Lamentablemente yo no te puedo ayudar porque mi proceso fue bien diferente... Y los demas lo hicieron hace tan to tiempo, que capaz eso ha cambiando un monton... De todos modos, espero que si alguno aparece eche el cuento...
De plano te digo, que hasta donde se, la K1 se tarda... No se si es 6 meses o un ano o 3 meses, pero se que se tarda un poco... Asi que les aconsejo que busquen alguna manera de no volverse tan locos, porque sino va a ser peor.
Cuando Mia te habla del Timeline, eso es para que llenes tu informacion y a la hora de contestar tus preguntas a la gente le queda claro en donde vas con respecto al proceso. Ademas ayuda con las estadisticas que llevan en el foro.
Lo mejor es que te metas en el foro de K1 y mirer (o preguntes) si hay algun otro Venezolano aplicando (seguro habra alguien mas) y que te digan cuanto tiempo se han tardado, etc.

Anyways, just wanted to let you know that the Case Status Online tool is not necessarily an indicative of the actual status of your Petition, ours is still showing as pending with a "Last Updated Date" of 20 Feb 2009. So probably many of your approvals are on their way to you!!!!
As pointed out by Ant, our GC took exactly the same amount of time a Baby would have taken to be born!!! So we are now waiting for our little bundle of joy and we couldn't be any happier!!!!

Baby's due on May 15th, although it may be earlier, if you see my signature it says the baby should be around 4lbs now, well.... He was 3.9lbs about 3 weeks ago! YIKES!

Don't worry, it should be on its way... I was thinking on the weekend that something might have been wrong with our file since I could see people getting approved before us that had filed (and been transferred) after us! Just panicking for no reason!

A friend of mine who filed more or less at the same time as we did and who case got transferred on Feb 12th also, got approved. She got the letter in the mail today.

I would also use any current and past lease documents... If both your names are there, then it should work.
About the notarized letters, I am not sure what difference it makes, but as I remember it, they do request them to be notarized.... We had ours done.

And they are starting to approve the recent transfers so it's a good thing indeed. CSC is amazing at spitting out those approvals in record time.
How do you know the transfers are starting to be approved?

I don't think they would be lurching that far ahead if there wasn't reason to believe they could meet appropriate deadlines.
IMO the goal for all I751's (unofficially) is to have the 10 year card to the recepient within a year. In other words, before they have to stamp the passport with I551.

Well........LOL..........that's what I'm kinda hoping!
I believe that if you look at the evidence, it appears VSC was at least attempting to hit the one year mark. There must have been some indication they were falling so far behind that his goal could not be met.
Sending petitions over to CSC may not make our processes go any faster. But at least it may get them done before the extension letter expires.
I hope.
That is my hope too... It would be nice if they told us how are they planning to deal with the transfers.... I am not asking that they prioritize us over those who sent it in later, but it'd be nice to know where we are standing....
Ah well... sit and wait....

Transferring to CSC is a good thing
Not entirely sure about that statement... We have been waiting for 8 months already, and it has not been clarified if CSC will put the transferred files at the bottom of their piles as if we had just sent them, or if they are somehow going to prioritize...
Processing times says it is 6 months, I know that they are taking a bit less with certain cases, but I can't help but think that to them, our files just arrived in February....

I applied to remove conditions in November last year, did my biometrics on the 18th of December and still cant check my status online. Calling the USCIS number is just a waste cos i have called them at least four times and all am ever told is that i cannot check the status of an I-751 online (which i know is not true cos alot of people here are checking thier status online) and am also told there cannot there cannot see anything on thier systems that i should just wait till i hear from USCIS (which doesnt make sense).
Are you using the case number on your Biometrics Appt letter? If you are, and is still not showing up, I suggest that you request an Infopass appt, since you are obviously note getting anything from calling their number...

My file got touched today too.
The status online shows last touch being 2/22/2009.
The guys from USCIS are workng on the weekends???

I received an e-mail from CRIS today, too - saying my case is pending now at the office to which it has been transferred. Finally my case is touched ...
We have pretty similar timelines; I'm only about a week behind you. Hopefully we get approved soon.

Once you have filed the I130 and it has been approved is up to your spouse to do the visa application, in other words, the Consulate does not expect you to interfere at all, except to provide the I864 .
This, at least was our experience with the London Consulate almost almost 4 years ago, so unless they have changed it, I think you may leave, if you needed to after the I130 has been approved. You don't even have to go to the interview with your spouse. I went, because I wanted to, but there was no need for it.
I guess, at the end of the day is your choice...

Is there anyone has the "Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred"? My status changed on friday. It isn't "Current Status: This case has been sent to another office for processing because it has jurisdiction over the case" anymore. Does the status mean we have to wait for a long time again because the case is now pending again.
I posted the email I received last week. It states the change of status in the case to read what yours reads.

I have never heard of a temp GC either! I know of a friend who never got the letter, and had an Infopass appt and got the passport stamped....

Ok, I have a question ...the NOA extend your green card for one more year? my GC expired in march and i have not received an aproved letter or anything else and the las time my case was touched was in 01/13/09. I already make an appoinment 03/06/09 to go to infopass and see if i can get another stamp in my passport. Has anyone here had to go to get another extension for another year?

Second, when did you file? If your GC expired in March, the letter is to extend that expiration date until next March (2010)...

Those of us who came here very often to post did so in Spanish because we are all Venezuelans. Every time someone came and asked us something in English we would gladly explain the system to them as much as possible to the best of our knowledge.
This thread was originally opened for partners/wives/husbands of Americans, that is why it has always been in Spanish.
FYI - All of us that wrote constantly in here more than a year ago, are FLUENT in English and did not see the need for practicing it here.
