Если хочешь проверить русская я или нет, попроси свою жену позвонить мне. Только на скайп, потому что на мобиле денег нету, муж не заплатил. Достало если честно, 2 года терпела одного, пошла спросить как сделать документы, теперь опять виновата.
If so smart call me on skype (ask for name in message).
Honestly just ridiculous how people like to be mean. If you don't believe it why are you reading and answering?

Hi, just a quick update. So as you might remember I came to the US in January 2010 on K1 visa. I've lived here for 4,5 years. I'm still in process of my AOS, waiting for interview for my green card. They took my fingerprints in October 2013. I received my SSN a few months ago along with my work permit. I don't work though due to some reasons like lack of day care for my son who is no longer eligible for free medical daycare. He is healthy now, doctors removed his feeding tube a month ago. I'm very glad. So here are the news. Hope all of you are well and good luck with everything.
Oh, forgot to say I got my drivers license on April 21. Yey! Don't have a car though but looking forward to new life with bigger opportunities.

    Hi, all!
    I do have good news.
I just heard from my immigration attorney, my VAWA petition was approved!!!!
What to say, it's nearly the happiest day in my life! I'm just so excited to start new life feeling myself like a person, not a prisoner locked up in bad circumstances.
As for my child support case they just started enforcing the money, but for some reason I'm getting only child support or spousal support each month and never both, they say it will take time to get it work properly, this process depends on his employer and other factors. However, I'm happy to know that soon I can get a work permit. I'm not quite sure whether I have to stop going to school (I'm taking ESL classes now) and find a job immediately or not.
But I am in a big need of car. I really need to get a driver's license. Because the transportation system here is very bad, and my son's school is not on a way to anything, it takes me about 6 hours a day to get around (to his school - to my school - to animal shelter where I volunteer - to his school again - home). And he keeps getting sick from all those germs. This is probably the biggest challenge for me right now. But at least one of the banks finally let me to open an account. It's just a debit card but it helps me pay some of the bills so I don't have to physically go places to do it. With this card my life became so much easier, that's for sure!
So life is getting better and better and I'm glad that one day I decided to make a difference and many of you supported. Thank you.
It's interesting that from the time they received it and to the time they approved has been only 10 months. Just a miracle! Or maybe it's not only luck but a result of constant work and not giving up. I'm grateful for that chance to have same rights as every other person and I hope many of those who suffered in a past can get hope and opportunity to move on and just be free.

Oh actually many people find it interesting, because when I came here I didn't speak at all. I mean AT ALL, I couldn't understand what people saying either. But I was young enough I guess, so it wasn't too hard for me to learn words from TV and use limited amount of words to explain almost everything with this limit. I also didn't have anybody to speak Russian to, so I had to learn or noone would understand me. I also had to go to hospital almost everyday talking to doctors (my son was born with the heart defect and he was in NICU for long time, and they didn't always have interpreter for me so... had to be strong and get into it). I also have a college degree so I use to learn new difficult things.. Well I don't know, I was just living here and learning from people. Thank you for your kind words and for helping.

I'm sure you would believe his side because that is what is going on right now. But actually his side is heard and mine is silent. That's why I'm still here with no papers.

AstaMarisa reacted to pushbrk in Citizenship 3 year rule when does it start for a K1
3 is incorrectly stated. When LPR status is granted based on marriage to a US Citizen, (You could be married any length of time when residence status is granted.) the soonest an LPR is eligible to Naturalize is three years from the issue date on the first green card.
That is one of several conditions. For example, if you at any time leave the USA for more than six months (with a few exceptions) your three or five year clock starts over. You must also have 1095 days in the USA, so every day you're outside the USA counts against the three years.

Everything is based on the "resident since" date on your GC. And you're not a resident until the GC is approved. I've been here since Sept 2009, married Nov 2009, and filed AOS in April 2010. My "resident since" date is July 2010. So everything I do is based on that July 2010 date.

I found this thread by accident... and I could not stop reading it. What a story! You might want to consider writing a book based on what happened to you.
I wish you a very happy life, and I wish your son gains good health.

are you even reading? When did I say I was 24 weeks? I was 38 weeks and I had to tell that I was 24 so they would let me go.
It's not an excuse, it is just something that I already said before. Read before blaming me for lying. If you don't wanna help, don't help. I
'm tired of explaining everybody why it was this way and how this happened especially to ppl who don't want to read what I'm saying.
P.S. I personally think that my situation got so bad so nobody believe me because nobody had this in their lives. But it's not why I'm here. Those who believe will give me advice and I still have a lot of questions. I don't want anybody to feel like I'm just trolling here that's why I'm answering all questions. Well most of them. I would answer more if I had time. Sitting here with 2yo and he needs attention too.
