Ive observed that even though NOA1 says its from Overland Park, other letters (ex. Expedite request response, payment stuff etc...) from NBC regarding the case says Lee's Summit. I wonder if cases are really sent to and reviewed at Overland Park...?
That is correct.
After I requested expedite I was asked to send all further correspondence to the Lees Summit address.
Still have not received my NOA2 hardcopy.
Will let you know guys.
-
Congrats !
Nevertheless, the fact that you asked for an expedite (and were granted one) does not make your case a reliable benchmark for the rest of us.
It is still good to hear that Overland Park is working and not parking all the petitions form the over(theseas)land people...
To this day I still don't know if my expedite was "granted".
2.5 months for an expedite seems really long. I tend to think that my case was pretty straightforward and thus got approved quicker.
Mid-may filer approved yesterday.....
Will let you know when I get my NOA2 hardcopy.

Any news from rudyzn about his noa2?
Hey there Krispykreme (some fine doughnuts...)
Have not yet received my NOA2 hardcopy.
As soon as I get I will let you know where it came from.
I do have some (sort of) news, now my receipt number indicates:
Post Decision ActivityOn October 21, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.
So it is taking them about 5-6 days from approval to shipping the file to the NVC
WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED GUYS
-
That's awesome, Rudyzn
Did you get your NOA2 hard copy yet?
One June filer from i2u.net was also just recently approved. Supposedly her file went to Overland Park. I am not sure if it was approved there also, she hasn't gotten her NOA2 hard copy yet.
Will definitely let you know as soon as I get my NOA2 hardcopy. Just checked my mailbox, nothing yet...!

Little update here,
Post Decision ActivityOn October 21, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.
So it is taking the NBC about 5-6 days in order to ship the approved file, after approval.
For what it's worth

How do you know Division 8 is up and running?
I am assuming it is, because there have been May and June NOA1 PD files approved...
All of those (and afterwards I believe) went to Overland Park , the new facility were the also new Division 8 is going to adjudicate I-130's.
Still no official confirmation (NOA2 hardcopy for example) but we can assume this is the reason.
-
Congratulations rudyzn. Good luck for NVC. Our PD is June 7th! So happy for you.
thanks a lot!!!
Just spoke to a May filer (NBC).
Took him little over 5 months.
No expedite, no calling uscis. "Regular" treatment.
SEEMS DIVISION 8 IS FINALLY AT IT!!!
also , strangest thing:
today i log in uscis website, and my recip number indicates
On October 16, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
Yesterday, it said october 15 ....!!
NEED I WORRY?? hhahahaha crazy i tell you
-
People,
Expect a 6-7 month wait for your I-130's from NBC.
Seems DIVISION 8 is up and running.
-
Just spoke to a May filer (Raven Lotus).
Took him 5 months to get approved.
No expedite, no calling uscis.
Took my baby's I-130 little over 4 months (june filer), even if it was probably approved faster because of less background checks.
I believe approvals are on the rise, waiting times are getting ( a lot )shorter.
-
Congrats on the NOA2 rudyzn!
I eagerly await confirmation from the hard copy to see if this is really the first adjucation from Division 8 at Kansas. If it really is then this really great news and a strong sign that things may start moving.
That said the fact that you are a June filler makes me wonder why you got the NOA2, assuming your expedite didn't go through my only guess is that since you filed a I-130 for your baby, if I understand correctly, perhaps the bakground/database checks and whatnot are minimal for a beneficiary that young since I would guess there are few or non terrorist babies
still, a very interesting situation; please keep us updated and once again conngrats and best wishes!
Snipe,
Well said. I share your assumptions. I still believe this is good news (for all VJers) because of the Priority Date.
Background checks had already been carried out in 2012 for my wife (she already has her resident visa in her passport).
Evidently, a newborn child of USC who has already gone through immigration process for his spouse = pretty straightforward case.
WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED REGARDING THE NOA2 HARDCOPY.
ONE VERY ODD THING HAPPENED TODAY, WHEN I INSERT MY RECEIPT NUMBER (STILL CANT BELIEVE IT) I GET THIS:
On October 16, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
THE DATE HAS CHANGED!!!! YESTERDAY IT SAID October 15, now it indicates the 16....
#######????
Anyways... pretty crazy stuff going on. I am thrilled for everyone here, I am sure approvals are comming.
-
It's stated in his profile that he requested for expedite, it was probably granted thats why their case was approved faster.
That was one of the first things I thought of. Maybe it ended on top of some (lucky) pile or whatever...
Though I insist, I seriously doubt that our case was expedited. USCIS never even contacted me regarding our request, and other expedites have taken A LOT LESS TIME to be approved (look around VJ if you have the time).
-
many, MANY congrats Rudyzn!!! You must be over the moon with this news!!!!
I'm feeling quite disheartened however knowing that you requested an expidite so it makes me wonder what kind of wait we are in for if we did not request an expidite.
I'm really regretting my decision to not do DCF. I'm highly considering if we don't have our NOA2 by early December to cancel our application and re-apply through DCF as it looks like people are getting approved within 30 days or less:

I'm leaving the UK at the end of January and it breaks my heart to think my husband could possibly be months behind in joining me.
I requested expedite 2.5 months ago (too long ago when compared to expedites on VJ that were actually approved, I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM USCIS). Look at another post I put somewhere recently, stating the reasons why I do not believe my case was expedited.
As soon as I get my NOA2 hardcopy I will let you know if this is comming from OP, KS or from Lees Summit.
Wow congratulations!!! Very happy for u! And my PD is the same so even more excited
est of luck with everything and hoping for the best for all of us!
Samreen23, DO LET US KNOW when you hear from USCIS!!
That way we will all know if my case was expedited or not (I seriously doubt it was).
THANK YOU ALL!!! GOOD THINGS ARE COMMING FOR US ALL
-
Let us know if/when you confirm your expedite was approved
What a great note to start your day on!
BOS_LHR
Will definitely let you know as soon as I hear something. Be it NOA2 hard copy or any correspondance from USCIS.
-
This is wonderful news, congratulations!!
It sure is!!!
I sincerely feel as happy for myself as I do for all of you guys. I am pretty confident that June filers are going to get approved in the comming months.
I hope this brings hope to some of you!!!
-
Do you think it was expedited, though?
I seriously doubt that, here's why:
-Most expedites do not take this long. It has been 2.5 months since I requested it. People who request expedites usually get approved in about a month or so (I have sent PM to all people requesting expedites in previous months, and I know their "timelines")
-Even though I tried calling the USCIS many times in order to get some news, I NEVER HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM REGARDING MY EXPEDITE REQUEST, SO I DO NOT KNOW IF IT WAS APPROVED.
-The reasons for my expedite were not super urgent, life threatening, or any of the mentionned circumstances...(US Embassy in our country even told us how to manage our situation while waiting for our approval... their argument was very good, I hate to admit)
Anyways, WILL LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS I GET MY HARD COPY.
NBC is at it again I tell ya'
-

Said it many times, but this waiting is beyond RIDICULOUS
-
STILL NO NEWS REGARDING APPROVALS FROM DREADED DIVISION 8 @ OVERLAND PARK???
ANYONE??
-
A little off-topic here, but does anyone know if VJ sends some sort of "alert" (via email?) to users who seem to not be updating their timeline? Would be great to have even more accurate processing timelines.
-
I think no..someone posted in the forum of june filers..someone got approved MSC1391294173..
im happy for them but I felt dismay..how come their papers got approval first before others?
Do you know if this was an Expedite Procedure? Any special treatment?
If this is true, it is good news for us all!!
-
This is what a poster in May group posted:
Washington Post - Letter to Editor
letters@washpost.com
Fox-4 or KCTV-5 news in Kansas City
AILA; executive@aila.org and newsroom@aila.org
Did you mail them?

Someone should take a trip down to Overland Park and knock on the doors until they answer
And go all Walter White on them...!!!
June 2013 I-130 Filers (merged)
in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports

Ok people
Have not been around in a while.
Just wanted to let you know that we have an interview at US Embassy Paris on December 19th.
We are flying to the US on January 9, 2014.
It will have taken us 6 months and 9 days total, from NOA1 June 10, 2013 (and another 3-5 days to receive passport with visa), with an expedite process through NVC that went pretty smoothly (never heard of USCIS regarding our expedite request but NOA2 took 4 months and 5 days).
Best of luck to you all... I hope approvals are comming at a steady pace
