Grashoppr --You should definitely watch the mailbox because I got my letter with no change online also! About a week or so ago, I got an e-mail and text in the middle of the night saying that my online status had changed even though the letter had arrived WEEKS before!!! The left hand doesn't always know what the right hand is doing it looks like!

Thanks! I should have looked closer because it says just that! I went online and requested a disqualification, so now I just wait to hear back from them. I had to put in my A# as verification. Thank you!

I recently got a notice for Jury Duty but I'm not yet a Citizen! My interview is in a few weeks, September 14th and the Jury Duty date is sometime in October. You can postpone it for up to a year but does anyone know if that would be allowed if I am technically not a citizen yet but will be soon enough? Or should I just ask for a disqualification based on the fact that I am not a citizen? Maybe they were just jumping the gun...

Finally got my interview letter today, with no other notification! Interview on September 14th!

I brought my then 22 month old to my GC interview with no problems. Be prepared to bring snacks and toys!!! Congrats again on the upcoming interview!

I did my biometrics early on Thursday afternoon and just now received the "in line for testing/interview" text! So exciting!

Hi, the date on the 10 year card is pretty much when it's approved. The three years is calculated from the date on the card, where it says "resident since." For instance, mine is 03/02/09 the day of my AOS interview/approval. I was free to apply for Citizenship in the 90 days preceding 03/02/12. I chose to apply last month...

Got my biometrics appointment in the mail today -- my birthday!!! The appointment is on July 27th, a morning where it is imperative that I be at work so I'll try for an early walk in sometime. I knew, just KNEW it would be that one day!

I must officially be an idiot! I'm sitting here and I just realized I forgot to make copies of our tax transcripts before mailing the package! Do you think I should call for more or just leave it alone? Do you suppose they would ask for them again at interview? Ugh...

If you mail your N-400 on the way to the airport or one day before, you won't have to worry about anything.
I thought of that too and may just be the way to go for me! Thanks all!

Thanks for the responses. It certainly won't be a long trip, three weeks at the most probably. Now to decide when exactly to file -- or simply to wait. Decisions, decisions!

Hi all,
I have been a LPR since March 2nd 2009, conditions removed and received my 10 year GC earlier this year. I will be filing for Citizenship between December '11 and March '12 I guess. We are in the beginning stages of planning a trip back to England for next year, probably April or June and just want to find out if there is anything I should know before we buy tickets? Is it okay to travel during the time you have filed for citizenship?

My interview went well this afternoon and I have my Oath Ceremony next Thursday, 20th!!! I am so happy that I will get to vote, which has been my dream! I'll probably post the experience later, when I have more time!
