for those of you who have a Walgreens nearby, take advantage of a free collage print. this happens once in a while and it's one per account. so far i have made 5 collage prints over time for my husband to bring to the US Embassy for his interview. it is a cheap (freebie) way for compiling pictures as proof of relationship. you have the option to pick it up at your local store (saves you shipping) or for those who don't live near one, you have the option to ship it (for a fee). either way, you'd be saving around $5 for a print. this is valid through tomorrow only.
here is the link to Walgreens and the code is COLLAGEFREE http://photo2.walgreens.com/walgreens/welcome
(i'm in no way affiliated with Walgreens...just trying to help you all out )

*raising hand* guilty for posting a thread or 2 regarding the status of our petition. it was out of sheer excitement with no intention of clogging up forums or seeking attention. as a fairly new member, i thought that's how the site worked (pardon my naivety) until i started reading more forums such as this and found out how threads really came to play. but honestly, when i see someone post how they got approved, how their case closed, and got an interview, i'm genuinely excited for them coz i know each and every one of us have our own stories to tell (in our own time) about our "visajourney"...some shorter than others but a journey just as well. i'm still learning about the site everyday. i honestly couldn't get a grasp of how massive the information on this site really was until i started typing random questions into the search bar. anyway, that's just my two cents. don't hate me for it.

Don't fret, you'll be together soon. It's all part of the process. I think it's not really an "absolute truth" that K1s are processed faster than spousal visas, sometimes it's the other way around, it's a case to case basis. Plus, there are pros and cons, some of which are stated above, according to which process would work for you best.
My friend did the K1 visa because that worked for them. My husband and I could have done the K1 route, but we chose not too. Being that I am the youngest in the family and from a very traditional closely-knit family, a wedding here in the Philippines was preferred. I guess since my husband is also Filipino, he also wanted to have our wedding here and be traditional. But when we decided on that, we knew and accepted that it might take a while before we can finally be together, for good.
I have visited him a couple of times before we got married, spent 3 months with him after the wedding. But still, despite those visits, I was not that accustomed yet to the thought that I will be moving. I guess this happens when you are already in your 30s, lived your entire life in just 1 country, with your family and never really thought of living abroad as things are going great for you in your home country. Now, I am using the "waiting time" in preparing myself emotionally for the big move because I know it's going to bring such a big change. It's been almost a year since we were last together, we didn't spend our first anniversary together, this will be our 2nd Christmas apart - but we're doing just fine. He is using the time to prepare for my move, we are in constant communication not dwelling on how long we've been apart, I am using the time to take care of things here before I finally leave, prepare and research on target job applications, etc. I am spending more quality time with my mom & family, because I know I will miss them so much. Sometimes when I think about my move next year, I cry, lol! My husband completely understands though. To tell you the truth, we feel like we're almost there and it seems like time is just flying by!
Don't wait too much. You could try to focus on other things while waiting, before you know it, it's time for you to book that flight to the US!

It doesn't take that much longer, and with the spousal visa, you get a greencard upon entry, whereas with the K1 you need to file more paperwork and wait longer till you can work and travel.

Ron, the "hard" rule is that you MUST get the divorce decrees - all of them. Each and every one of them. You are required to prove that you are free to marry. Our government allows you ONE way to do that: you give them all prior marriage termination documents.
You are asking our government to grant you the privilege of bringing a foreigner here to marry you. The rules say that if you want them to consider your request, you must prove that you are free from all prior marriages - free to marry. Period. No other option. Anything you thought based on the number of lines on the form is wrong. If your attorney told you only the two most recent matter: wrong. You must get the documents, and you must do everything in your power to get them to her and to the embassy/consulate before her interview.
It does not matter how brief a marriage was, or how long ago, or how or why it was terminated: you MUST prove via a decree or certificate that it was legally ended - and ended legally. It is a) proof that you are, in fact, free to marry, and b) your fiancee MUST know about each and every one of these marriages, and how it ended, or the officer may think that your are defrauding her. Not everyone will marry someone who has been married and divorced many times - or marry someone who has had several prior wives, say, die from unknown causes. You are demonstrating the truth about your past, and proving you are free to marry the person you are bringing here to marry. The officer can and will ask her about all of your prior marriages and divorces, and the rules require you to provide proof of how they ended, and that they ended.
When you get each and every decree - and if you work it, you may be able to get them prior to her interview - everyone is right: make sure you scan and email copies to her, not just to your attorney, because if your attorney screws it up and fails to get them to the consulate or embassy in time, as least your fiance can bring them to her interview, along with the rest of the documents she is bringing, nothing out of the ordinary - and so demonstrate that she knows your history, in addition to being able to fulfill the documentation requirement. She can always explain that you misunderstood the form, if that is the case, but that everything is complete now - IF she has all the decrees with her.
Now is not the time to be confused and angry. Now is the time to say "Wow - I am lucky to find this out now, maybe in time to pull it out of the fire." Now is the time to cowboy up and get her the documents, to be the hero here, to make it happen for her. Good luck getting them!
"i can not beleive it i still had the docs." - do you mean you have found your other divorce decree?
Your original post says: "sveta has full copies of the last 2 divorces the others are in another state and sveta has visa interview in 1 week " - Have you found one missing decree, but still need to order another, for a total of 4? Are there others? Get them ALL.

    Time for a reality check.
You don't have a job. You want to bring her here. Instead of trying to find a way to support the both of you in the US, you would rather hang in the Philippines. That's not a great plan.
Be a grown up. Endure the separation like many other couples. Go get a job to support yourself and your future wife. Sacrifice a few months together to prepare for a lifetime together.

If you don't approve, why would you re-post it? Just to worry people?
How on earth would somebody be able to know that they're losing HALF of their mail? There is absolutely no way that is anywhere close to the truth - that is a made up statistic that will really worry people that have sent in original birth/marriage/police clearance certificates.
I'm sure accidents do happen at NVC and I know that you're just trying to help, but try to exercise a little common sense when throwing around rumors.

You say the child would have a horrible life....
You are not thinking about the child....you are only thinking about the easiest way out for you.
Have you thought about what a "horrible death" it would be???
This child is nearly old enough now to live on it's own, but you would consider stopping this child's beating heart....
my mind is spinning thinking about how inhumane this is...
