Chalanero21 got a reaction from Willy Wilcox in Birth certificate
    Hello.
I want to share my experience and I hope might help. My birth certificate was late registered by 12 years, I have petitioned for my mother 2 times the first time my petition was denied because I took the RFE not very Sirius. I only submitted pictures and two affidavits and that was not enough. Then I submitted a second one last year this time got a RFE again for late birth registration . I took things more serious. If you dont have school records, medical records you must get at least a certification from school, church, and hospital that they dont have records . If you do have them then great for you !! You can send them along with translations.
Next is DNA they can not obligate you by law but they will between parenthesis "suggest you" to do it, believe me they are trying to help you with that hint.
I did the DNA test following their specification. (if you do DNA option make sure that if you send your documents first let them know in a cover letter that the lab will send them the results)
And I submitted again the affidavits since no secondary evidence is available like immunizations, census, hospital records are not available. If you have some but not all is a also a good idea to send affidavits from at least two family members adults at time of birth.
After all that my application got approved.
    I hope this helps .

I dont think there will be a problem at the time of interview but maybe another person in this forum whom recently went could share with us if they had a problem with the letter at the moment of entrance. The one thing i know for sure is that you most have your ds260 co firmation page with its barcode at the moment of interview that is how they pull your actual aplication since now is electronic.

I think is a miscommunication between doctors office and Consulate/NVC if you call them (NVC) and be persistant a few times, the NVC can email or mail you one, but you really do not need it, the email is fine just copy and paste all the vital information and print it nicely so it dont look like an email. and see what they say. The only difference missing will be the bar code if they want barcodes then go to CEAC and print the invoice receipt and attach it with interview /letter/ email nicely printed (if after trying NVC a million times dont work)
1 NVC agent can tell you they dont do it no more another one that they will email you again, another may say they will mail it in 7 to 10 business days. ####### and another one may say they do not know what are you talking about, but if you get the same answer after calling them 5 times at least and you get the same answer then that is the correct consistant answer. Another option is to call the embassy and ask them directly remember that now your case is on their powers, so they will know how to handle the doctors mis-in formations. and there after the doctors will hopefully explain that to the nice receptionists.....

    Just giving you ideas .....
please let us know how it went .
There are at least 7 people whom already went thru this process recently and maybe they can share how the handle it. I hope they do.

As of this past week they just finished giving interview dates for people waiting with case completed since February so that will give you an idea on how long more it could take. Complete your timeline to help other Honduras members to see how long is taking .

Hi, You will need to find someone that is well qualified to the poverty guidelines, on their taxes is the amount to be considered is called "adjusted gross income"
If the sponsor is not a family member that lives on your same household the you both need to fill the same I-864 form (one filled by you with all your documents and one filled by the joint sponsor), you have to fill it as the petitioner even if your income is 0 it is a requirement.
then your qualifying joint sponsor will qualify as the joint sponsor.
    Documents for joint sponsor
-Prof of US citizenship (passport picture page copy or copy of naturalization certificate or Birth certificate) does not hurt to add drivers licence copy along with birth certificate
-tax returns copy for the last year (2017 taxes as of today) or IRS transcript
-not required but good is to include the last 3 years of taxes
-also copies of any w2 or other income tax forms like 1099 etc
    - employment letter (not a requirement but helps) they want to see if the person is a reliable source of help in case for the future that is why it helps submitting last 3 years it will show trust to consular officer at interview
-pay stubs for the last 6 months (not a requirement but helps)

look in google for form I864 and read the instructions on the uscis site also the nvc website tells you pretty much everything you need.

Wau, bless your hearth. You have been waiting since Jan 10 ? (that is what your timeline says) That is excruciating!!!  I am waiting since Feb 1 and still no case number, some pivot cases got case numbers at 9, 10, 11 weeks now 12 with yours , I am almost at 11 weeks. Really NVC needs to be restructured, for future generations. It is so unfair for, I know that the pivot thing is exclusive to some embassies and that you get case complete faster ( winch right now does not matter) , but that has been going on for years now,  they should have made everyone equal on wait. .... I am so angry... i am trying to vent here ..... on top of it my beloved embassy is taking months to schedule interviews, I was really hoping to see my mother soon after 6 years, at this point I dont think I will be able to go to the interview. I hope everything turns around and things get better.  Anyways congratulations on your case number assignation!!! I hope you get an interview sooner than the average time.

The form is not very diferent than the old version. The main diference i see is that it does not generates barcode
Also for those filling a form on computer that dont let you type n/a or none if you have chrome web browser you can do it on the browser it let you type any character then you can print it then you sing it and send it or scan it to send via ceac

The i864 that you download from uscis website is protected .
What i did and this was advice from successfully experiences ..  you have two options
1 you type all that the form lets you type
The you print it nicely , then with a pen you type all the n/a or nones you like and dont forget to sing and date it
Also make sure you include every single page in order
Then you scan all pages in order and send and done.
Option 2 if you are picky
Fill all info that secured pdf let you fill
Then use a generic computer pdf printer to print your file to another pdf you will name and save to your computer. (There are plenty of free virtual pdf printers online) that will give you a new pdf unprotected.
Then you will use adobe acrobat to add text using the type text tool. Then you can type all you need the. Print sing and send to nvc.
