Yes the NVC and DOS can give you the date. In her case, since she filed for the CR1 visa, the NVC assings the date for her and not the embassy. This is the case for all CR1s. When you file for a K1 visa the embassy assigns it but you can find out through NVC or DOS because the embassy must notify that an interview date has been assigned, and to avoid paying $7 for each call by calling the US embassy in Santo Domingo we call NVC and DOS to find the date.

Just my two cent, and please don't get offended: regardless of (or in addition to) the immigration process, be very careful. Would you really cross the world and go to Nigeria to marry a person that you have never even met face to face? And add his name to your bank account? I would rather travel and meet him (no strings attached): you can spend some time together, get to know each other a little better, take a few pictures of you two (useful for the immigration process, btw), and then you return to the US. THEN, after all of this, you will think whether you still want to pursue this path. In the meantime, you will have educated yourself on the immigration process, the difficulties with consular interviews in high-fraud countries, the affidavit of support and the 125% rule. Mr. Miami I was very impatient until I started this process however as you can tell I am so relaxed about this whole process I don't even believe it. yes am anxious for everything to finish but I know that God has all of our cases in his hands and I know he will let us know when our time has come. I do agree with you, you and your status are very positive and I love everyone of those messages, like you have 8 months without seeing my hubby just talking on the phone not even on webcam so I know the feeling all to well.. I really do miss him dearly but am excited cuz God has helped me in many ways I am now going in May for a weekend to celebrate my one year anniversary with him and the family and then ill go back for the interview then hopefully if all goes well back again in August to pick up my babies :dance: The whole DR crew is great and wonderful couldn't have asked for a better crew

I believe you are stressing for no reason ,, You need to relax and take it easy, Keep positive you know what helps me a lot working, hanging out with my kids, vj, walking, listening to music, and talking to people that are positive. am very grateful for my VJ friends who are positive 2 who actually have helped me a lot on VJ and by phone have been SAM and of course my dear friend V who i was actually on the phone with when I got my NOA2. and of course Matt who I tend to drive crazy with all my questions since am also bring my step son.. lmao Surround yourself with positive energy and will find that 19 days is not as far as you think B-)
