I am glad my wife has a visa and her "green card"--therefore she will never be labeled as "Legally-Challenged person of an Alternative Nationality."

I bought three Dell computers from their outlet pages on their website. The outlet computers come with full warranties and are a lot cheaper then the new ones. I have not had any problems with any of my systems. Two of the systems came with free 3 year warranty and one with a 1 year warranty. Its already been over 1 year and still nothing has gone wrong.

PS: I want an Apple system. jeje.

Used them both and Apples are nicer but still more expensive.

Don't worry, the old man in the glasses is not that bad--just laugh at his jokes. Its sarcasm--just force yourself. Anyway as far as the medical you will be told where to go and they basically check for infectious diseases: i.e. HIV, TB, etc.

I see you were all upset with the Embassy--understandable I went through the same deal in August--but afterwards I posted a Finally got the Visa thread. So let's hear it! You updated your time line! So congrats on the Visa being approved!

I am confused? Did she drop it off to be mailed to the embassy at DHL or the DHL office in the embassy?

Lu said it was in a really nice part of town that she wishes I would have gotten to see, so I guess it must not have been in the embassy.

I didn't see an office when I was in there either.

The DHL office in San Isidro--that's the nice part of town. And ditto I don't remember a DHL office at the embassy.

I will pack a can of whipass for this guy at the Embassy in my carryon if I can get it past TSA flunkies--considering Federal Agents recently passed through 21 times with real bombs pretty much I think I get a can or two of Whipass--or cheezewhiz and whipcream and sack of tomatoes! Hey my wife is preggers and traveling with me! But yeah it will come--don't let any Government Worker get you down.

Look I know you are disappointed--but really this is pretty positive in fact. Because you were not denied--he just wants an extra certificate. He took your Novia's finger prints and has requested her passport with the extra certificate--which means he intends to stamp her passport with the K-1 visa once he receives the certificate and passport. (My wife and I had a very similiar situation with this very same guy. We recieved a yellow paper and had to get another extra certificate and we sent it in with her passport and What do you know we had the Visa--but a short delay. Yeah he comes across as a bit of a #######--his brand of sarcastic humor mostly--but its not that bad really--he is a typical American).

But just be positive! She will have the visa very soon and be able to come and be with you soon! Take care!

How Unique Am I in my resistance to conform to latest technology and modern amenities?

I do not own a Cell Phone.

I do not have cable TV, but use a thing called an Antenna to receive free TV channels.

I have a push mower instead of a riding lawn mower or lawn tractor.

I have a microwave oven but its used to make popcorn only.

I do not have garbage service--instead I tote my trash to the dump or to my Sister's house.

I still have a walkman and discman players---no IPODs or MP3 what-have-yous.

My TV is only 32 inches and is a standard CRT type tube.

No icemaker in my frig.

I do have DSL service, but I dummied it down to the cheapest and slowest DSL you can buy.

My answering machine uses the default recording that came with the phone.

I still have a plain old "stereo" and have resisted getting a Dolby 5 point whatever or so surround system.

I do not own any mechanical massage devices.

Fung Shui might as well be the Combo Number 3 at the Peking Cafe, cause I not implemented nor attempted to adhere or learn anything about its principles or discipline.

I have basic shower heads that came with the shower/tubs, no special massage or water jets.

Though I enjoy my DVD player daily--I watch movies on VHS once a month.

Anyway who else has resisted new "improvements" in technology?

Anyway the Wife and I, and baby (inside mom) are going to Peru this Wednesday! I will return after a week and the wife will come back after two more weeks. This is the best time to travel there--its Summer/Autumn there and Spring/Summer here! Man if I had the money I would just go back and forth between the Two Summers!

During my first marriage where I filed a K1 for my ex-wife I was a full time student on GI Bill. I did not list the GI Bill as income at all--as it is not income. Its money for college. I did use my parents income (Joint Sponsors) and my savings on Affidavit of Support.

Dean, I'd more than once read that the majority of Mexicans and Central Americans are "mestizos" (part Spanish, part Native "Indian"), essentially the same as the Metis (part French part "Indian") of Canada (and some parts of Northern US); indeed the only Latin American country with an "Indian" majority is Peru.

For the record: Bolivia has a larger majority of "Indian" or Native Americans than does Peru--and being also a Latin American country. Bolivia just recently elected the first Non-European descended President--a pure "Indian" or Native American in Latin America. But what is pure or really native? I mean years ago many chinese immigrants moved to Peru, there were african slaves in south america as well--and its believed in theory at least that Asians originally settled the Americas well before the Europeans.
