I think I have everything set for Monday, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything:
    -Bank statements with both names
-Car insurance with both names on it(I'm taking the card that has both names)
-His military life insurance with me as beneficiary
-DEERS letter of enrollment(a proof of Health/Dental insurance with my name and the date the coverage started)
    -My military spouse ID
    -His orders and ERB
-Verizon bill with me as Authorized User
    - Verizon call log with all his calls highlighted(he usually calls me 4 or 5 times a day)
    -Cards, letters, pictures of us
-Cards and letters his parents/family sent to us
-Some military related letter addressed to me
-My ticket confirmation(yes..I bought it. I got a farelock thing so I can hold the reservation for 7 days)
-His last pay stub and out 2011 taxes plus his W2's
-All original documents I need to have with me.
-Our wedding photobook and cards of people congratulating us, plus the invitation
-A scrapbook I have ever since we've met
    I'm missing something?

I just had my interview today and felt that my husband and I lighten our load for the stress we've been through. Thank God, the IO seems fine to us. He asked my husband first and I was left behind then, he called me after 10-15 mins afterwards. I was nervous but it went well.
Here are some of the questions (that I remembered) ;-)
    - My current name
    - My birthday
    - What did we do last weekend
    - Documents like health & medical, joint bank account, most recent ITR (he took all these from me)
    - My Driver's License and EAD/AP card, passport with I-94
    - How we met
Well, I will try to remember what else the IO asked me and update you...
He said, we are approve and wait for the GC to arrive in about 2 weeks time. I hope getting the GC will be very soon!
    Goodluck to everyone!

Ohh I did.. I have a congressman involved right now and he's trying to anticipate my interview because i was suppose to be done with the process a while ago..They literally sat my application in someone's desk and only sent the letter acknowledging the request to expedite almost 2 months after I sent the package I can safely say those past two months were the most annoying two months of my life!
I hope mine ha a HUGE one! 11am is that time of the day that you start feeling hungry again! :lol

I'll say the controversial thing here but IMO a lot of these failed relationships... they rushed into things. They ignored red flags. They spent only a short amount of time together. Our relationships are still relationships even if we're in different countries, in person, would it be reasonable to marry someone you spent a week with, and from a different culture? No. How do some people here find it reasonable? So how are the USCs surprised when things don't work out well? Look, in some cultures, cheating is expected, men are controlling, women jealous, etc. These are the type of things it takes time to find out, time TOGETHER in person. I'm Latin, so when I read some of the problems USCs here have with their Latin partners, I think, "Um, yeah, that's normal for us, you're the one acting weird in our opinion, etc". In our relationships we really need to do as much as possible to learn about each other before giving so much time, money, and emotional investment in this visa process. IMO it's very easy to idealize someone when the majority of your contact has been on Skype or something.
Of course, maybe it's different for other folks, and thankfully most relationships at least here on VJ seem successful. But I also don't understand many (of course cases of abuse or cheating don't count) where folks want to deport their partners for things that could've just happened in any relationship.

Rudeness comes from all countries. Usually overreaction comes when something hits too close to the truth.

Your husband has to go to the interview. The only exceptions are for military in deployment or an extreme circumstance that he can't appear. Just because he doesn't want to appear is not a reason. If I'm not mistaken, if your husband decides no to attend, your application will be denied and you will have 30 days to leave the country. After that, if you don't appeal your case, you will be out of status and risking deportation.
I think you should have a conversation with your husband about your travel expenses. I don't know the situation, so for me to give you a "how-to" advice is complicated, but if you don't think your marriage is working anymore, talk to him.
If you go home, before the removal, on the book you are okay, but it depends on how they will look at your situation. Think about it, you applied for a immigrant status, got denied, left and then are trying to come back here to visit or study. This is totally my personal opinion, but this screams "trying to live i the US" to me.
I'm sorry you are going through this. I would recommend some marriage counseling. I don't think it's hard if both parts are willing to work things out. The cultures clash, and this is normal, but it all depends of how much you and your husband wants to make the relationship work. I am Brazilian and my husband American. Thankfully I never felt any type of struggle in our relationship. But every time we feel that our cultures are getting too much in the way, we try to figure it out the best way to handle the situation. My only advice it would be trying some counseling for now. Good luck
