You will receive your case number after USCIS approves your I-129F (NOA2) and forwards it to NVC. NVC will provide you a case number so you can proceed next steps including filling DS160, creating ustraveldocs account... Good luck.

I'm sorry for your loss. I've dealt with Emergency AP before. You need death certificate and translate it if it is not in English (nvm you are from UK)

You can try walk in tomorrow for fingerprint appointment then you can go to your local immigation office with your current infopass appointment and explain your situation. They will let you in because it is a funeral matter.

Remember to fill out new I-131 form to show local officer. You need a passport photo, your I-485 receipt, and your passport of course. If they approve your emergency AP, they will print out a paper for you to travel. Good luck.

There are so many people misunderstand I-864a form. I-864a is like a consent to allow people on same tax return (spouse, partners) to use mutual fund to support immigrant. So unless you file tax return with your mom (I don't think so) then you file I-864 as main sponsor, she files another I-864 as joint sponsor.

Unfortunately, USCIS doesn't care about employer's opinions. They make decision based on your working status, which will be ending soon.

USCIS won't accept foreign bank info either.

You can't use your income towards I-864 because they need to make sure your income will continue from same source after your GC is approved, which your income doesn't satisfy. Your income will end as soon as your OPT ends.

You need to find a joint sponsor or use asset to fulfill difference of ~2500 (family of 2 needs income of 20250 by the way. So asset has to be 3 times of difference which is about $8000, a bank balance will help.)

Thing is that you are obligated to "Affidavit of Support" until she reaches 40 qualifying quarters of work or she becomes US citizen or she is not LPR anymore.
She is LPR until she legally surrender her GC or USCIS decides she is no more LPR.
In my opinion, you guys are in good term so you don't have to worry much about it. To be rest assured, you can convince her to come to US embassy or consulate in Thailand to legally surrender her GC.

She wants GC or not, it is her responsibility to notify them. You are not her to call and tell USCIS that "I don't want my green card anymore."
Just finalize your divorce and you are good to go.

Why not? You can type a note in English for him to take to interview like below:
    Filed on xx/xx/xxxx
    Approved on yy/yy/yyyy
Waiting time for approval: y-x = z years and months
Nephew age after deducting z is way less than 21 ones so CSPA is applicable to my nephew.
Don't worry to much for now, they are usually carelessly assuming "aged out" if child is too old, like 25 26. But if he is 22, 23 and approval waiting time is long , it is easy for them to figure out CSPA applicable or not.

How you got that money is not important anymore, you admitted illegal working and they put it on your name. So you should arrange visit your kids in South America countries or Mexico to save time and money for everyone.

I would be careful using the on campus income for your I-864 since that job is not a "full time" nor "stable" job. You only have a contract for a specific amount of time. My husband is the USC and working as an RA on campus and met the income above poverty line but we still were advised to get a joint sponsor. I didn't even consider using my income (as RA and TA at the university) on the I-864 since the employment has to continue after you receive the green card.....which in the case of an RA or TA on campus is not true, since it is not long-term.
I suggest getting a joint sponsor.

It can take up to a month to get the extension letter and I don't know of any way to expedite the process. I would consider it a problem it you don't receive it in, say, 60 days.

That's why you need to read disclaimer carefully and thoroughly. Scam is to get your money without doing anything, they really do what you need. They fill every applications based on your input information and mail them to you, you sign and mail to USCIS using their prepaid label and everything. And they charge $199.
If it is scam, I don't think they will survive and expand. us-immigration.com is an example. They have been around forever legitimately.
