Question 9 is asking about the number of times of marriages. This is my spouse first and only marriage to me. The question says "Including my present marriage, I have been married _______ times. The correct response is 0. Please clarify. Once again, this is my spouse first and only marriage. She had never marry before.

I was looking at the required documents for the IV package. I noticed that passport photographs of the beneficiary is not on the list. Please I was just wondering if they asked for passport photograph of the beneficiary. If they do, how many do they ask for? Thanks.

I will be moving to another place once they schedule my spouse for an interview. You can request the USCIS to mail the green card to a different address by indicating the fowarding address on question 11. Please I don't know if anybody has done this before. Please can anyone share his or her experience if you have gone through this route. I don't know if USCIS really mail the card to the address you indicate on question 11 box.

Thanks for info. I know after the payment is cleared through the bank, NVC will then email me the I-864 package. I have the required information ready. When they email me the information, I have to send it by USPS express mail since Nigeria is not in the opt email countries. Please clarify.

NVC emailed me the bill for I-864 AOS. I went to the payment portal on the website. It states that it will read "PAID" after 2-3 business days. Does it means that it takes 2-3 business days for the payment to clear through your bank. I thought that once you made the payment, it clears through your bank account right away. Your thoughts.

I called NVC this afternoon and the operator gave me my case and ID number. I asked her about my spouse emailing the choice of agent. She said that I have to wait till I can the copy in the mail. I thought that once you get the case number, the beneficiary should go ahead and email the choice of agent. Please advise if my spouse should email the DS3032 despite what the operator told me. I am gathering all the required documents. On form DS230, please I was just wondering if it is ok to fill it out for my spouse, then scan and email it to her for her signature. After her signature, she will then mail by Fedex, DHL or any other mailing service together with other required original documents such as police certificate, birth certificate, marriage certificate, et. NOA2 on May 24. Called NVC and the operator told me that my case was received today being 06/18/2012. Have 10 business days to get a case number.

I just got off the phone with an operator at NVC. The operator informed me that my approved I-130 petition was received at the NVC today. I don't when I will get the case number and IV number. According to the operator, it takes about 10 - 15 business days.

I heard that you can scan and email your I-797 Notice of I-130 petition to NVC for them to check on the status of your case. Please I was just wondering if anybody can tell me their email address and the information I have to put down when sending them the scanned approval notice. Thanks.

I called Children's Practice from abroad and was told the price is N22,000/each for medicals so I sent my family there due to the info above. When my family arrived there, the price was something else - way higher than N22,000. My family didn't think it was the best in service and all but the speed at which results came was fabulous! Some folks where there for hours for the test because there was only 1 nurse attending to people. The clinic wasn't also at its best standard according to my family or maybe my family was expecting too much

Yes the price is N22,000. If you contact the hospital before the test date, they will advise you to have additional N9,000 in case there is any need for immunization. I am contemplating sending my spouse to this clinic for her physical. Now I am having mixed feelings based on your family experience.

Why not have the beneficiary fill it out? Why do you need to fill it out?

But to answer your question, yes - the beneficiary will need an original signature to send to NVC

I can scan and email the form to the beneficiary for her to fill it out and sign, then she can mail it out to me. I hope that is ok.

I heard that NVC accepts birth certificate records prepared by the Nigerian National Population Commission. I want my spouse to do declaration of age. However, I was advised that after doing the declaration of age, she should take it to the National Population Commission for their own record. Has anybody gone through this route? This question is addressed to Nigerian VJs.

One of the documents required for IV package is a certified/original copy of the beneficiary birth certificate. In this case, my spouse has a birth certificate that was given to her by the hospital where she was born. Please I was just wondering if I should tell her to get a sworn declaration of age at the court or just use the birth certificate given to her by the hospital. My fellow Nigerian VJ, this question is for u. Please advise.

Please I was just wondering if any Nigerian VJ can tell me how much it cost to get a police certificate. I heard that you have to get it at the Police headquarters in Alagbo, Lagos. How many days does the process take?

I am putting together the documents required for form I-864 Affidavit of Support.I have gather the tax transcript for the last 3 years. Please I was just wondering if there is any need including my W2 even though I have the tax transcript. In addition, how many months of paystubs should I include?

I checked my email few minutes ago and I am glad to find out that my I-130 petition has been approved. Now I am all set for the NVC stage.

I am now seeing NOA1 dated 1-28-2012 being approved and the country is Columbia. This is getting quite interesting.
