We just rcvd our NOA2 Today. Our NOA1 is May 15, 2012. To be honest...the last I heard, Vermont SC has been getting help so this could have caused cases to get out of order, unfortunately! JE has ppl around her that have the same NOA1 date and they have been approved. We have ppl around us that rcvd their NOA1 May 15 that rcvd their NOA2 on the 6th of November. Something is DEFINITELY NOT RIGHT! If there have not been 'any' updated on your date - try to call the USCIS to inquire why ppl are being approved all around you - including ppl that were received 'after' you and see if they can provide you an answer as to why or even better...a resolution! PS: It seems the 1-800 customer svs line does not offer the best assistance...see if you can get in to your local office to inquire in person. Good Luck!

My fiancé and I discussed everything about religion even though neither of us are religious. He was raised to be muslim and I was raised to be catholic.. we both believe in "a god" but we practice nothing. If you are having this much trouble now- I would accept her divorce and move on. What will happen when children come into the picture?? Something to think about NOW instead of when it's too late....

It is very frustrating to learn that it took someone only 5 months to get approved without sending any evidence and after 9 months of waiting I was denied for lack of evidence . without any notice what so ever to send more. Now I had to file another form to reopen the case and send all evidence. And probably have to wait another 5 or 6 months. Very unfair how they accept some papers and not others. These forms are not the cheapest. I know it will be all worth it in the end because I love my Fiancee very much, but it's just very unfair. Just wanted to vent

JE06: Yeah, I was so excited to hear this information from my attorney's office! Especially after not being able to get any straight answers from the USCIS directly. I thought the fact that the VSC has reached out for assistance - would help brighten someone else's day, too.
I look forward to the update from you that your case has been 'touched' AND COMPLETED!!
This long wait time is definitely torture! It's been so much more difficult since we met in person, actually! Everything has strengthened on so many levels after our experience of life outside of our 'electronic' bond!
***Can anyone add any feedback of the process after the USCIS? How can you track your case after it leaves to the Visa processing center? I know that he will have to complete the medical screening and interview & I believe the timeline for this is about 2-3, right? Does everything move smoother after the long USCIS wait time?

I don't mean to pry into your family business nor do I intend any negative accusation upon your cousin . But my question to would be why would anyone want to stay in a country that there significant other is not an origin of? Why would he want to stay in the USA still even when his fiance does not want to marry him?....additionally have you spoke to and consulted with your cousin why after this long period of nearly a year they started treating him badly upon his arrival?..... seems a little fishy to me.... but then again I dont know the full scope of the situation. Majority of the individuals whom go through the k1 process have the ability to back out of a promise at anytime... but waiting for him to arrive and then treating him badly I don't know if that would be common practice or anything a intelegent individual would do. Also the dawry is given at the time of the wedding when the nikkah nama is signed...its your own cousins foolish mistake to give money to the family in advance. Furthermore most families in USA tend to make more money then people in Pakistan... and if your cousin was in a position to give money to them he must come from a wealthy family so why is he stressing about reclaiming dowry money?Also is it not that dowry money is for the girl anyways? thats if things don't work out and it seems they are not working out.... your cousin should have considered that an investment expense not just an asset to recover when and if needed. Once again I mean no pun or ill will... speak with your cousin see if its something he has initiated and try your level best to reconcile the differences.. many times issues like these arrise from a miss understanding created by the involvement of the family.Speak to the girl and ask her if this is what she wants and same with your cousin. you are trying to do something that has ZERO chance at success. stop and listen to the advise you are getting. you do not have good enough reasons to get past the meeting within 2 yrs requirement. Also it doesnt matter about nice college or how expensive it is that means more expenses. There is no immediate good news here. First try and meet again then proceed.

Over the last month I only logged into VJ to check Vermont approvals and stayed away from the forums because all the sub-100 day CSC approvals were seriously pissing me off. I knew if I opened a short approval I wouldn't be able to contain some nastiness in my tone so I just tried to stay away.

I actually thought...NO WAYYYY 40 days????????????? I see your point and I see theirs... When they post their 70 day approvals, it just makes me more upset at USCIS, not the poster. IT PLAIN HURTS.

I am right there with you and couldn't have said it better myself. You took the words right out of my mouth! I will forever be angry about the time we have lost. I am 31 years old and have waited my whole life to meet this man. We want a life together and a family. I will not have children after 35 years old as you greatly increase your chance of complications. After 35 a pregnancy is considered a geriatric pregnancy. Certainly, we will want to wait till he has found a decent job before we start trying as well and in this horrid economy who knows when that will be. All this wasted time makes me feel incredibly angry, when we should be beginning our lives together. Instead we're caught up in all of this red tape and the dream act. Yes, I'm not afraid to say Obama will NOT be getting MY vote. I didn't vote for him the first time and I won't be voting for him this time. I feel completely let down by my government at the moment.
However, like you I still believe America is the greatest country on Earth. If I didn't we'd have gone the other way around and be headed to the UK. Still, I'm angry. I'm bitter. I want my fiance here with me. I'm f(@*#*& heartbroken.
