  1. Hi everyone! On the G325A, there is a question regarding your addresses within the last five years. My husband signed the blank forms and on the list of last five addresses, I only put his present address because there are some address that our outside the Philippines that I do not know at the time that I filled out the forms. That was supposed to be a scratch form only. Now, I have realized that the form I sent was that with his present address only. How is this going to affect my application and What are the measures that I can do to mend this situation?

Iam really confused and I do not know what to do... Please help me!!!

  3. I was wondering the same thing since CSC is processing I-130 cases slower. I called to find out if this was possible.

    They suggested two option.

    1) In case of an emergency.

There is 10 reasons that your file may be expedited. When you call the 800 number provided on your NOA-1, they inform you what these 10 reasons are.

Obviously you would have to prove it. (If it is not one of these 10 reasons, I would not suggest to try it since it is a very serious matter.)

    2) Just request the service center you would like to be transferred to.

You would have to write a letter (as suggested by the agent on the phone) to the chosen service center. It is up to them if they would transfer your case.

There are risks with this option. The agent on the phone did not know how long it would take to transfer a case. (Possibility - may take longer than if you stay with your current service center)

If your case IS transferred, I do not know if they put your case at the "bottom of the pile" or consider the date on your NOA-1.

I have been searching for any cases that have requested transfer and have been successful at it but I have had no luck yet.

Hey thanks for that Information. I have never called USCIS regarding this, But thank you for that information!

  4. Hi everyone,

Petitioner (who already sent AOS I-864 a months ago) is going to quit his job. Interview is scheduled next month and it is unlikely that Petitioner will find a new job during this time.

So... the question is: does consulate verify through some kind of government or any other facilities if Petitioner is currently working?

Does anyone's petitioner employer was called by consulate to confirm that the Petitioner employed?

    Regards,

    Alexander

Personally, Since it is an issue of quitting and not an issue of getting laid off, DO not quit job at this moment. If your petitioner wants you to be here and do not want your case to undergo so much trouble, why quit now? every job has their own flaws.

  5. I have seen a lot of you here that are routed to VERMONT have been approved in less time. Is there a way that I can ask them to transfer my case at VErmont in a way that would expedite my petition and not hurt it?

Also, I wonder if there is anything that I can do to help them expedite my case? what has contributed to the faster approval? personal experiences are welcomed. please say some prayers for me.

  7. N-400 NOA date - 12/28/2011

Yellow letter- 2/07/2012..in yellow letter its mentioned before forwarding your case we did a complete review...and you are advised to bring 2 documents at the interview but have not received interview letter...or anything..

    Case status says...'initial review'

talked to customer service..and higher officer...officer said...its pending background check and its pretty intense..

    what does that mean?

Do you because its not been 3 years yet since I got a green card...and that is causing this delay?

also, how many days they give you after sending interview letter and actual interview?

Is there any thing we can do at our end....as we have to travel...and because of this interview...we can't

We are on the same boat! I also received a yellow checklist stating what to bring to the appointment: which is basically my expired and valid passports and a state issued ID. I do not have any cases not even traffic tickets on behalf of the background check and still have not received my appointment letter. :(

I am just praying for it to come, but I am not being patient either. I have called USCIS so many times but they only tell me information that is posted on the case status updates. :(

  8. On January 23, 2012, I appeared for my biometrics appointment. The lady who did the fingerprint told me that it takes about 4-5 weeks to receive an interview appointment letter. It has been more than a month now since I did my fingerprint and I have received a yellow paper checklist but I have not received my interview appointment letter. I have seen a lot of people that already got their interview and are scheduled for Oath taking. Also, As far as I know, I do not have any criminal records that might prolong this stage. I called USCIS many times but they are not helpful in terms of why and when. They only tell me information that is reflected on the case status updates.

Has anyone had this problem? Please tell me your thoughts on this. Thanks.

  9. I am a filipina who has been married to a US citizen for almost 3 years now. I came her 2009 as a tourist and overstayed. My I-130 got approved last year and i am just going to apply for I-485. Can somebody please walk me through the process or share their experience? Im happily married with a 2yo daughter and im scared to get deported :( my hubby got laid off so obviously he isnt financially stable to be the sole sponsor. His bestfriend who lives with us is willing to sponsor me. Does he file form I-864 or frm I-864 supplement A? My brother in law is also willing to sponsor. Does he file form I-864? Will it help to have two sponsors even if the bestfriend will be enough?

Thank you so much in advance. Im so nervous. Ive been praying for this a long time and finally we got the money to file. And by the way,how much does medical usually cost? Im in orange county, california. Thanks again, god bless

    Hi ate. :)

If your did you file for I130 with I485?

Check with USCIS for approved doctors that can do Medical Exam for Immigration purposes. Try calling and ask for their fees.

With regards to the affidavit of support, You have to check how many people are declared in each and every one's tax, then check the Poverty guideline for the number of people in the household. Say for example, your brother in law has a wife and a child so that will be (3), then you have to count your household, in this case, you, your husband and your daughter (3). That is a total of Six (6). With the poverty guideline, the combined income for both household should be $37,487. If the combined income is more than that, then you should be fine with one joint sponsor only. But if however, you were not able to meet the guideline, then you would have to find another. Key things to consider: 1. How much they earn 2. Number of people in the Household.

  10. Don't confuse "expected income" with "current income" - they are completely different things.

If you were unemployed from January 2011 to November 2011 and then got a job making $36,000/yr or $3,000/mo, your expected income for the year 2011 would be something like $6,000, right? The form is not asking you for your expected or YTD income - it's asking for current income, which is the amount of money you currently make. The answer in this situation would be $36,000 - not $6,000.

Past income is particularly important if you are self-employed. If you're not self-employed, get a letter of employment and provide a few recent pay stubs. Your current income is more important than what you made 2-3 years ago.

So, the current amount is what I need to write in there since that is my current income, not my total earning from 2011.

Will that be sufficient? I mean I will be making that amount this year but it is just not reflected on any its form since I just started. Is this going to be a complicated case?

  11. Thank you for replying. I am glad someone finally posted. Does it matter if for the previous years i have earned Less? Thanks.

Yes you can use your expected income for the year to show that you are above the poverty level. You'll have to provide a letter from your employer stating your income for the year. Also, you may need to provide pay stubs to show that you are actually earning the amount being stated

  12. Waiting is such a pain. I have not received NOA2 but I was a little bit curious about the application of support. Last year, I only earned $12K, but I got a job that started on September and I will be earning $24K which is just above the 125% of the poverty guideline for family of 3. (We have a son that lives with me plus my husband which Iam trying to provide AOS) Can I use this expected income instead? Can anyone please give me an insight on what I should do or what I can do? Any comment will help. Thanks.
