Why is this even being talked about, much less people rioting over. I thought Lebron James said black men live in fear of the police. From all the resisting arrest and assualting cops, it appears the exact opposite is true

The one thing that should be abundantly clear to anyone with eyes is that he didn't show up to kill people. Had he come to kill people he would have walked around and shot anybody in sight. However it's pretty obvious that both instances were out of fear(justified or perceived) for his well being. How anybody can say it's intentional homicide is beyond me.

Looks like Mr. Rittenhouse will have pretty decent representation.

Social security is a ponzi scheme. Making it mandatory to take money out of people's pockets and decide for them when they can get it back is a scam. The whole thing should be abolished, or at least made optional. As it stands it is worse than Madoff because at least his victims chose to be idiots.

You're under the presumption that blacks will continue bearing the brunt of this "civil war" white anarcho-communists, white neoliberals, and white neoconservatives so dearly want. How long do you estimate they'll be cannon fodder?

The encouragement of blacks to make wonderful choices like running into a car to grab a weapon (which is suicide for people of any race) is only done by people that see them as sacrificial lambs for their cause. People who actually cared about blacks would've encouraged them to make smarter and life-saving choices. Actions speak so much louder than the virtue signaling and co-opting of black identity.

This is all designed to create a world where all accountability is removed from them. The goal isn't equality; it's supremacy. They should be able to commit any crime they want, and no cop is allowed to touch them. If they do, it's the cop's fault, and they're not responsible at all. It's really kinda pathetic to watch.

Actually, based on what was posted, he did try to turn himself in, but was ignored by the police which is understandable considering the unruly mobs they were dealing with.  To me this seems cut and dry self-defense because once he took action, the mobs backed off and he did not continue to try and kill the idiots.  I would also be bad on this jury if the prosecutor was charging murder.

Some good threads detailing what happened and who these people are:

Some interesting points about this that I'm sure won't be liked by some, but the truth doesn't care about feelings or wild theories:

Rittenhouse is seen cleaning up graffiti before defending businesses and people from arson, rioting, and looting. The police know of his presence, his weapon, and approve. That mob attacks him, he runs, they throw a molotov or some other incendiary device at him and continue to chase, leading up to the first shooting. There's even evidence of someone firing a pistol at him before his first shot:

    Then the others:
Of the latest ones shot, one has a gun, the other hits him with a skateboard on the ground while they're "rushing" him.

    About the wonderful "victims":

Have fun defending this, he (Rittenhouse, the teen) may have been stupidly charged with a slew of crimes, but it's very clear right away he was acting in self defense, doubtful a single charge there (trying not to laugh at the 1st degree murder charges) results in a guilty verdict/plea, may not even make it to a trial.

Those people shot deserved it, and it's about time these violent lunatics are starting to feel force back on them for the wanton destruction they're causing and harm they're doing to others. Those defending these people.. says a lot about them.

BLM is rapidly losing its support, and its quickly affecting the Democratic Party.. condolences to those who bought into the media hype about Trump getting trainwrecked in the election. I expect we're going to see a lot more violent resistance to this domestic terrorism especially as they try and pull this stuff on the suburbs. There's only so much decent people will tolerate.

OriZ reacted to JFH in Is There Any Limit To What We'll Do To 'Stop Coronavirus'?
When did it change from “flatten the curve to prevent the hospitals being overwhelmed” to “control the virus”? We achieved the aim of preventing the hospitals collapsing under the strain of huge caseloads. I was not in favour of “lockdowns” but as the daughter of a nurse I was prepared to do my small part to ensure that the medical professionals were not over-burdened. How does Grandpa Joe think he can “control” an airborne virus?
When are they due to have an election?

I never said I was an anarchist, I said I'm a minarchist(in which one of the few roles the state does have is using the military and police to protect you). I was just saying I know Ancaps and not a single one of them is like those ancoms. I don't consider ancoms to be anarchists because it goes against everything anarchism or the NAP is about.

So they are not anarchists promoting no government, but rather radical Leftist activists promoting a major change in how we are governed.  I would put them squarely in the Marxist/Communist camp.
