Never seen someone been married 6 times going on seven times I have no clue but personally I would say it's a problem. GOOD LUCK

Jason and Shifa reacted to Anh map in DIVORCE 6 times.
The CO may want to see evidence of a strong relationship to be sure that you will not soon be ex spouse #7 and become a public charge.
Your other post talks about a pre-nup, so don't expect any sort of $$ should a divorce happen. The USC spouse likely has experience protecting assets in family court proceedings. And social services are limited when a green card holder.
Any immigrant moving far far away to live with someone that has been divorced that many times should have a back up plan.
Best of luck.

Um, YES! Who was the person married to, Americans or foreigners? Why would you want to marry someone that showed their level of commitment to marriage with 6 divorces?

Amen sister !!
He's very strict about his rules. Seriously?!??
Do not get caught up in a marriage where you follow somebody's rules. Bad, bad way to start. Compromise or you refuse to be the "bride" at his theatrical production. It's easy. Repeat: I am not participating in this (non)wedding.

Jason and Shifa reacted to Darnell in Immigrant Visa Expires at the end of this year.
it really sucks to be out of the country, unable to monitor postal mail.
so, call into USCIS, and ask for the tracking # on the green card mailing.
Technically, she cannot return to USA through any POE with an expired I-551 document.

Jason and Shifa reacted to Penny Lane in Provided my Girl with instructions, then suddenly a new form pops up
An immigration lawyer isn't at all necessary if you have a simple case. This forum is full of people who have done it themselves and are glad to help others
Honestly, read the guides here at VJ, and download all of your forms from USCIS.gov.
VJ even provides examples of filled out forms so you know how to fill them out properly.
You can hire a lawyer if you'd like, but all they'd be doing is filling out forms with information YOU have to provide. A waste of money (and usually a lot of it) in my opinion!
-
Jason and Shifa reacted to Anh map in Provided my Girl with instructions, then suddenly a new form pops up
Page 3 of the I-129F instructions tells you that a G-325A is required for both you (the petitioner) and her (the beneficiary).
Refer to the K1 Guide here on VJ to familiarize yourselves with all the documents, etc.

Jason and Shifa reacted to lillakatoussa in Can my fiance apply for unemployment
K-1 beneficiaries require a sponsor so that part of your statement is irrelevant. Even the government recognizes the possible need for a co-sponsor, job or not. Just because someone doesn't have a job now doesn't mean they won't have one by the time the OP is in that stage of the process. It's up to the government to decide if the intended immigrant will be a burden or not. That's why the processes are in place.
Oftentimes, love happens under circumstances in which ideal conditions are not in place.

Jason and Shifa reacted to Cathi in Co-Sponsor
this is INCORRECT. As long as the co sponsor is domiciled in the US and when he files taxes files foreign earned income he can be the co sponsor. I know for a fact it's true because it's true for my co sponsor. My husband just received his visa and did not have a problem, my co sponsor was accepted with flying colors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And who are you to pass judgement on this person? Seriously? Did you ever think that perhaps the OP is a student or a recent graduate? This forum is for people who need help on their journey. Grow up and keep your opinions to yourself.
-
Jason and Shifa reacted to Anh map in Its been over 2 years
You need to have met face to face within 2 years of filing the petition. June 2010 is more than 2 years.
Save the lawyer money and use it for travel to see your fiance.

Jason and Shifa reacted to QueenE in Are Bar Girls Disqualified From Getting a Visa?
From people's previous post it looks like this poor girl is still being degraded! I can not believe someone just basically said not to marry this girl ( that they dont know themselves) because she's a bar girl! Since the man did not ask for relationship advice I think some of your judgmental statement about this woman should be kept to yourself. I mean afterall someone is marrying you as judgemental as you are so I dont know why your marriage is more likely to serve then theirs.
Op just br cautious, do some extensive research before you start your application. So you both know the best way to handle it.

Hi Kim,
I am so sorry that this happened. I don't have any advice to offer about your situation other than to say you can get through this. My husband and I have been trying to get his visa for the past 3 years. We are under a great deal of stress but we love each other and our marriage is stronger than ever. Hang in there.

Look i've thought of everything. She can't come study in my country as we have no big Universities and if i study in the US it costs alot of money which again i do not have. We made a deal we'll meet when we both make a bit of money and then we'll see what to do. Thanks for all the answers i appreciate it.

Jason and Shifa reacted to Rob & Monika in Girlfriend
The K-1 process alone costs close to $2000, then to cost to move here... if you can't afford to meet, you can't afford the K-1.

Jason and Shifa reacted to Heysofia in Girlfriend
Just wait it out, you can My fiance and I met in an online game and stayed in a relationship for nearly 4yrs before we meet each other. Had the age issue on my side(I was only 17 at the time and he was 20), while he has the income issue. I finished high school then went from perm part-time to full-time at work so I could save my finances until I was able 18 and financially able to get there. A year and half later after finishing high school, I finally got my 7 week trip to visit him
So really, once you finish high school, get a job and save up your money and try to sort out your finances first. The 2yr meeting requirement can't be avoided and even if you did meet, you will need her to have a co-sponsor to cover you in the USA. If your relationship can last through a year, then you can get through it
Also, ignore what other people say that your too young to know that you want to marry someone. Society these days I've noticed(as I'm only 18 and engaged) is very judgemental of anyone who gets engaged at a young age. When I tell people I'm engaged the response is usually "Oh, wow! Congratulations!....Don't you think your too young though?". It gets quite annoying that people think that your not "living life" and that you should have lots of partners in your early life and "find the one" later on. Personally I think that age doesn't matter, and if you know you love someone and you can't imagine your life without them and you want to grow old together, then why not get married? It's totally acceptable

Jason and Shifa reacted to Penguin_ie in Girlfriend
There is never a guarantee you get approved. You need to show you have a bonafide relationship and a big part of that is spending time together. it is so easy to travel from Europe (for a long weekend, Christmas vacation etc), that even just one meeting may be suspect, though as least if you meet once, you have a chance of approval. They can deny you for other things such as crimes in your past, etc, but the main issue you will have, once you met, is the Affidavit of Support- your US fiance will need to prove she can financially support you or if not, need to find a co-sponsor (someone, like her parents, to stand guarantor for you).

Jason and Shifa got a reaction from Deputy Purple in Divorcing my wife
she's only been in the US for 3 months..she needs adjustment..be patient and be a good husband..it's not easy to leave her home country and start a new life in a new country..give her a chance..you don't know what it's like to leave everything behind and live with someone you love..if she wants to go home, maybe she is homesick..

Jason and Shifa reacted to hamigirl710 in CR-1 or K-1? Need advice given situation.
There are many who get married and do not apply for the CR-1 right away. You can still create joint accounts and visit her like you said. Just save up all the evidence of trips and correspondance. Phone bills and email records showing you have daily communication etc.. I would do this and build the relationship in this manner and when you are ready you can send the paperwork in with the documentation you have collected. Also once you have been married over 2 years the CR-1 (conditinal resident 2 year green card and the need to adjust status to remove conditions) will be changed to an IR-1 (immigrant resident which give the immigrant a 10 year green card and permanent residence status) so there is benefit to getting married in my opinion.
I married my husband in 2010 and because I knew that I could not meet the support requirements we have waited to file until I got my degree and a higher paying job. So I am talking about this from my experience and point of view only. There may be others with a different point of view so it is ultimately your choice in the end.
