How does the USPS RealMail Notification work? Do you have a PO Box?
USPS RealMail Notification is a new product provided by the USPS. You get email/digital pictures every morning of the mail you'll be receiving at your physical address later that day or during your scheduled delivery. As of now, its being piloted in the NoVa (Nothern Virginia) area and soon in NYC!

Okay July filers, its that time for ROC filing! My date opens on July 18 and I will be sending everything to CSC on July 17. Here's what I've put together, basically what my cover letter says;
- Check for US$590 (I-751 filing fee, US$505 + Biometrics fee, $85)
- Completed and signed form I-751
- Copy of the front and back of my 2 year Form I – 551 (Alien Registration card)
- Copy of our driving licenses
- Copies of our joint Federal Tax Transcripts - 2012 and 2013
- Our current health insurance screen printout and a copy of EOB; Indicating me as the plan holder and my spouse as beneficiary
- Our past (08/2012 – 08/2013) health insurance screen printout and a copy of EOB: Indicating my spouse as the plan holder and me as a beneficiary
- Copy of our dueling Joint Tenancy Deed
- Copy of our 2012 Mortgage Statement
- Copy of our 2013 Mortgage Statement
- Copies of our 2014 Mortgage Statement
- Copy of our home insurance coverage summary
- Copies of our joint auto insurance cards and notice of policy changes
- Copies of our joint checking account statement – 01/2014 – 06/2014

Decision
On October 22, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.
During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.
Go out and have a drink! Yes, you are approved.....congrats!

Questions were pretty basic and common
1)Name, DOB, Spouse name DOB
2) Where we met 1st?
3)Where we had our last vacation and what was the occasion?
4)Which all state we visited each other?
5)why we do not have any witness for our marriage?
6)then he asked about my roommate, who is planning to move out 1st?
after that he just explained her about restriction on GC and we can apply for citizenship.

Interview was a success! Approved on the spot! The IO (white male in early 50s)was over nice....below is my experience.
Got to the USCIS building at 10AM for a 10:45 appointment. There were may be 8 other people in the lobby. I was called in at 11AM. They IO was smiling and asking us how were doing as he walked us to his office. Once in his office, he asked us to remain standing and asked us to raise our right hands and take the oath. His first question was ...how are you guys doing and he went further to say how sorry he was to keep us waiting.....mind you all this time, he's smiling and laughing, just being like a sales man (for real, I am not making this up). He asked us how we met and said in VA while wife was in grad school and I was an undergrad! We get to talking about Big 10 football, hokey, softball, and his kids! I know, crazy! He then asked to see our birth and marriage certificates. We talked more about sports, our colleges, his grand kids working iPad better than him. The guy was way over friendly to the point that I told my wife on our way back home that the guy seemed like he was selling us a house.
He then said, you guys gave us enough stuff and seemed like he had approved our petition before we got there because he had already written down when I will file for removal of condition. Then he was like, I want to see you back here in three years for naturalization.
Finally, he said my card should get to me within 5 days or so.
So that was my experience.....good luck to all with upcoming interviews. Thanks my VJ family for everything!

Thanks for the support guys! It's funny HIS family was calling last night asking how it went, telling us congratulations, etc. His uncle who is much like his father now that his father passed away, has been so so supportive. He laughed when we told him our experience and said "that's their job to be mean" and he told us not to worry, we had nothing to hide. I just felt like zombies in the room. I mean how can we interact as a married couple when we cannot even as so much as look at one another. We couldn't hold hands or anything......hardly a loving couple before them. If I could at least help him, they could see how we are together. But I guess that's not the purpose. I just hope for good news soon cause this waiting is killing me..... to know our fate is in someone else's hands.
But on a positive note. Gesi said IF they deny us, we will move to Turks and Caicos! lol Now who wouldn't wanna live in a tropical paradise! lol
It was harsh...but like his uncle said, it's their job to be mean. You two did well, you'll get good news by the end of the week!

in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports

Had my interview and oath ceremony today!
Was scheduled for 8AM but got called in around 8:20AM. Very very nice lady in her mid 50s...I'd say! Swore me in, went over the application (the yes/no questions)
Six civic questiosn were;
1.How many supreme court judges?
2.Who's the 3rd inline for presidency?
3.Name one branch of govt.?
4.How many years do senators get elected?
5.What's the role of the cabinet?
6.What did declaration of indepedence do?
Reading;She had me read" When is Columbus Day?". Writing; She had me write " Columbus Day is in October"
She then explained that a judicial oath cremony would take place in 2 months or I could come back in the afternoon for an administrative oath ceremony. Chose to come back in the PM.
Interview took about 5 minutes. Ceremony lasted about 20 minutes in the afternoon(25 people were sworn to oath). After the ceremony, I went straight to the post office and aplied for a passport! Done with USCIS 4ever! Good luck to those still in the process!
