Lynn/Saif reacted to Harpa Timsah in need help to understand what is wrong about not hiring me !!
It is possible that someone has been using your SSN number for years. A person might have made up a number years ago, a number that wasn't issued yet, and now it ends up being your number. This happened to JimvaPhuong's wife, I believe.
I would first get a free credit report or go to the SSA and ask for a report on that number. If there is old activity on the number, ask for a new number. It will take some finagling but it is a new number and should have zero activity on it - you don't want credit or identity theft problems haunting you throughout your life here because someone has been using your number before it was even issued.
A SSN is a unique number that is yours forever, not only throughout life but after your death too. That is your number and only for you.

Lynn/Saif reacted to aaron2020 in NVC refuse my document !
You're getting pissed off at the wrong party. The NVC property rejected your documents because your lawyer failed a very basic requirement; originals must be submitted to the NVC. You should be pissed off at your lawyer.

From the US State Department's website on how to submit documents to the NVC; http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

Translation Requirements
All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that the:

Required Documents
Original documents, photocopies, and translations (if required, as explained above) of the following documents must be submitted to the NVC for you and each family member immigrating with you to the United States.

Lynn/Saif reacted to daboyz in NVC refuse my document !
Lawyers for this process are useless. Mine set me back $1800 and delayed the process by 3 months thanks to is incompetence. He had no clue about the NVC process. If it wasn't for this website, my wife would still be sitting in Thailand.

Lynn/Saif reacted to ISIS AND TROY in NVC refuse my document !
EXACTLY!!! Send the originals followed with a translation, anyone can do the translation, it doesn't need to be "sworn"
Just make sure the person translating will state the following:
"I certify that I am competent to translate (foreign language) to English and that this is a complete and correct translation."
Put the name of the person doing the translation and have him/her sign it.
Good luck!

You have to send the originals in the native language as well as the translations. That's the way it works. You'll get them back at the interview.

Lynn/Saif reacted to NevermindVz in I dnt know What wrong with my fiance
Exactly. How is he supposed to get you deported if you are on a F1 student visa? I'm puzzled. I also suggest you move back to California and continue your studies there. Good luck!

Lynn/Saif reacted to Lisamarie in very serious question ! pleaz help
Include some really strong personal affidavits from you and her with your petition. They're not required or asked for, but they will help. Just pour your heart out like you just did with us, and have her do the same. Some affidavits from your families would really help too.

Lynn/Saif reacted to together4evr in very serious question ! pleaz help
All that information is important if I am the officer who interviews you
So just make sure you send all that proof into NVC with the DS230 form
All the extra evidence before the interview in a hard consulate is something I recommend.
They might not look at evidence at the interview
So make sure you send proof of all you just said.
If I was the CO then I think I would approve you!
