72 photos is a little bit bit of overkill lol. I sent about a dozen.
lol..agreed. I only sent 8.

Hello,
Why risk a RFE. Yes, photos aren't required, but as you can see almost everyone sends at least some photos and they can only help anyone's case.

I printed them out on paper and put a number next to the picture. I then put a description of the picture next to the number. I utilized Word to to organize the pictures on paper in the manner that I wanted to.
This is what I did also. I color copied 2 to a page, with a short description under each photo(i.e-"Me and my future father-in-law a day before my wedding")

Hello,
Just to chime in here, it sounds like your husband(Petitioner) is pulling a fast one for whatever reason. Like others have said, it doesn't sound right.

Hello everyone,
My freak-out is over. I've read all the information, and the links from this thread. Although I wish she hadn't had it, i'm confident everything will be ok. I was very concern because this is my first child, and y'all know how parents panic over every little thing when it comes to their child. Thanks for info everyone.

I know this will not come of really well, but shouldn't she have shown concern about them x-raying her while pregnant, or at least shown concern to the Embassy personnel when she saw that an x-ray was one of the things on the medical list?
When I previously accompanied my young son to have his arm x-rayed at the orthopedics or x-ray his teeth/mouth/gums at the dentist, the clinic personnel asked me if I was pregnant so I can stay very far away. I wasn't even the patient, just the accompanying mother but they made sure that 1) I was not pregnant, 2) That I did not THINK I was pregnant 3) if I was or thought I could be pregnant, that I was nowhere near the x-ray machines. But of course, I am talking about here in the USA.
No, i agree with you completely. I told her she shouldn't have gotten the x-ray, that's why you had the letter from the doctor. She said they told her it was obligitory, and I told her it's not if you're pregnant and you have documentation. She should have said no, but she didn't and of course i'm hearing "it's not good," and others saying, "It's ok". #######?? I honestly don't know what to think.

This is from DOS website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3745.html#_What_if_the_1
If the applicant is pregnant must she have a chest x-ray?
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requires that women who are pregnant and required to have a medical examination in connection with the issuance of a visa, and are examined in a country currently using the 2007 TB Technical Instructions must have a chest x-ray examination conducted. Pregnant women will have to provide the panel physician with consent to conduct the chest x-ray. For the health of the applicant and her unborn child, CDC instructs panel physicians and laboratories to provide abdominal and pelvic protection with double layer, wrap-around lead shields when they receive the chest radiographs. This requirement does not apply to countries using the 1991 TB Technical Instructions which allow for an exemption of the chest x-ray requirement for pregnant women. Pregnant applicants who do not wish to have the X-ray will be granted a temporary exemption when they provide written certification of pregnancy signed by their personal physician or obstetrician.
So yes, for visa issuance, pregnant women MUST take the chest x-ray. They can request a temporary exemption (meaning they will have to make the x-ray in the US I suppose) with a written certificate from their doctor.
Which country would the D.R be under, 1991 TB technical instructions or 2007?

They make all pregnant women take the chest x-ray, it's mandatory. They should have protected her belly with a special screen, they did, right?
yeah, she said they protected her stomach, but I didn't want her to have that.

Hello,
Ok,my wife just finished her medical and she's about 7 weeks pregnant and the dam doctors made her take x-rays even though they knew she was prenant. Has anyone else done this and what were the results.

ok i am the beneficiary my husband is the petitioner, he is comin fro the US to accompany me, does it mean i have to put his name? or accompany here means something else?
Ok, I'll try to explain it again. No, 31a is for any other person coming with you on a visa(i.e your daughter). You don't put his name there.

Hello Everyone,
So this time i need your help.
My passport expired last month, and...i need to renew it.
The problem is that i really dont know if i should do it with my married name or my maiden name.
The hardcopy i sent to the chicago lockbox was from my previous passport, and i was wondering....if i changed it in this new passport that would bring problems.
I didnt do it before because to be honest i wasnt expecting to do it all brand new i was hoping they extended the expiration date, but apparently they dont do that anymore.
Oh well... what do you think?
No, there won't be a problem. Get your new passport with the name you want. When you get your NOA2, just send an email to NVC with petitioners name, D.O.B and beneficiaries name, D.O.B and tell them your name has changed. Also, attach a copy of your new passport to email as proof of name change. They'll make the change on any new notifications you receive in the future. This is what I did.

hi if some info is to long to fit on the DS-230 but cab=n be written in should i do that? and what is question 31a? my husband is coming to travel with me is that what they mean? thanks
Hello,
Sometimes you can changed the font to make an answer fit, but if you have to write it in, you can. Just be neat. 31A means what family member will be accompany him. For example, I wrote in my Step-daughters name in that box. She will be coming with her mother. Remember, the DS-230 is done by the beneficiary for many types of visas, so if a child, cousin, etc were also applying and coming with him they would go here. Since your visa is a Cr-1, then it most likely would be any kids he had, if they were coming. I'm assuming your name is in box 14, and you're american. You're already here, so you won't be coming with her.

Hello Dom,
Like others have said, sounds like you have more than enough. Honestly, you two have a child together and that should be your Ace in the hole right there. Don't sweat it.

Congratulations!

Not a problem at all. Glad I can help but I am sure some more experienced people will answer this later today so we will find out for sure how much I really helped (LOL), but it seems to be extremely straight forward. If you have the actual marriage license it is already a certified document...
The certificates(Marriage, birth) need to be inextensa and legalized.

Thanks Matt I like the idea of copies of the stamps in the passport.
No problem, to make it easy for them i put a note next to each entry stamp so they could see it easier. Good luck!

Hi everyone well my husband USC received the RFE letter, they ask for a number of items. They need sworn affidavits from a third party having personal knowledge of our bonifide marriage. They ask for proof of ongoing marriage union. Then immigration want us to provide 2 photographic Identification such as driver's licence, state issued ID or passport. (we submitted our Passport yet they still ask for this). For those of you who pass through this befor please give me advice backed up with examples of what i can submit especially for that proof of ongoing marital relationship especially since I am not living in the US yet. thanks for all information towards this.
Hello,
I answered a similiar question earlier in a nearly identical post. Your answer is there.

If we got married while basically on vacation in another country, will we be able to proof bonafide marriage? Will marriage certificate, joint bank account, one residence abroad, plus a bunch of peripheral documentation like Skype exchanges, gift receipts, photos together, airline tickets etc., be enough to establish bonafide marriage?
Thanks!
Hello,
You're not trying to prove a bonifide marriage, you're trying to prove bonifide relationship. If they only cared about you being married, then the marriage certificate would be all you need. They're more concerned with are you having a real relationship; i.e how many times have you seen this person? do you have proof that you've met? For my I-130, I sent:
-8 photos(1 with her father, 1 with her mother, 2 from our wedding, 2 with her daughter, and 2 of us out and about.
-copies of passport stamps proving my entry into her country and leaving.
-marriage certificate.
-2 affidavitts from witnesses to our marriage.
Good luck.
Matt
P.S, i also got married out of the country and none of my family members could make it.
