I'm a little confused on how this is supposed to be helpful to OP or how it is relevant?

I don't know why you are coaching them on this. They should put whatever is the honest truth about their relationship, not what is most likely to have it accepted by the CO. The chance of legitimacy are already not high and it could border on instructing them on how to commit fraud.

This might have not occurred to you, but some people want to work right away because they enjoy the socialization or contributing financially.  
 
I think it is also a reflection of the sad state of America's finances that often times a household really needs two working members to function well.  You and I might be blessed that we live in a family that can subsist with one income, but others aren't so lucky.  
 
 

Plumber's been. On walking up to the side of the house, he said he could hear a leak. Hear it. He must have the hearing of a bat, I suppose after 40 years in the business he would do. I couldn't hear it looking at it.  He found a little burst pipe, just inside the crawlspace.
The hot water heater is fine, and so is the element. The leak was draining away enough that the water heater couldn't catch up.
 
He also put the tub faucet back on. When I spoke to him earlier in the week, he said to let all the taps continue to drip, including in the bath. I only use the shower over the bath, and so that is where the diverter on the faucet was set. It wouldn't budge, so I gave it a good sharp smack, and it came off in my hand. Oops.  All up, $164.00. I was shocked, thinking it would be well more than that.  Himself apparently did a good enough job of insulating the pipes, as far as he went. There is a stretch he couldn't get to that has none, so I will look after that myself in better weather.

This kid who was an absolute jerk to me in high school and thought he was better than everyone else.... also became a paramedic (funny that), then got into drugs, became one of Colorado's most arrested people, abused his wife, got another chance and had his license reinstated, only to bonk it all up again.... is still a jerk, but at least everyone sees it now.

Quite frankly.....when my better half goes camping with my father and sister in June.....the first thing I'm going to do is unwrap that golden package and partake until I vomit.....goals....I have GOALS! 😉
 

I picked it up again a few months back after 15 years of not smoking.  I only do it at work and only with certain partners.  It seems to help relieve some of the stress.

Winter has finally come in up here after a ridiculously warm winter. Temps in the 30s? Unheard of.  Low of -22°F, that is more like it.

Yes the business was sold with some longer term stipulations. 
I did ok. Enough to retire.
But I'm kinda bored.

I've spent the past week watching Korean TV shows set in the Joseon period.  I'm there for the hats and maybe a drinking game based on the number of times someone screams "your highness" while running up to the royal chambers.
