hello vjers :)i checked our case update today at uscis site , it says that our case was updated 4/30 2012. i dont know what does that mean, i dont know if does it mean that our noa2 will take longer. please advice vjers. one friend of mine got their I129f approval on june12th and their case was 1/28 2012. and she was only a day ahead from my noa1

Hi! It just means that your case has been "touched", don't worry too much! hehe it could be an RFE or it could be an approval, we never know. Anyhow, good luck!

Yeah, its been TOO long. But i'd like to believe the officer when he said u will get it in 2 weeks. Brian says Rick should sent it in Vermont kasi taga Missouri xa. So cheer up, sis. NOA2 is just around the corner now. Miss our long emails btw. *hugs*

Past criminal history. My fiance had a conviction before.. Just called Vermont and he was told we should get a decision in two weeks. We'll see I hope it's not gonna be over a year. I'm goin bonkers. lol

I don't understand why they transferred our petition from California Service Center to Vermont Service Center... for background checks. It's....... unreasonable. lol Anybody has thoughts on this? lol

No more than 3 weeks, but in our transfer notice it said what centre our petition was going to, I hope yours does too and you update this thread so we can offer more help.

At about the 6 month mark our petition was transferred from Vermont to California to ease the burder off of the over flowing Vermont. Perhaps yours did too

After 6-ish months of waiting for the NOA2, we were told a couple weeks ago to wait for 90 more days for further background checks. Fiance got a text from USCIS yesterday sayin our case has been updated and check the status online.. Checked the status online and it still says "Initial Review"...

Specifically it says....

"On May 29, 2012, we transferred this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

I am a lil bit confused on where they are goin to transfer our petition lol Any ideas??

Fiance called USCIS and was told that he should receive I-797 notice in 7 days.

What does that mean? lol Is it an RFE or what? lol cuz I didn't know that if it was an RFE, it will be transferred to another office. (Not sure though) lol

Anyways just wanted to ask you guys, maybe you can share some thoughts about this.

You're not alone. I myself have been dealing with this BS. It makes a difference if the petitioner has a past conviction... We're made to wait for 90 more days. dafuq.

awwww so sorry to hear that.. as what I have read here, sustained income is really a must cuz the govt has to make sure that you won't become a public charge.. I have read here too (not sure) that you can use assets.. maybe you wanna take that into consideration:) anyways, good luck.. I hope all goes well for you...
