We feel for our members who are waiting a long time, simply because of the Service Center their petition got sent to. But that does not mean those who were fortunate to get faster processing must hide their happyness; Visajourney is a website of welcome and support for ALL who want to immigrate to the USA legally. Please review my post on the subject here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/541527-this-site-is-for-support-and-advice-not-judgement/

No-one on VJ can tell you what to do or how things are going to work out. None of us are in his head to know what his intentions are, even if they are good. Yes, Jamaican men (and all other types of men) woo women. Some do it for love and yes, there are some who just want the visa. NOONE KNOWS THAT FOR A FACT. I've seen and heard of good stories -- Jamaican men who meet American women and migrate to the US and their relationship lasted (even with different races, age gaps, etc.). There are other stories as well with negative endings. You just never know. Even if you were in the United States of American and dating another Black man you don't know for certain if it's going to last. No-one knows that, unless they're psychic. Only YOU TWO can make that decision. Only YOU know your man. The only thing I can say is to look for clues, red flags, etc.. and make your mind up from there.
On the topic of cheaters -- Jamaican, American, Asian, African and every culture of men cheat. Every man is different. I've heard of cheaters right here in the neighborhood and their wives live with them. It doesn't make a difference. Men and women cheat. Should I worry about that? Nope. I just focus on what I have to in my own relationship -- take care of business at home and my husband -- and live my life.

Just a quick update--my husband made it through the POE yesterday in Dallas, and he is now HOME at LAST! It took him about an hour, which was mainly due to the queue. The actual POE part went quickly, he says. Of course, while waiting with our luggage, I managed to drop and break a bottle of duty-free wine and all our bags (and the Customs area of DFW airport) smelled like a winery. Go me. But at least he's here!
It's so weird having him just in the other room, snoozing on the sofa and watching South Park. No more staying up until 4 or 5 am to voicechat! I can just holler "Hey babe!" and he hollers back
So many thanks to everyone here for the help and support. Saylin, you are a goddess.
Now for a visa break until it's time to get to work on the next phase of the process. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting!

Personally I don't think the two threads are worth the cloak and dagger stuff.

    Moving from Process to Progress.
The nice thing about time is that it passes. And, when you get to where you are meant to be, it will seem like no time at all.
Don't look at this as another day of waiting. It is actually another day closer. You are not mourning his death and the fact that you are never going to see him again. He is alive and well and you are going to be together.

    Sweetieone,
Did you contact NVC back, what has the sup said?
Second everyone goes through these emotions, you have to be the striong one, because there is nothing he can do but wait.
Third, your problem is not that hard, you could be dealing with the fact that there is no way your husband could migrate, there are folks who are dealing with this issue.
Fourth, you can visit your husband anytime, even if it's a long weekend. Airfare to Ja is reasonable, think about those who has to pay $3000 per roundtrip flight.
Take it from me, this is the easy part. The hard part doesn't begin until he arrives. We have been married 5.5 years. Marriage requires alot of work.
Hell immigration was a breeze, married to a Jamaican makes you wants to scream. LOL, but it's worth it in the end.

In your last post, I presented everyone one of your red flags in a question forum. It's not just about getting married, it's also about correcting these red flags. The drug rehab, follow-up is a MUST. It was noted in his files so don't think it was ignored by the CO.
Your interview dated for the new petition must be a year after the orginial date of denial. So timinig in filing is very important.
The first question the CO focused on was you have been to Jamaica 8 times, never once did you bring your children to be formally introduce to their new expected step-father.

I just had the chance to speak more in detail with Papa and he was DENIED based on two things. Not enough proof that we are in a bonafide relationship and he tested positive for marijuana. There is a one year ban placed on him. This isnt a lifetime and we will make it work. For those who are judgmental.. I will say this...I believe in CHANGES AND CHANCES. I know that he had stopped smoking. But I guess the time wasnt long enough. I dont want to here about US tax paying citizens either. I am a tax paying citizen, I am a homeowner and a business owner. So I am very familiar. I am looking for help from those who can help or point me the right direction. Please...I am already in pain....
Miracles, Love and Blessings to you all on your journey.

I hate to say this but I think this might be the real issue. I had only seen my fiance 1 time and filed the K1. I had only 1 flight, about 6 pictures, western union receipts as well and our K1 was approved. Before you consult an attorney, make sure that you see the denial paper from the embassy. I'd hate for you to spend more money without havent all the documents in place. So sorry!

You and only you, know how your BF is...
It's very interesting that he hasn't had his interview yet, and is acting that way.. Seems pretty arrogant..
The fact is; love is blind, nobody can say anything that you dont already know.. Just remember, if he gets here and you submit the I864 (Affidavit of Support) on his behalf, you're stuck no matter what.. Ask yourself if you feel confident enough in him to sign up for that kind of responsibilty potentially for the rest of your life..
Put asside the heebee jeebees and the butterflies and the romantic memories and think clearly for a bit, then be honest with yourself and make a descission and stick to it..
You gotta be carefull with someone that arrogant at this stage of the game..
