Gail83 got a reaction from Nich-Nick in so confused with name change
Don't worry about the passport. I got married and changed my name to my husbands name. I filed the AOS with my new name also. My passport is still in my maiden name and when I went for my biometrics appointment I just made sure I took my marriage certificate along with my passport to show proof of name change. Hope this helps.

It's included in the AOS guides. The form is simple - read the instructions.

Gail83 got a reaction from Hypnos in what and where exactly is this I-94?
When you enter on a K1 you have 90 days to get married and that's why the I-94 expires 90 days from the date of entry. You can still file for AOS if it has expired, there are people on here who have waited much longer. A lot of people aim to apply for AOS before the I-94 expires but this is not always possible for everyone.

Gail83 got a reaction from codie in medical again in USA due to incomplete vaccination record ?
Really sorry to hear you're having such a hard time with the civil surgeon. I had to have my MMR done over here as although I had it years ago in the UK they couldn't find it in my medical records!! I had to call around lots of civil surgeons before I found one who would just give me the MMR and complete the vaccine record without a full medical. One civil surgeon I called even accused me of asking them to do something illegal, as according to them filling out the vaccine record without having a full medical would be breaking the law!!!!

Gail83 got a reaction from Arinlars in Refused for name change on SSC
When we applied for my SSN it was in my maiden name, we asked what we would need to change the name and they told us a marriage certificate wasn't enough and to come back with EAD in married name to have it changed. As my SSN is based on K1 it has to match that until I have EAD, that's what we were told.

Gail83 got a reaction from leevee in London Medical - Knightsbridge Doctors
Hi guys, I know it's been discussed before but I just wanted to share my experience. I had my medical on 5thFebruary, I was pretty nervous as I have a history of depression. Thanks to all the information on here I knew to take a letter with me from my GP. It all went well, the doctor asked a few questions and then said it wouldn't be a problem. She said that what they're really concerned about is whether or not you're considered to be a danger to yourself or anyone else and as my GP had stated in the letter that I wasn't that was good enough for her. I'm just posting this so that it may give hope to others as I know some of the previous posts regarding this issue are a bit older and just wanted to add something recent. Hope this helps.
