Consider re-reviewing the Guides, in particular the K-1 Flowchart. All USCIS-approved I-129F petitions are sent to the NVC for further processing, prior to being sent to the interviewing consulate.
Good luck on your visa journey.
Yes, I saw that. My concern is that it seems to conflict with the information on my notice.
I just want to know if the wording on the notice is usual.
-
I did read the guides, and I am sorry if this is a silly question but...
My I-797 Notice of Action says that, "the above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance..."
It doesn't say anything about NVC. Is this usual? Should I call them, anyway?

Good luck this week, everyone.

So, even though Igor's List was only showing 2 approvals today, here is what I could see. Some of these may have been in a previous update: sorry.
Feb. 2: 1 approval, 2 RFEs yesterday / 1 RFE today
Feb. 7: 2 approvals, 3 RFEs yesterday / 1 approval today
Feb. 8: 3 approvals yesterday / 2 approvals, 2 RFEs today
Feb. 13: 1 approval today
Feb. 14: 1 approval today
Here's where it gets weird. It looks like they tripped over a box of Feb. 21 petitions and thought, what the heck, let's look at these.
Feb. 21: 5 approvals yesterday / 20 approvals today
I am so bewildered.
Especially since one of them was ours. I was really not expecting this at all, because we were so very, very, very far from being "next in line." I feel bad being happy. So mostly I am shocked and incredulous. But...yay?
You want some wacky dates just look at the CSC approvals on Igor's:
They go from end of January to the middle of May. What did they do? Throw the petitions up in the air and approve them as they fluttered to the ground?
-
Applications from May find their way through while applications from January gather dust. Where is the justice? Why do we have no voice?
Why invite people to live in our country predisposed to believing that the system works against them?
Ah well, maybe I am just being dramatic. It will all be OK in the end, I suppose.
-
That is the worst! Is there anyway you can call and find out what is going on with your petition?
I put in a service request and contacted my congressperson to inquire on my behalf. I don't know that there is anything else I can do.
-
I have folks who applied two months after me and got approved at CSC because I am at VSC
There are several petitions received 3 months or more after mine that have been approved, and I AM AT CSC!
I haven't heard a thing. No RFE. Nothing. Damn it.
-
-
Thanks! I hope they take care of your RFE quickly, too!
NOA2!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy!!
Hey immigration fairy, while you're granting my wishes, maybe you could have them take a look at my app, too?
(congrats
)

I sent my I129F in Nov 2011. RFE that I responded to. Service request added 90 days. Congress person didn't help. I'm giving up hope. I don't feel good anymore. I'm so sad too.
*hugs*
-
I hope that's not true! I hope you get your approval this week!! Same with you, Siphoneuphoria!!
Thanks! I hope they take care of your RFE quickly, too!

CSC is processing applications as far out as April now, but there are still many February applications left to be adjudicated. Sit back and relax with us. You're still just within normal processing times.
I was feeling pretty lonely being a feb filer at CSC and still waiting for my approval, but it's nice to know I'm not the only one... Which, come to think of it, it is actually pretty **** of me to be happy that some of you haven't gotten your approvals. So, sorry about that.
-
Isn't it nice to see them approving April apps while ours gather dust? There's nothing to be done about it, though. Oh, I suppose you could call and talk to some bored call center person reading you bull****dates from his computer, if that'll make you feel better. Just try to remember that in the end, the wait will be worth it... and maybe have a beer.
-
My petition is also at CSC from Feb 6. Let's do an experiment. I'll not put in a "service request" right now, and we'll see if those requests really have any effect on processing times.
-
Absolutly NOT, it dosent do anything, people who are allowed to do service request are already near getting them without requesting one, so it look like it helps but its just a coincidence. Unless you pass 8 months then yes, you should ask for a service request and a expedite.
Thanks. I thought so!
The whole idea of having to put in a "service request" is absurd, anyway. I "requested" your services when I filed the damn application. And you agreed to provide that service when you cashed my check! (They sure get that step completed quickly, don't they?)

It seems filing a service request generates the response that the petition will be processed with the next 60 days. It seems like the app would surely be processed in that time anyway. It's ridiculous that people at the same service center have waited as little as 3.5 months and they'd tell me I may have to wait for 8.
-
So, do you guys think submitting a service request actually helps?
-
All the approvals yesterday for CSC were all march and still no news for a feb filer how depressing.
I know. I never thought I'd miss seeing my projected approval date slowly approaching. But it's so much harder watching it fade into the past.
-
Anyone else with this touch date still waiting? I am just trying to figure out if my petition has just made it into an unlucky stack or if it has been lost/is being used as a coaster/was made into paper airplanes.
-
Oh, that's...um...great. Congrats to you.
-
Lets just stop calling, it does nothing and makes us feel worst. Unless you liked getting lied too, then thats different
if everyone stops calling then maybe the people picking up the phone can help the adjuncts process?!?!?
Maybe instead of making a service request next time I call, I'll just offer to help process the petitions, myself.
-
The agent I just talked to said CSC is currently processing apps from Jan 16. Obviously not true. *sigh*
-
Yeah, that's so strange to me, you can clearly see on Igor's this large swath of numbers from like, what 19th-25th that have just been basically ignored. You've got to wonder where on EARTH that box ended up.
I hope they find it, or whomever has it on their desk picks up the pace and finally gets to it.
I assume my petition is propping up a wobbly table somewhere at CSC...

we are only sharing our experiences, it helps to lessen the stress of waiting, i hope you understand that too. it is not a big deal
but i know people who can relate is happy to read this thread.
I find value in this thread.
