read the guides over and over.. and read VJ threads to see where people are having problems or questions for which ever one you chose..
don't RUSH the application in order to file it sooner.. mistakes can happen, as you know.. its better to take more time up front... get a good petition to send off.. whether K1 or CR1.. this process is going to take patience, no matter which you chose..

He will not need to do a name change , but thanks for the info , I being a Cit will do the name change , have the marriage licence and they gave me a nice packet for this with instructions. We have to go to the Roanoke Va office. its an hour away ... Plan to do this Monday its been 2 weeks since he entered and we have his printed I-94 . Will let you guys know how it goes! Once we file AOS what will we need to do , about the not able to work on his SS card? Obviously have to wait for the Authorization to work..

The spousal visa is cheaper and more elegant. The immigrant becomes a LPR upon entry. They can work and travel straight away. You can still visit during the process.
If you refile K1 you could file tomorrow, that's the only upside to me.
But I don't think people should plan life plans based on immigration plans. The real question is, where do you want to get married?
Keep in mind that to marry in the UK the USC needs a special marriage visa, even if they are going to just leave afterward.

Co are wise from interview experiences and body language.. they will test he/her in interview.. to make sure.. all stated items are true.. I was warned that they will refer to fiance as husband or wife. I told this to my fiance as precaution.. and correct them if they do.. I will be damned.. they did same exact thing several times.. she corrected them every time. .
You want your fiance to be as stress free as possible in interview. . Hence the warnings.
