Looking to bring mom to the USA.
a few questions:1.- When they ask for birth certificate, do they ask for mine and my mom, or just mine?
and does this document needs to be translated\notarized or original from my country is fine?
2.- question 61, and 62 indicate whether the beneficiary will seek adjustment of status inside the United States or consular processing abroad.
Mom is in Ecuador, so consular processing abroad correct?
3.- are there any sample forms of the I-130 here?
4.- my dad just passed away, will the document ask about my dad, do I need to provide anything about him like death certificate? Or should I just concentrate on my mom’s documents?
5.- should I do this through a lawyer or is this a simple process?
thank you!

We are pleased to announce the reactivation of the interview waiver process for B1/B2 visa renewals on April 4, 2022. B1/B2 visa applicants who meet certain criteria may be eligible to renew their visa without an interview with a consular officer. An applicant’s eligibility for interview waiver renewal will be determined during the electronic visa application process. In general, to be eligible for interview waiver processing:
- You must be renewing a B1/B2 visa issued in Ecuador that is either still current or expired within the past 48 months, and;
- You are an Ecuadorian citizen or permanent resident of Ecuador and are physically present in Ecuador, and;
- You were fingerprinted (10 prints) when your last B1/B2 visa was issued, and;
- Your previous B1/B2 visa was not lost, stolen, or revoked, and;
- Your most recent B1/B2 visa application was not refused, and;
- Other eligibility requirements may apply.
Yes I saw this a few minutes after posting my question 😂
I’m just trying to figure out if she had her fingerprints done as she doesn’t remember, but for what I read, EVERYONE who applies for a tourist visa gets it done. So she must have also!

Mother in law's tourist Visa is expiring in 4 months, her passport expires in 5 years, can she still travel to the USA even if she has 4 months before it expires? how about 3 months before it expires?
She is an Ecuadorian citizen and has been in the USA 3 times, her daughter is a US citizen.
Also, looking to renew her Visa, and I'm almost done doing her DS-160, how does the interview waver program works? is it by country? does Ecuador apply? I saw in other forums that suggest not to schedule an interview appointment in case you get an IWP letter, just a little confused. Can't I just schedule appt and they will eventually let me know if she doesn't need an interview?
thank you!

Hi, my wife who already has a permanent green card would like to have her parents come and visit us for a few weeks from Ecuador to USA. They are poor, no money in the bank, they own a car which they use to work as a taxi, and they own their house (their only child is my wife). I would like them to come as tourist in the summer.
Aside from getting their passport, can some one tip me or give me advise on what to do next?
where to go and apply for tourist visa, appointment, documents i need to fill out, doc i need to show, do i need a letter of invitation, affidavit of support (as i would be buying tickets and pay for their expenses), etc.
Also, i don't know if this helps but, my wife works and i work and own a house, i am also an U.S. Veteran.
Anything where to start from would help, thank you.

Before the new update, the search feature it was powered by google i think, and it was awesome!
I could find anything, even a simple combination of random words would find what i was looking for.
Now, with the new update, i simply type "i-751 fees, or photos, or just i-751" and it does not find anything, nothing, and i am searching in all contents.
Please fix it.

Thank you all for your response.
We will just renew the green card and leave it at that. Because of her age and half the price, renewing it seems a better option.

Hi all,
My mom has been trying to become a usa citizen 3 times already and 3 times she has failed the test. (this was 2 or 3 years ago)
Now, she is going to try again, by filling out the paper work and pay the fees etc.
My question is, her green card expired 2 years ago, will that be a problem?if it will be a problem, how can we solve it.
If it is NOT a problem, then i guess i should just carry on with filling out the form
FYI: this is her second 10 year greencard
-
Thank you all. I will include everything since the day we got married.
-
I am working in putting my package together. I was wondering if I need to send evidence of "from the date I got married" or after I got my green card (is when the 2 year consitional kicks in)
I got married December 2013 and I got my green card march 2015.

Individual accounts with each one of us being join owner of each account.
-
thank you all,
i will just print it from my account (which is the one with the most transactions) and shows her as "joint owner" on it.
-
thank you. I will just not include or mentioned those 2 evidences.
-
quick question,
I read forums where my wife name does not have to be on my house deed or car title, as long as i have a lot of other evidence that we live and have a life together, which i do.
My question is:
Do i need to explain why she is not on the house deed and car title? or should i just not include it period?
Reason why she is not on it: not enough credit on her name (would have been a bigger risk, causing our interest to go up on the house loan), and the cars, i had them before we got married. <---- please do focus on this argument, and only on my question.
thank you

HI,
i just have a simple questions,
i want to sent as evidence our bank account statement where it shows us a join account.
My question is, should i go into MY bank account and print my bank statement where it shows my account and it says "join owner: my wife who is the one with the green card"
Or, should i go into HER bank account and print her side of her bank statement where it shows her account and it says "join owner: me the petitioner"?
-
Thank you all.
Assuming we will still be married; my understanding from your answers is that the 3 year start counting from the day she got her "conditional green card) and NOT when she gets "permanent green card" ?
Thank you once again, i was just getting this question out of the way earlier.

Hi, my wife came into this country with a K1 visa, and she now has a 2 year conditional green card issued on March 2015, and it expires on March 2017 when we hope to get the permanent 5 or 10 year green card (if everything goes well).
My question is, when can she submit or apply to become a US Citizen, once she gets the permanent green card?
-
Thank you all. I am all set.

HI,
My wife came here with a K1 visa, a year and a half ago she got her 2 year green card.
I just want to be ahead of the game; but, does anyone know what process is next? maybe the website with the step by step instructions?
-
My wife and i got married in December 2014 and after filling out I-485 she finally got her 2 year green card.
We are now looking for guidence on what to do about bringing her mom into the USA, and we are not sure what are our alternatives are and process (resident, tourist visa, maybe in-law visa if there is such a thing) i am just throwing things out there.
We are planning on workiing on getting a child soon, and eventually she would like her mom to be there on the due date, maybe in a year from now, and stay here for a while to help us with our kid.
My wife is working and so am i. We also own a house and we make above the poverty line income.
Please let me know of any process, guidance, tips, what to do, and not to do, or are we too soon to ask for relatives as she just got her 2 year green card, etc.

Was that actually today, as it says the 24th of March on your signature?
I haven't check the status in a long time and today when i was working on renewing my EAD i decided to check it and i saw that, but i am guessing it was there since march 24th.

A household is a group of people who live in the same housing unit, regardless of their relationship to each other.
That means that whoever lives in that apartment\house with you regardless of their relationship to you is part of your household.
But that question is very simple and i don't even see them asking how many people live with you.
2.- is asking for yourself add 1
3.- is saying add 1 for your spouse
4.- add how many children you have
5.- i guess it ask if anyone else depends on you (they just want to see if you can afford them all) if a relative lives there and that person pays his own shared of the bills, i wouldn't count them!
