KKJJ got a reaction from I AM NOT THAT GUY in Is this typical for a Filipina?
I am a Filipina I came from a poor family too and poverty made me strive, create goals, plans and have dreams. You can start sharing you goals or dreams to her, talk about your hobbies that you want to share with her, the kind of family you will build with her, if you want kids, how many if she wants to work or not when you have babies and stuff like that. From there she might know a little bit what to expect or how life will be then she’ll start sharing hopefully. Cause for me it is important for you to know what she wants in life and same to her.

You should talk to her and figure out what causes her to say it instead of posting the problem here.

NOW is the time you have to stop broadcasting stuff about your wife online. As have other's said view your wife as individual and stop generalizing Filipina's from province cause everybody's different. All the posts you started (except immigration related) should be discussed/addressed as husband and wife instead of posting it here, it don't really solved anything whatever issues you have on your marriage/wife. I understand you want to help people by telling your experience but the most important thing really right now is to HELP your wife and it is only be achieved by TALKING to her with everything. You will never understand your wife if you keep posting stuff in here instead of addressing it to her or help her learn with everything. I will be willing to talk to her, help her and just talk about everything. I can be her friend. Shoot me a message. Congrats with the baby!

    Huge. Red. Flag.
If you are being asked for money on a debt and the instrument is concealed from you - RUN the other direction. The FIRST thing you do is look at the paperwork. If it isn't shown to you then all you know is that this is bad news way beyond just owing money.

Vanessa&Tony and Bob 4 Ana gave you the correct advice/answers to your question which in my opinion the correct path to follow and go from there. After that everything will be easy and not complicated anymore.

KKJJ reacted to aaron2020 in food stamp
    This is completely incorrect.
The US citizen husband can receive food stamps and Medicaid. The child (when he/she is born) will be a US citizen entitled to food stamps and Medicaid. The LPR spouse is not eligible for food stamp or regular Medicaid for the first five years in most cases. The LPR spouse is eligible for emergency Medicaid (such as emergency delivery).
The signers of the I-864 agree to reimburse the US government if the immigrant receives a means tested benefit. This applies only to reimbursement for benefits used by the immigrant. The US citizen petitioner can still receive food stamp and Medicaid.

KKJJ reacted to Pree in WELL VISA JOURNEY, MY JOURNEY HAS COME TO AND END
Well Visa Journey, it has been a great time going through my Journey with you guys. I have never really posted anything on the website before, but I have read numerous stories; some heart breaking, some very informative, and some were quite motivational. I just want to thank all of you for your stories as it has helped me get through this tuff time. I started this journey April 15, 2011 and here it is a whole year later, and finally, my husband has his visa in hand and his plane ticket. I finally get to see the love of my life after 10 long months of absence on 04/21/2012. It has been one ruff and rocky road. There were several hurtles and bumps along the way, but WE DID IT! I didn’t think I was strong enough to make it, but I guess I underestimated myself. I just want to say to that person that feels like giving up, I have been there and back! You can do it though, it’s hard, but you can do it. If you ever want to talk and hear my roller coaster of a story, I am here. Once again, THANK YOU ALL!!

KKJJ got a reaction from Caryh in Which name use for AOS forms and all else?
I didn't encounter any problems at all. I am lucky that most government staff I went to was aware that we have different culture and tradition. I went to Social Security office last year and filled out forms for a name change since I got married and used FirstName Father'sLastName Husband'sLastname and the clerk confirmed it by asking. Same with the bank and other billing statements. They are aware that I am a filipino and of course have a different tradition My AOS forms and Notices are all under FirstName Father'sLastname Husband'sLastName no problem at all.
