Just an update .. I Applied for the amended social security card and got it without any issues. so it proved that there were no denials  after the Naturalization certificate was issue. The email which i received was just a hoax. 

Thanks Gnakr for all the clarifications!  your response is very comforting. Soon I will be going to change my status at Social security services and see how it goes.
