Being Military does not make you a saint! I live in an area with one of the largest population of military in the country and let me tell you, no person, fighting for the country or not, is without fault. One of my best friends is a JAG officer, military people are in jail here for being child molesters, abusers, rapists, and more! Some of them officers! Spare us the guilt trip....
She is seeking advice, all we can do is take her at her word and steer her in the right direction.

Your K-1 was not denied, your petition was denied, and it was denied for this exact reason. The instructions for filing your I-129F clearly state that you MUST have met in person at least once in the past 2 years. It is not a suggestion it is a requirement!

No judgement, many people meet only once and know they are with the correct person, BUT you have to meet and save proof of the meeting before you file again. (keep your plane ticket stubs, take some photos together)
I wish you the best. But you need to read read read and get your stuff together before you re-file. Good luck! And combine that strong faith with some correct information.

well I got a case number in just 12 days, others got theirs in under 10 just last week... I don't see a huge slow down there! After almost 6,5 months waiting 10-20 days is nothing
Hang in there people and support each other as much as you can! we have one person in our January family who passed 200 days mark yesterday and we are all rooting for her and others still waiting... we have been there so we know it's tough but once you get your NOA2 in a few days you will feel so much better, I promise! Good luck!

For any of you who don't know... Things seem to move through NVC pretty fast. Our things arrived 2 days ago, and left to the consulate today. NVC won't commit to a time that it will arrive, but I was told that it was sent over to Moscow electronically and that I can contact the embassy next week to check on it, and I don't need to talk to them anymore. They also told me they are sending a letter telling me it was forwarded to the consulate. All I can say, is that its completely different than USCIS / VSC... So much quicker, and they seem much more helpful too.

She probably already had another buyer lined up well before coming here. All you did is pay to unite them in the US. She will probably just stay here illegally like th emillions of others who walk the streets among us every day.
This is not your fault. You did nothing wrong. Like others said, forget her and move on. And don't let her sweet talk you into giving her another chance. It's possible that she planned to marry somebody else but doesn't know that she can't get a greencard marrying somebody else. And like another member said, she may try to beg to take her back. DON'T DO IT!!! Once she gets her greencard, you can bet she'll leave again.
Look at it this way... At least you didn't marry the bittch!

Please dont take the information you are getting here wrong no one is trying to hurt you or tell you that you are being scammed for sure. But you need to keep your eyes open going into this. You have no idea how stressful this process is if you are waiting to see if he has a temper you will definetly find out during this process you may even find a temper you have that you didnt know about. Dont ignore your red flags... Pay attention to what people are saying about them.... Even if he is totally 100% in love with you he is going to have to overcome those flags in the interview. You are dealing with Lagos they assume he is lieing and he has to prove he is not. Age difference is a big Red Flag I know for a fact because I am alot older than my husband so we both know that we have that battle ahead of us..Going there and seeing what it is like will help alot. I read on here from some one who was scammed into a fake marriage somethings you should pay attention to while your there. (Will he let you meet any of his family and friends, will he take you to where he lives or will you stay in a hotel far away from his neighborhood.. Is there a particular female that hangs around that may not be as friendly as the others (she could be the one he is trying to get a visa for)) Its fine to believe in God but you have to pay attention to the signs he gives you.. dont be the guy on the roof who drowns in a flood because he turned down help 3 times while waiting for God to save him... Listen to what people who have been there done that have to say and read read read... I wish you the best in your journey and many years of happiness... But be prepared cause even if he is perfect this is going to be a bumpy ride...

Please note that Nigeria is the number 1 scam country. It is very easy for a man to sweetalk someone online. It is easy to profess love, and say nice things, like you are my queen, I am ready to marry you, I can't live without you, etc. Please don't become another victim of an immigration scam. The fact that you were willing to petition for someone you have never met indicates that you may be gullible, no offense. I hope your belief in God and the fact that you were denied will help you be more cautious, and take it as a sign from god that you need to be careful, and not rush things with someone you have never met, especially from a country known for defrauding good intentioned americans.

I read your earlier post, and the reason is because the example you posted looks like an advertisement for YOUR attorney. If that is not the case, then it would have been best to refrain from even using your lawyer's name in your post and simply talk about using lawyers in general.

A Congressman/ Senator COULD help if the problem was different, HOWEVER, the OP clearly stated all he sent was an I-129f form and a check.
Not being rude, but he did not follow the instructions and no Congressional help is going to fix that.
MJ, I am sorry this happened to you, but maybe you could try the following: When we filed, I printed the instructions for filing from USCIS site so I would have it in front of me to make notes on it, and mark off what was done. I went step by step and did what the instructions said. When I got to a part that was N/A for me, I took a black marker and scratched that section out. It helped me to stay focused. I then printed the instructions from this site (as well as examples of the Letters etc) and cross referenced what I had done according to the USCIS site.
USCIS will not send and RFE for that much missing stuff. It is the government. They don't have to by nice. If that much stuff if missing they will just deny you and you will have to re-file. I am so sorry they waited so long to let you know.
If the reason for your denial is that you did not send the correct items, it is a timely but do-able fix. I wish you luck and hope it all works out for you.

I hate to be harsh, but, the instructions on the I-129F are clear. If you only sent that form and money, not only you wasted money, you wasted time. Yes, I can assure you that's why you're denied. You must fill out all the forms and send evidence of having met in person within 2 years. So, if you haven't seen her in 2 years prior to filing, you must return to her home country and gather evidence of meeting her within that timeframe. Becareful with using western union receipts as evidence as it may look like a business transaction.
You will have to refile and spend more money and wait more time.

I would send a letter re-introducing yourself and stating you had applied for the position of XXX on such and such a date. State that you wanted to let them know that you are still interested in working for the organization, because of (give your reasons why you like the work this organization does). State that you would like to be considered if a position does become available and that you would be happy to meet with them at any time for an interview. Ask them to please keep your resume in mind (and enclose a new copy) and remind them of some of your more pertinent skills that are relevant to this organization. It doesn't hurt to do a follow up on a previous application to let the employer know you are still available and interested - and to impress them again with your job qualifications. There are many jobs that get filled by someone being in the right place at the right time - and that is what you want to do in case they don't go through a re-advertisement of the position. You want to 'position' yourself into the front row for their consideration.
The cover letter would be the main part of the email with the resume as the attachment.
    Good luck.

No they're really not. The problem is the incorrect use of the English language.
    http://www.merriam-webster.com/medical/abortion
The full term in relation to someone electing to end a pregnancy is "voluntary abortion". The OP had a "spontaneous abortion" which is the correct medical terminology for a miscarriage.

Yes, hide a major event in your life from your future spouse until after you're here...and look forward to a return trip should he decide not to marry you. Plus, what if this comes out and he thinks you may be hiding other things from him? Being in a successful relationship, especially one where you're going to marry the person and uproot your life, should be based on honesty and openness. If you're scared to tell him this, then perhaps you're not ready for marriage.
Also, I wouldn't rely on Google, MD to determine what a doctor can/cannot tell upon examining you.
