No problem at all. Many girls who had never worked in entire life, dated American men, and their visas were approved. You will be fine.

I did blood work for my youngest cat because he was not old enough to get rabies vaccination. Unfortunately I can't speak French, therefore, I have my limits to help you regarding Pets Regulation in France by looking up online. What you can do is that you need to contact a government department (local or national)  that handles animal welfare. I did a lot of research, months prior our leaving, and I knew which departments that handle those matters. I believe French Agriculture Ministry will be a right institution to get the correct answer.

US Embassy in Paris does not involve bringing your pets to the US. So, it was just wasted of your time. You need to contact your local or national government to get a valid info. CDC/USDA, as I said, they don't really care. The immigration officer did not even take a glance to my papers.  You also need to start asking which airline that allows you to bring your pets. Some of airlines banned transporting specific breed of cats and dogs. You need to be aware of that.

    Hello,

I brought my two cats from Indonesia back in 2014. First, you should research what the requirement from your country regarding bring out pets. Indonesia was really strict about the requirement, unfortunately follow the rules from Britain. I had to complete the full vaccinations such as rabies and any other documents that were on the list.

Second, keep in mind, the US is really pet-friendly country. Except, Hawaii and Guam,  that require to quarantine your pets up to 3 months. Those state and territory are rabies-free. Other than that, bringing pets to the US was a breeze.

I did not have a trouble to bring my two cats to the US. The immigration officer did not even ask my papers that I had a hard time to obtain. The only institution that asked me permission papers was the airline. And it was an Asian airline. The American ones did not care at all, lol.  When I entered the immigration line, the officer just asked me," Is it a cat? I can see the paws sticking out". I said yes and in which he replied back," oh that's cute". And that was it. No question was asked about my pets during our connecting flights in the US.

If you need more info, let me know.

I kept saying to people about “patience is a virtue” since I started K-1 visa in 2013 up to now at RoC stage. I got a lot backlash comments regarding that - you could see the responses of my comment regarding “patience is a virtue” on this thread as well (*sigh-oh humans*)

Not try to brag, but I would like to show how much I had accomplished within a year after I filed for I-751, June 2017

    1. I read about 50 books from local library, Hoopla, and OverDrive. If I wanted to read magazines, RBDigital is my choice. Book topics ranging from The General vs The President by HW Brands to cookbooks such as How to Bake Everything by Mark Bittman. Oh Michael Wollf,” Fire and Fury” was a good one as well as Hillybilly Elegy by JD Vance. I'm now reading A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership by James B Comey Jr.

    2. I finished four online  courses on Coursera from American laws to business entrepreneurs topics

    3. My husband and I visited a lot of local farmer markets and festival of arts such as Tempe Festival of Arts, Phoenix Festival of Arts, named a few good ones

    4. I'm started my small online business. Attending ASU started up business classes at Glendale Public Library (AZ). Talked to my suppliers from overseas was a fun, lol

    5. I started gardening and composting ( I failed to be frank but it won't stop me)

    6. I started learning ASL (American Sign Language) because I am now working as a part time at one event organizer (EO) in my state ( some of audiences have disabilities). This EO handled a lot of concerts such as Taylor Swift concert recently in Glendale. Happy to watch the concert for free though I am not a fan of Tay Tay. Beyoncé will coming in September this year.

    7. I'm started again my mystery shopping that stopped a few years ago. I got free groceries and got paid for that, eating out for free, you could also get opportunity to stay in hotel for free, massage, many activities that you got paid by doing it

    8.  I'm learning knitting and crocheting (hey, it doesn't have to be grandmas)

    9.  We adopted another kitten that came to our backyard

    10. Attended classes that were provided by City of Glendale for residents

    11. Joined Samsung Health Challenge for Walk. I am down from 108 lbs to 89 lbs incorporated with SweatCoin and Holiday Challenge in Facebook. I'm 4’11” by the way, lol.

    12. Just downloaded RobinHood App and started trading stocks

Now, I don't understand why people don't see a lot of opportunities here yet chose to focus on small thing like “when my I-751 will get approved or why other people were approved faster than me”. It will drive you nuts. Remember, time flies fast, you just have to see it happens. It doesn't have to be a genius to calculate the math.

See the other side of your point of view and you will see how many things are waiting need to be seeing as an opportunity!

    Just my two cents!

Thank you! Again, if it sounds I was bragging then I am apologized for that. I just wanted people see a lot of opportunities and learning experience you could get rather than sitting in front of your laptop and complaining why approval hasn't come yet.

To tell the truth, I sometimes feel uneasy have seeing adult people who have been through long distance relationship like this and long process of immigration still don't get it. If you could passed the long process at the first stage then why this make any different?

It is rare to find a gem like that. That's why I always asking names of people that I talked to regarding their outstanding performance of customer service. They should get rewarded even just a nice comment on social networking.

I called USCIS again and was talking to Tier-2 agent named Daniel. He confirmed that my husband has to file I-865. Even I already filed for I-751 that clearly stated my husband and I filed jointly and living at same address.

If you wanted to talk to Tier-2 agent ( seems knowing the rules much better), please call 1-800-375-5283 and press 123 when the voice asking you to change your address. It worked better that way for me. I tried several times whenever I wanted to talk to Tier-2 agent.

We will going to file tomorrow even though on I-751 clearly stated I am living with him at same address. Oh my!

You are welcome. I didn't mean to mislead you. I'm sorry about that. But all my friends had filed RoC, their spouses never filed I-865. And some of them are now USC. That's why when your question came up and I asked them, they didn't even know about I-865 form. And my husband didn't file either.

Moving to another country is tough especially if you don't have any close family around you. But I also had benefit being a journalist that I traveled a lot so being around people with same ethnicity, race, religion, isn't really matter to me.

it took months for me to adjust my body clock to America time zone. Luckily for me, my husband really very supported. I don't work and he is already retired from the military so we spent our time together, practically, all the time.

You also have to consider her background. Did she work before? Did she ever leave Indonesia before married to you? How close her family to her? How she spent her time while not working?. That's very important to know. I'm very easy to adjust so I can't really make generalization to all the situation will going to apply.
