Nathalie2007 reacted to C-ma'am in Could you review my my interview packet please?
NOA2 letter is not needed for the interview, but if you want to take a COPY, do so. Keep the original SUPER SAFE, because you'll need that for AOS (after you get married); and if you lose it, USCIS will try to charge you almost $500 for a copy and takes months to receive it.

    Congrats!!!
now you need to keep calling NVC to make sure they sent your package.. after that we waited 3 days and then emailed the embassy and requested an interview date.. I am not sure what the procedure is for your country. if you contact them or if they contact you

I've been looking back through K-1 applications that have received NoA2s It looks like there are a considerable amount of people who are still waiting from mid-may to have their petitions either a) delivered to NVC or b) released from NVC. So there are one of two options here. There is an intense amount of people waiting to hear from NVC or people have stopped updating their timelines. If it's the latter, I'm none too impressed.

Right just to make it clear
Building a list by yourself is one thing, and I've shared that information with sabi to carry on the torch but I'm still unsure whether or not I am even supposed to do this, so I'm politely going to decline sharing the numbers any more.
What needs to be clear is that while your case number might be next one that's approved, it does not mean you are coming next. I did this as a curiosity only, and only because the USCIS follows an extraordinarily rough pattern. As curious, and desperate as well all are to here something, this data is for fun, and for fun only.
Until I can clarify if I am allowed to even collect this information and share it out, I'll be sticking only to my usual updates.
Also, please for the love of all that is holy, have some brains and remove your email addresses from public view unless you want to end up getting spammed!

While there is nothing wrong with encouraging people to update their timelines, expecting to make any particular difference is not realistic. More likely it will be more of the same. Unless there are a bunch of members out there getting their approval much faster than everyone else and NOT updating, nothing will change. Kind of like encouraging people to vote. it will not necessarily make a difference. There is no large number of people getting approved that aren't telling about it. The larger the database, the more it takes to change it.
Rather than looking at timelines which is, at best, a slightly educated guess, I would suggest reading the forums about AOS and also about the experiences people are having after moving here. Y'know, all the people that stared at timelines and then suddenly realized they need things like driver's licenses and such and have no clue what to do now. Check the "movcing here and your life in America" forum and the "general Immigration" forum. Treasure troves of information and warnings of the pitfllas to avoid.
Instead of saying "Sorry Sveta but those boobs at VJ are not filling in their timelinbes so I have no news" Better to say "Today I went to the DMV and found out everything we need to know to get you a drivers license, I also met with my company HR person about adding you to our health insurance" Silly stuff like that.

Just because you don't see update on VJ immigration timeline, it doesn't mean that they have slowed down.
What I do to keep my spirit up and to kill time is to check the USCIS status website, and check the status of random case number in there and keep track of where they are in the processing date.
I wrote down several sets of these random cases for different dates like 15th nov, 21st nov, 25th nov, 30th nov, 7th dec ... etc
For example, I have written down about 5-10 random case number for I-129F at CSC for 21st november I noticed today that the majority of these cases got approval yesterday. So I know for sure that CSC is working on 21th + november petitions.
I find this much more reliable than VJ timeline but also a lot more time consuming though. In VJ timeline, the dataset is small and sometimes people are not actively update their timeline.
Another thing that helps me not too worry too much is looking at the statistics on USCIS, for I-129F they complete 1500-2000 cases every month, so you can take it and know that they are working on it and stop worrying about "daily" update.

This is one of the greatest topic I've ever read! You think you know other's experience but we have no idea jajajaja. But is funny how we all identify with our experience about having long distance relationships. Sometimes it sucks, but the distance has taught us how much we love each, and appreciate every single second we can share together, made us appreciate our relationship even more cause we basically had to fight for it. There's a saying in spanish that basically says the good things in life are the ones you have to work your #### for. JAJAJAJAJAJA we see other relationships, normal and regular ones and I feel like we are not like them, we are so closed to each other, we love each other so much and we never take anything for granted. I learnt that is not about how much time we spend together is about quality time, choose well our battles and fights.
Maybe sounds crazy but I think we all here are pretty lucky about finding our real soulmates, and fight for been together. I think we are all bless despite all the wait, anxiouness, all the sadness we feel everytime we miss our loveones.
A week ago OUR visa was approved by the embassy and the only thing I'm waiting for is my passport. My fiance left 2 days ago, with all my clothes and some of my belongings. And he's waiting for me at home. It's weird start packing your stuff, I quited my job yesterday and I work til friday. I still can't believe that we finally made it after 7 month of long waiting. I know that we're gonna fight and argue, sometimes good days, sometimes bad days...but we both know our way back home, and he's my home. Everytime you'll fight, remember all the things we all had to go through and think about all the people who were denied and they are still fighting.
I've seen tons of couples who basically live in the same place, but they're NOT together...being "together" is not about 2 persons in the same room, means 2 people that love each other, share, talks, support each other everyday. I don't need to be in the same room with my fiance to feel that we are together, cause we already are. Like a song in spanish says: "Uno no esta donde esta el cuerpo, sino donde mas lo extrañan" I 'll try to translate :"We are not where our body is, but where they (our loveones) miss us more".
I hope you all make it, and finally be with with your loveones. God bless you all
    Andrea & Henry

Completely ramdom, I know... but I am very curious as to how other people do it. For me is a first time. I am madly in love with my boyfriend (soon to be husband) who lives in another country. I never thought I would be the one to do a long distance relationship. NEVER in my wildest dreams I thought I could... but true love takes us to different places, and makes us do things we thought we never could.
It is, without a doubt, the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but we are soooooo worth it. We have our ups and our downs, but most importantly we are always there for each other. I just wonder, how other people do it? how do you deal with the distance? Just curious...
