration officers are sooo lovely and kind! I'm so happy to reunite with my booooo!

Sorry but that letter is not coming a USC but a Nigerian and trust me the Consular reading this letter wud be SHDH! Sorry bout ur denial but you have to be truthful and honest both here and the embassy. Also take it slow to avoid mistakes.GOODLUCK!

I guess il jus keep going through my folder of files or album to avoid being nervous cos I am rightnw even when my interview is miles away. If not what would one be staring at jus sitting there. I would even be more nervous mere looking at the people approved and turned down. Ghoshhhhh!

The cool thing about this VJ is that you can get really excited for someone you just met and have a lot of support from everyone! I'm so lucky to be part of this community!

I tried to get mine from glo and they emailed me back saying I have to go thru their legal department!!!!!!! Apparently one can't easily get their call history record in naija...too bad.Everything with Nigeria is so stressful.i guess u shud call their customer care and ask them Wht u can do to get it.GOODLUCK

I know we all know about the 419 scams and all the other scams that are rampant in Nigeria, I'm not naieve to them, but I want to share this experience I had today.
I just received a very disturbing phone call from Nigeria. The man said he was from the Consulate and he had my forms. But he needed payment of fees. BUT I HAVEN'T SENT ANY FORMS YET! So I told him "let me call you back" and he said "Why? Are you very busy right now? Because this is very important." I said "yes, I will call back." He asked "when?" I said "about twenty minutes." He said "ok but this is very important matter."
So I called my fiance. Julius told me not to accept any calls from Nigeria unless I know it is him (Julius). He said there are men in his country making a very bad name for Nigeria. (But I know all about the scams already. He nows that I know. Yet he feels he needs to keep telling me and protecting me). Julius called the number and told the man he has been reported for fraud and "we know you called an American asking for money." He said the man denied calling. Julius asked him where he was calling from and the man hung up.
Julius said no one knows (except family) we are making plans to file our petition so it must be connected to the cyber cafe somehow, where he went to print out the forms and letter of intent. He told me the people there would not let him print from his laptop and said he had to forward the forms to be printed. But we are trying to figure out where my phone number is. I sent him a copy of one of the forms I filled out so he could help me check it for accuracy. My number may have been on it.
Julius told me the scammers are very clever and he's not quite sure how they get all their information but he warned me again not to send any money to anyone even if they sound very convincing, not to answer nigerian phone calls, and we are going to rethink how we use the cyber cafes. Again... I know you all know this already (as do I) but just want to pass it on.
