Don't worry about the estimated timeline that they show online as it is based off at least 5 year rule unless you fall under that category. Some cases might move fast based on their eligibility.

That's awesome! Hope it's soon. Seems like a lot of people are pleasantly surprised at the processing times. Very few seem to actually end up waiting longer than normal.

After filing AR11 I just the confirmation email that my address change was requested through AR11. Once I contacted USCIS through 'inbox' new address was updated for my N400 application and same was updated under 'N400 contact information'.

Recently I got a message in my 'inbox' that my case was added to the local field office (SF) system to schedule for an interview 😱 depending on how fast slot becomes available my interview will be scheduled 🙏

A late update...Our interview was held last week and the case was approved. Oath was held the same day. There was a long line extending out to the street so it took an hour and half (1 hr past the scheduled interview time) just to get to the waiting room.
Interview experience: Interview was way more detailed (wrong kind of details) than it needed to be for a citizenship interview. The interviewer seemed like he was taking a green card interview instead of a citizenship interview. He asked question like how did your spouse entered the US, where does he work, what company does he work for and so on. Questions he should have been asking like why do want to become a US citizen were not asked. At the end of it, he told me to go and wait outside for "scheduling" an oath date and place...When I got outside, they said to wait and the oath ceremony would be held at 2 PM same place...so i guess he did not know what the updated process was after the interview... I dont know if he was not used to taking citizenship interviews or what but the whole interview seemed like i was taking an green card interview all over again.

Anyway, the journey has ended. Good luck to everyone!

If you have an account online, you can view ALL correspondence. No need to worry about missing anything. Just be sure to submit your change of address as soon as you move. Also, you can change your address with the post office. Just go to the post office and let them know you wish to forward all mail to your new address and they can forward it for up to a year, I believe.

It's only been one month. I waited 3 months before they asked for my biometrics...which is perfectly normal, apparently.

You don't need to worry. Just wait a couple of months and I'm sure they'll get around to requesting your biometrics. Hoping that that appointment comes soon for you!

Yeah, not a super busy place. Our field office used to be Jacksonville, which was a lot busier. I'm grateful our zip code was switched to the Montgomery one because it's a slightly shorter distance and it's less crowded. There were about 10 or so people in his oath ceremony group.

Looking at Q2 N-400 end of quarter stats (Jan 1, 2021 - Mar 31, 2021), that's about what was expected. They didn't have many applications at the beginning of the year. The Q3 stats should come out sometime this week or next, hopefully.

This really was the easiest part of the process.

Interview appointment was Sept. 3, 2021. This office is almost 4 hours away, and we made it pretty much exactly at the 15 minutes before interview time that they allow people to enter the building. A guard was walking around outside and asked if we had an appointment, while my husband was trying to get the dog hair and lint off his shirt. I said yes, and the guard asked what time, and then said to go on in and started to walk off. He turned back quickly and added, "Just the one with the appointment." My husband went in and returned about 15 minutes later. He was asked for interview letter and ID to enter. They were not busy, and he was called for his interview pretty much right away.

They looked at his passport and green card and that was it. They asked for no other documentation. I would still bring it, just in case like we did.

He was given an English test, which was to read, "Who lives in the White House?" He was then asked to write the answer, "The president lives in the White House."

He was asked these civics questions:
    "What does the Constitution do?"
"What did Susan B. Anthony do?"
"Name a state that borders Canada."
"What are 3 of the original 13 states?"
"What are the two main political parties in the United States?"
"How many justices are on the Supreme Court now?"

The interviewer asked him the yes or no questions from the N400, and that was it. He said that he was putting in for his approval, and he would be getting an Oath Ceremony letter in the mail soon. He also falsely told him he would not have to make the long drive back to that office, but could have his Oath locally. I told my husband that sounds nice, but I know it is incorrect and we will be coming back.

We got notice of his Oath Ceremony not long after. It was for Sept. 18th, at the Montgomery, AL field office, just like I knew it would be. We again made it right at the 15 minutes ahead of time, and watched a woman getting her photo taken outside the building after getting her certificate. They had them in chairs spread out from each other, and the man doing the Oath Ceremony was at the front of the room behind a shield. They gave them an envelope with their naturalization certificate, pamphlet and flag before the ceremony began. The family members lined up at the window to see the best we could, wondering why we couldn't just be allowed in with our spouses. We were able to get a short video through the glass. Not great, but better than the nothing at all I thought we would be able to get. They didn't have them repeat all of the Oath because of covid. They didn't want them all talking and spreading germs through the room. Odd cause they all had on masks and were distanced. He had them all raise their hands and read the oath and had them all simply answer, "Yes, I do/will." to agree with the oath statement. That was it. They came outside and we were all taking pictures of and with our loved ones in front of the USCIS building. They rain was not making that easy, but we managed.

Almost 11 years to the day of getting his K-1 visa approval. That happened on Sept. 21, 2010. It feels good not to worry about immigration factors any longer. Now to get his US passport. Oh yeah, the guy doing the ceremony told them to do their social security first. Weird ,as the people here on the forum know, do the passport first.

    Citizenship granted!

Had my citizenship interview this morning at 7.30am at the Denver field office with a lovely lady who made it a very easy experience. I was asked six “history” questions and got them right so that ended there, read and wrote a sentence in English, then verified my application details on address, marriage date, phone number etc and answered all the standard questions on whether I’d been convicted of crimes, belonged to communist party etc.

She did the oath “ceremony” right there in her office and had the certificate printed- DONE!! It is such a relief to be finished with paperwork!! Best of luck to everyone on their way!

    Oath ceremony scheduled for 7/29.

Can fully vaccinated oath-takers (defined as >14 days after Pfizer, Moderna second dose) take oath if they returned from overseas flight within 10 days of oath?  It's confusing - seems that fully vaccinated are exempt from requirements but want to be sure.  Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to all recently naturalized citizens!

When did you apply? Mine did go down one month as well. It looks like its automated. When a month wound up, then everyones' numbers go down by 1, since a month passed.

Don't look at the at the estimated time, I had my interview yesterday and it showed 6 months, then in the waiting room after I was approved and was waiting for my oath, I got an update that my case moved from we scheduled your interview to we recommended that your case be approved, and then my estimated time moved from 6 to 8 month, so don't put to much weight on that estimated time, good luck to you

Went to interview on May 26th 2021 - got denied , appealed the denial with N-336 in July, got an notification update last Monday that they recommended my N-400 for approval now and I am in line for oath ceremony (oath ceremony scheduled) status since Aug 9th. Can I know how long it takes for them to send the oath ceremony notice? My field office generally  do oath at the same day of interview for successful candidates, so hoping it should not be a long wait for them to send oath ceremony notice. Thank you.

Oh God! What a beautiful day! I even don't know where do I start lol
I was scheduled for my interview at 830, so came in at 815, at 825 was called by the officer, the officer was extremely nice, asked me 6 questions, then asked me to read "where is the white house" and to write the white house is in Washington DC. Then went over my n400, at 835 he told me congratulations, please wait in the waiting room, at 9 exactly my name was called by another officer who was holding my naturalization certificate in his hand, so he took me into a room and read the oath, I repeated after him the full oath, then he gave me my certificate, said congratulations and took me outside, I left the building at 9 10, then I ran to DMV and upgraded my real ID driver's license to enhanced driver's license for US citizens only (I maid an appointment for it online a week ago) then I ran to the passport agency and apply for a first time passport, it will be ready in 15 minutes, (made an appointment by phone by waiting over 3 hours on the line 2 weeks ago)
So this is pretty much it
Guys! I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that all of you will get your certificates soon! I wish luck to each of you! Please text me or call me at any time if you have any questions, I'm always here to help as much as I can!!!

Just an update- I filed for N400 on June 6, had biometrics already on file applied, got notified August 9 that my interview will be on Sept 18.

That happened quicker than I thought it would! And of course happens to be right in the middle of when we are going to be between apartments so we’re planning on a trip to fill the few weeks gap…but better sooner than later!
