A wise start would be to correct the error on her Pakistani ID.  All of her documents must be in agreement on DOB.....passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate, your birth certificate, etc.

I can imagine there is no way to fix it other than to try correct the age discrepancy when you file the I-130. put in the correct age and in the additional information section explain the age discrepancy .

To be honest, that is a lot of travel for a women with a newborn and toddler. I understand that she wants to visit her brother but it does seem odd that she would take a 5 month old away from its home and father to travel such a long distance. This could be the reason why the officer was suspicious.

Even if she has a good job and all of the documents it does not guarantee a visa.

If you are already frustrated now you have a long road.  You would not hear something only 3 months after the NOA1.  Depending on the service center you can be waiting about a year.   Like above mentioned it then goes to NVC and will be there another two months or more.  Once at the US Embassy of Islamabad you will wait a few more months for the interview then.... you have a high chance of being stuck in Administrative Processing H.E. double hockey sticks where you can be prepared to wait an additional year or more.

This process is not quick or easy you need to get your mind in the right place to be prepared for what lies ahead.

You say required documents were submitted but you have been in AP for a year, did it take you a year to submit the documents?

Yes your medicals will be expired already (6 month validity). The embassy/consulate will contact you to do new medicals when they are ready to issue the visas.

Here's what written on the Naturalizations requirements list . Yeah it's rare that IO will gonna ask but it's clear on the requirements list that it is "required"
    https://www.uscis.gov/n-400

Have you reported your income on your income tax forms?
Your tax returns are very important proofthat you are eligible for naturalization. On the day of your interview, bring certified tax returns for the last 5 years (3 years if you are married to a U.S. citizen). Certified tax transcripts may be ordered by using Internal
Revenue Service (IRS) Form 4506-T available at www.irs.gov or calling 1-800-829-1040.

Then emailing the embassy is the only option perhaps. It was the same case for my wife’s interview in Nepal. I wanted to reschedule her interview for some other reasons, there was no option in cgifederal... site. So i emailed the embassy asking for the rescheduling and few days later they emailed me with the new interview date.

You can ask the IO at the interview whether it's going to be Jax, Valdosta or somewhere else. You never know, it could be Jax! I had my oath in Tallahassee which only holds nat ceremonies every 2 months.

Congratulations! You'll probably have your interview on either July 1, 2 or 3. Nice thing with Jax as your place for oath taking is they have ceremonies at least once a month. If you don't have a name change, you might be lucky enough to be naturalized within the same month! Best wishes.

bestluck got a reaction from Pitaya in Selective service registration
Applicants Under the age of 26
Applicants for U.S. citizenship under the age of 26 should expect to have Form N-400 denied if they choose not to register for Selective Service. By making the decision not to register, the applicant is willfully failing to meet this obligation, and the USCIS officer will be forced to deny the N-400 application based on the applicant’s moral character.
Applicants that are least age 18 and under the age of 26, can take action now to correct the problem. They can easily register for Selective Service by visiting www.sss.gov. Not sure if you have registered? Applicants can even create an instant Official Letter of Verification to get proof.
Applicants Between 26 and 31 Years of Age
N-400 applicants between 26 and 31 years of age may be ineligible for U.S. citizenship. Again, applicants that “knowingly and willfully failed to register” or simply refused to register for Selective Service, should expect to have Form N-400 denied. On the other hand, USCIS will allow the applicant an opportunity to show that he did not knowingly or willfully fail to register, or that he was not required to do so.
Even if the reason for not registering was innocent, many immigration attorneys suggest it is better to wait until age 31 (if applying based on five years of permanent residence) or 29 (if applying based on three years of permanent residence while married to a U.S. citizen). The reasoning is that the applicant must show five years (or three years respectively) of good moral character.
Applicants under the age of 31 that want to proceed with naturalization (rather than waiting) may do so. The applicant will need to present evidence that failing to register for selective service was an innocent oversight and that he did not “willfully” avoid the requirement. Applicants should submit the following three items with Form N-400

This child is not a step-child, both parents are her legal parents. Regardless, the court acts in the best of the child. That's beside the point, this child is being denied citizenship because of some archaic law that was made before the possibility of assisted reproductive technology. She was not born "out of wedlock", her legal parents are married.
