I know this is crazy but... not everything is Trumps fault. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You just started this process hang on for a bumpy ride.

got our visa in 2015 a year before Trump
 
(and i am not a fan of his either) but Nebraska had our CR1 10 months and then transfered it to Missouri for faster processing (another 5 months)
and to NVC where i paid fees within a week of getting the notice and  all the documents within the month and it took over 8 months for NVC to process
so,  who do i blame?  this is life and sometimes things happen fast and sometimes slow/ its just life 

Embassy workers are not USCIS.

It appears you have been in the process for only 4 months........ The fun has just begun....

i dont think Trump processes USCIS petitions. They are handled by employees at USCIS/DOS

Even with an expedited interview, it would never be that fast.

You can certainly apply.......but it sounds like you need immediate help.......which an expedited case will not provide.  Good luck.

No, I don't "get that feeling".  Everything is ALWAYS Trump's fault??.......For your information, the world is in the midst of a PANDEMIC...which originated outside the US!!!!!    

Does anyone else get the feeling that Trump secretly stopped all immigration until the election was over? These processing times and quite frankly the embassies blatant disregard for people’s time just doesn’t add up to me. People are working at these embassies but are literally doing nothing. I don’t know...just seems like something he would do. Maybe I’m reaching, but we all know how he feels about immigration. 

Don't be impatient.....I am writing this not leaning towards any candidate. I am just providing information that is factual. I am also not a political scholar but some of this is basic knowledge if you paid attention in American Civics classes.   I am posting this because many people here on VisaJourney are from other countries and may not be familiar with our Presidential Election Process. First we do not elect a President based on the popular vote of the entire USA, we base it on the popular vote of each state. Its important to note the electoral college is not a place but a process.   After the November election each states governor submits a Certificate of Ascertainment to Congress and the National Archives, listing the names of the electors for each party, the total votes received by those parties, and the names of those who have been appointed to serve as state electors. On the first Monday following the second Wednesday in December, those electors meet to cast their ballots. On January 6th of the year following the election, a joint session of Congress is convened to tally and certify the electoral votes. If at that time a presidential candidate has received 270 or more electoral votes the sitting Vice President (in this case VP Mike Pence) then declares that person to be the President-Elect and not before.   The media doesn't elect our President, the Electoral College does. So, none of the News media outlets make the official call and never have.   Election results are finalized through two processes: canvassing and certification. The certification deadline in six states is within one week of the election. In 26 states and the District of Columbia, the certification deadline is between Nov. 10 and Nov. 30. In 14 states, the certification deadline is in mid December. Four states (Hawaii, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Tennessee) do not have statutory deadlines for results certification. Second since all state laws differ, they have the following things that need to happen when the vote is from .5% to 1% margin between the candidates: Some state do an automatic recount like Georgia is doing, it automatically kicks in without anybody requesting a recount. Some states you must request a recount when the margin is that slim. Other states where the margin is not that slim like in Michigan where its over 100,000 votes you have to prove your case in court which is what the Trump campaign is doing. So some of you have asked where is the fraud? I will give you one example of many:  In one Michigan county due to a software glitch 6000 Trump votes were switched to Biden. Now with 47 other counties in Michigan using the same software "Dominion Voting" how do we know other votes were not switched? On top of that this software in particular is used in the states the Trump campaign is contesting. North Carolina, Nevada, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Georgia, too much coincidence? maybe.   Votes are still being counted and I hope this helped.   So those are the facts and you can continue to refuse to believe them but when it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it’s a duck.
