  1. That was fast. We applied in 2010, after 2 interviews we were still denied based on our own personal error.

The petition was only sent back to USCIS a few day ago after but his 2nd interview was way back in July 2011, so 8mths I guess it took them to return it. We how ever did not wait as we are presently on the CR1 route.

I have called USCIS and told them we have gone ahead to file a CR1 petiton and have been told many times the fiance petition will automatically be cancelled, but I assume they have to follow procedure if you do not put it in writing to close it.

I will wait for them to send a follow up letter or what ever needs to be mailed to me and will respond appropriately that way, they will be able to close it.

I hope others who have gone through similar process will chime in.

    All the best.

  2. MCMLXXXII, I am sorry to hear about what you are going through at this time; but please from a woman's stand point, I suggest you just turn a deaf ear during this period of processing.

I piss my husband off many times and I appreciate it when he does not take it out on me directly- I am not stupid, I am human like him and I know when I am unreasonable. So his walking away or just saying "we are not talking about this with you in this mood" does the trick. So that is my gentle reminder to retrace my step and change my attitude.

Sometimes you have to make your partner know when they are out of line and you cannot tolerate it-trust me that is a wakeup call. Let her know how you feel and this weight of wait has to be shouldered by both of you.

The visa JOURNEY is a though one and i will not even wish this distance and wait on anyone, but we have to go through it.

The key word here is endurance. Look and remember what always attracted you to her.

Goodluck, and I hope all goes well with both of you. Say a short prayer- all is well.

  3. Not sure how to advise you though, but we were denied k1 last year due to our own personal negligence and we are still waiting for NOIR/NOID for 8mths now. We have moved on to the cr-1 and still waiting. We are October 2011 filers.

Maybe someone else who have passed through both stages will be able to advise you better.

    All the best.

The other questions about waiting after marrying to file is a personal choice. I do not think it is engraved how long to wait before you refile.

  4. Thanks for all your replies guys. We already have the vaccinations and physical done at kamorass last year and the previous year.

We are guessing the physical will have to be repeated as my spouse will be going with documentation for the vaccinations.

I will let him know to use children's clinic and set a day aside during the week to get it done as I assume the physical and xray will be repeated.

    Thanks again.
