Sound like you got scammed maybe she was just using you to get to the US. sorry you had to go through this. this truly sucks. My husband was stationed at a small town which while it was not too great compared to where I was living before, to me it didn't matter because we're together. If she truly does love you, she'd feel the same way. I think she was hoping to get you to move to AZ so she could be near her friends but it seems to me she didn't factor in the fact that you'd spent a lot on the visa.
Best decision would be to send her back to the Phillipines I guess.

agreed with Darnell. You sound like a really nice guy, but if I was in your shoes, I'd leave it at that. Whether she gets into trouble later is no longer your problem. She basically upped and left you, so why even bother.

    Hi everyone
I went and did my medical exam at Lim Dispensary at Jalan Dato Koyah, George Town, Penang on Thursday (July 18). To get there was fairly simple -- if you're coming from the mainland, the easiest way would be to take the ferry. Once you reach the island, turn left into Port Weld and then right into Lebuh Penang and go straight before turning right into Jalan Dato Koyah, which is the next road after Lebuh Argyll. The clinic is fairly easy to find, and conveniently located. There is even a car par in front of the clinic so I parked my car there, paid Rm3 to the aunty waiting there (whole day parking for RM3, can you believe it!!!) and went inside to do the medical exam.
    Documents which I brought:
    - passport
    - interview letter
The doctor will provide the forms so there's no need to worry about not finding it in your packet from the embassy.
The receptionist asked for my passport and I waited for a few minutes before she returned it to me. She also gave me a patient ID card (the one you get saying you're a patient there) as well as a kidney-shaped steel container and told me to pee in it. The toilet located at the back was clean but it did not have a pipe/any toilet paper! Luckily I had some wet wipes (a habit of mine!) so I used those to clean up afterwards. It was a little awkward trying to get my pee into the steel container but I somehow managed to get it done, phew! So make sure if you go, pls take some wet wipes!
I then went back to the counter and gave the container to the receptionist. Then I waited for a few minutes before being called in.
Dr Lim then asked me to verify my information -- full name, passport number, birth date, IC and asked for my case number, all which he jotted down on the med exam form which he took from one of his filing cabinets. He took a look at the interview letter but didn't stamp or do anything to it -- he just wanted to see the interview date as he explained that the med exam expires in 6 months. He then checked my throat, ears and lungs -- and gave me the all clear. Then he asked me to lie down on the bed as he needed to check the length of my pregnant belly
Because I'm pregnant, the doctor said I need not do any vaccinations (but I'd have to do them once I'm Stateside). I told him the dates i had the tetanus shots (2 doses) and he wrote that down on the form. Then he took some blood for the blood test, and told me I would now need to go get my xray done at the Penang Xray Specialist Klinik on 316-H, Jalan Dato Keramat.
Dr Lim also gave me a photocopy of the map so it helped me got there safely! The direction is fairly simple -- it's located near the fancy Malay-house Perodua service/sales centre, next to GDEX the courier company and is opposite Sufian Tomyam/Masjid Jamek Haji Kassim. For the medical check up, blood test and xray, i paid RM180.
The xray clinic was rather busy, there were some foreigners there for their xray. It took me about half an hour to get the xray done. The doctor wanted to see me so he could explain the risks of having the xray while pregnant and advised for me to delay it, but I said I couldn't since my interview is on Aug 1st. The staff were warm and courteous -- I wore a special shield tied around my waist/on my bum, and had to stand facing the machine before they took the xray. Given the all clear, and I was good to go.
All in all, it was a fairly quick and pleasant experience for me. The doctors and staff at both places were very nice, and I find that calling Dr Lim didn't quite work, but he answered all my emails and answered all my questions.
I have yet to see any done on the panel doctor in Penang so hope this will help lessen the worries some of us might have prior to getting the med exam done!

    HI everyone
    just thought I'd share
I spoke to a lady at the consular section at the us embassy KL and was told that they accept the COGC as long as it was done in the last one year. Mine expires end of Aug (i got them aug 2012) and she said that'd be fine as my interview date is on Aug 1.
I told her about the 3 months validity, she said it wouldn't be a problem. However, pls pls pls confirm with them as this might not be the case when you're going for your interview. I would imagine it will be accepted as long as it's not over 1 year old. Cheers!

My husband usually would call NVC around that time. Unfortunately he ended up talking to a really rude lady this morning. But we got told our expedite request was granted, so it kinda lessened the sting (of having to deal with a rude person on the phone!).

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. But there is no path for anything for her. Even if her sister had not left the US, her overstay makes her ineligible to adjust status. She made her decision and it was not a good one. Italy, where she has the ability to work, is much better. It IS a nice place.

my husband and I met online. We spent years writing to each other, chatting on line and also met in person. We've visited each other, met each other's family and friends, and were very much involved and in the know of what goes on in each other's life, despite living in different countries. We were together for five years before we decided to get married (getting sick of the distance, you see).
So meeting someone online doesn't mean the marriage won't work out or that person is out to scam you. Being a female, I made sure I was very sure before agreeing to marry because it would be me who'd be moving countries to be with my husband. I also made sure my family and friends were ok with my husband (then boyfriend), because if they were not (bad feelings etc), I wouldn't marry him.
Granted we just got married, but hopefully we will be together until death do us part.
I'm terribly sorry over what happened to you but in life, there is no guarantee that whatever we do will be a success. Our attempts at finding happiness might end up with us in tears, but it doesn't mean we should stop trying. Perhaps there is a better person for you and at least you have had a bad experience so you know next time, you won't want the same thing to happen. I wish you luck!

JP and Tee reacted to Abby-Ron in Denied Tourist Visa to the US... What now??
This is exactly what Embassy do not want, "So what if she did stay after we arrived? Then we could just file the paperwork from there, and adjust status. There seems to be no legitimate reason for them to keep the wife of an American citizen out of the country. She offered documentation, and they did not even want to see it..." This is abusing the Tourist Visa, since your intent was not for your wife to live permanently in the US. So you either show ties with Malaysia (stable job, bank assets, property, businesses owed, etc) in order for Tourist Visa to be applicable, otherwise, you apply correctly and get a permanent visa for her to live in the US.

I don't feel bad for anyone who feels the best way to get ahead themselves, is by putting down others. Why the need to constantly point out that other people at CSC are being approved faster? Why must the success of others (june filers at CSC getting approved) bring you misery? Why not focus on the real problem, which is VSC processing petitions slower than their 5 month announced timeline? Why must you rain in on the parade of others? Or worse yet, call for other CSC filers' petitions to be held up so that yours gets processed ahead of theirs?
I wish all these "petitions" and "Letters" that people are sending to whichever official figure they're sending it to would just stop sticking to this awful suggestion that the only solution to this problem is that petitions be shared across CSC and VSC, so that EVERYONE gets screwed. Here's a thought, how bout suggesting that more adjudicators be assigned to I-129F's and CR-1's, so that EVERYONE will benefit? Heck, I'd venture a guess that's more likely to be implemented than the "sharing across CSC/VSC" suggestion, and yet that's not good enough for you guys? You need to feel that everyone needs to suffer the pain that you're suffering to feel justified?
    Unbelievable!
    /end rant.

Thanks for your input! I understand that each case is different so it's always a little confusing (and scary!) to decide which would be the best for us.
We are having the wedding some time in Aug, so by the time he gets back to the US i'd be his wife
So can we still file for K1 and come here on that visa, or is that considered as fraud as well?
We are perfectly fine with waiting (we've been LDR since 2007), since I do have a good job and it'd be nice to have more time with family, since after we are married i'd be moving 12000 miles I understand that there are people who adjusted while on tourist visa, but we don't want to do that since we are worried about future repercussions. Plus my fiance, being in the military, is a stickler for such things - he likes to go by the book so that's definitely not a route we'd be taking.
I lived in Australia for a couple of years, and the cert is valid for up to a year from the date it is produced. I no longer live there and going there just to get the cert is not a financially sound idea. So most probably I'd have to apply through mail, which will take time for the cert to be processed etc.
The one from my country takes a couple of weeks so I'll do that closer to the date we are filing since it's easier for me to get it.
So if we file in Aug, chances are i'd get interviewed some time in march - July 2013? Will that be a good guess?
Will I have any problem going into the US to visit while waiting for the I 130 to be processed? Do we have a choice as to where our packet will be sent, since Army Wife said they have different processing times?
Thanks so much for sharing, really appreciate it!
