When you are in tough situation like this, don't travel.

It is not DIY, you need a lawyer. Find a charity lawyer in town, there are many in LA.

He is in deportation proceeding now so he can't adjust status, he needs to have a lawyer. Try to find a local pro bono lawyer ASAP.

Digital submitting on ceac portal, you bring physical forms to interview.

Your reason is completely unacceptatable, she can snap a picture with brighter background and send it to you with email, you then crop it with 2 x 2 pattern (square pattern) on almost every basic photo apps on computer/phone. Immigration is a long and difficult process but you find getting a passport style photo difficult then DIY is not for you. Good luck.

They will mail a welcome package to old address, but it is like instructions and welcome mail which you will receive as well. Use the case number and ID for ceac, you don’t need that package. Update her address on ds-160 once you have a chance.

When you are at the interview try telling the officer this:
”If you don’t have the experience or authority with these please leave me and my waiver alone and refrain from making any comments”

It might work wonders I bet.

Yes of course you have to be honest. Being purposefully dishonest to an immigration official to get an immigration benefit could see you banned from the US for life for fraudulent misrepresentation. Your mom will have to start a new petition for you when she becomes a citizen.

NancyNguyen reacted to Ayrton in Middle name is incorrectly added as "NONE" in I797
I still don't understand how someone can give an advice to put none in a name field. That should never be recommended. The instructions also doesn't tell you to put none if you don't have a middle name.

If you submitted it online, then it's mostly your fault. Your name will show up when you electronically sign it, so I'm sure the "none" would be there. If you had filed by paper, the person that received it would probably notice it and not enter the name.  Remember that it's an electronic form. A person is not reviewing it to issue the NOA 1, so the system assumes that whatever you put there is correct. What if someone actually has a middle name "None"?.

Call USCIS and say Technical Difficulties. You're gonna be transferred to someone immediately. You're gonna say that you made a mistake when you filled out your name and ask them if they can update your name.

You would (knowingly) be making a fraudulent representation to the credit card company to get the charge reversed. Do you really want to go down that road?

Based on a recent policy change last year, they can extend the medical for 30 days.  After than, a new medical will be required.  I have seen cases when the consulate called the applicant if the expiration date was within a couple weeks.

Unfortunately, n600 isn’t issued derivatively. It will cost you arm and leg. You can do passport now and apply for n600 later when she grows up.

Sometimes A# is changed due to status change (some international students report that) I would input the old Alien Number, it helps to locate your file easier. Good luck.

    Hi,

    Sorry about your situation.

You need to hire a good competent immigration attorney.  This is so important at this point.

At this point, you will probably be referred to deportation.  Deportation proceedings will make it much harder for you to adjust even with a USC wife.  This is why you need a really good competent immigration attorney.

    Best of luck.

The agent was correct.  You cannot adjust status through your wife.....for the reasons he stated.  I don't see any reason to appeal.  USCIS did not err.
