I worked with people with cerebral palsy I'm not sure if that is the condition the reporter had but that is besides the point.
It does not matter his occupation I found it disgusting but to each his own.

Agree about Hillary but Trump will have tens of thousands of our servicemen in Korea, Japan and Guam killed if he doesn't stop feeding the flames with this one.

Does anyone know how the passport can be tracked? We filled out the Air21 form, but no tracking number provided. I looked online but the embassy page has a broken link to tracking info, and still talks about 2go as the courier.

They wrote me back, and are asking for pictures. Have tons of them, and will bring them, but it still seems as if these instructions are being given by someone who is failing to notice that we sent in copies of both of our US passports. It's as if they're looking at the instructions where there is a foreign spouse in the mix.

Yep, it's bonkers. I guess I'll bring our wedding pictures and pictures of us with our 8 year old son, along with his U.S. passport, my wife's naturalization certificate, and copies of the NOA for her greencard from way back when. Whole think makes zero sense - without having a relationship with her prior to our new baby's birth, how do they suppose I managed to petition her and bring her to the U.S. as my spouse back in 2011?

The TARDIS isn't very good at making those sort of short hops. Also, I wouldn't want to risk unraveling the causal nexus. Nevertheless, perhaps my post will serve as a warning to some permanent residents of the future who may have been putting off applying for U.S. citizenship. But what would I know? I'm just a humble curator.

You were eligible to file for citizenship way back in 2007. Doing so would have avoided all of this.

You see, you can insult people on Visa Journey. You just have to follow these simple rules.
    1. You need to include your enemy in a group and insult that group, not the person specifically. So instead of saying "You are hysterical" you can say something like "more proof that liberals are hysterical." Here is an example in practice: "no wonder the libs on here have such a hard time accepting reality." http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618283-colin-kaepernick-praises-cuban-dictator-fidel-castro/?p=8397226 Brilliant, isn't it!?!
    2. You need to invent a new name for your enemy. Current examples include Snowflake http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/602548-learning-to-live-with-islamic-terrorism-in-france-and-beyond/?p=8226156 or Loony left: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397247 Past examples include a combination of liberal and retarded, but that has now been censored. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/447442-**-an-acceptable-insult/
    3. Best yet, you need to give your new insult an acronym to obfuscate. Past examples include "Muddy Ditch Left" or MDLs, seen here. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397511 An older one was Right Wing Nut Job, or RWNJ. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/431874-breaking-soldier-dead-in-the-uk-after-islamist-terrorist-attack/?p=6245386 There is also a new acronym insult, called "BHL" or "Butt hurt liberals," seen here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/618353-not-even-president-yet/?p=8397580 You are then free to use these insults personally, but since they are group nouns, no one is the wiser.

3 day visit + age gap + high fraud country = very slim chances of approval. I would also question the wisdom of marrying someone you've spent a total of ~72 hours with. Regardless of anything else, such marriages rarely work out.

1st, they give a 2 years GC so after it expires the couple have to get back to USCIS so they can make sure they are still married and the marriage was not fake, even if a divorce happened they want to know the status of the immigrant.
2nd, you dont 'have to' apply for the citizenship. It's optional.

Moving to the Netherlands is the best option. He could keep his SSDI, and visit his daughter a couple of times a year. Either that or get a cosponsor. Or end the relationship. Those are the options. It seems to me that it isn't that he can't move there, but that he won't. That's my 2 yuan.

I think it's pretty easy to dramatically cut one's chances of getting defrauded by someone out to get to the states. Not eliminate, but decrease substantially.
At least when it comes to Southeast Asia, the mistake I see people (mainly western men) making is getting involved with women they meet online/through dating services. As someone pointed out up-thread, there are numerous professional scammers who make a bloody good living doing this. I've been to internet cafes in the Philippines where I have personally witnessed women chatting/camming with up to 10 foreign guys at once. She 'loved' them all and probably half of them were sending her money every month.
I feel it very necessary to point out, I have many, many friends, and amazing in-laws, in the Philippines. As an example of what I mean by amazing: my in-laws let me live with them, fed me, and asked nothing from me, for many months when I had no resources, no job, and no prospects. They aren't wealthy people by any stretch of the imagination, but they've always loved me and looked after me as if I were their own flesh and blood. So this posting is not polemic about Filipinos all or mainly being scammers. To the contrary, all it takes is a very small percentage of unscrupulous and/or desperate, and/or lazy people to make everyone else look like #######. Nearly everyone I have interacted with in the Philippines over the decade I have been visiting there has treated me fairly, at a minimum, and more often have been kind and welcoming.
I did not meet my wife through a dating site, or online. She had never thought of coming to the U.S., and never found American men terribly appealing. We ended up together despite my being American, not because I am. Now that she's a citizen, we're trying to decide which country we will live in for the next several years. I have qualms about raising our son in a country where all that matters is being forced into being liked everyone else - a cog in the machine to further enrich, and be obedient to, the ruling elite. There may be no absolute escape from that, but at least in the Philippines, I feel like he will have a chance of valuing the love of his family above whatever useless consumer junk the conglomerates are telling us we must possess.

The moral of the story is, cancel the bloody return flight by letting the airline know you won't be on it. Either that or buy a one way ticket. Don't do what you did.

The fact that you are even considering signing this is ludicrous.
You are worried about the government forcing you to support her but what happens if mom comes over and doesn't want to work? Are you ok with supporting her forever? Because if ever you decide not to support her, your wife would be threatening divorce again. You guys sound like you really need to sit down and understand that divorce is serious and not something to be used to get your own way. Not to be judgmental but she sounds manipulative and it's bound to cause issues in the future.

So your wife is the foreign spouse? Does she have a 10 year green card yet or just the two year one? In my opinion, when you're in a loving relationship you don't threaten with divorce to get your way... But that's just me.
And yes, if you sign an i-864a, you will be financially responsible for your spouse's relative if she can't support her/him. I take it that you signed an i-864 when your spouse immigrated? So it can end with you being financially responsible for both your spouse and her relative.
