  1. Well I have the NVC case number now, have given them my husbands email address and my husband sent in the DS-3032 yesterday...now we are just waiting again... man this is killing me today!!! Patience, patience, patience... I need so much more of it!!!

congrats, sent ours in today also.

BIT, congrats on your visa, i cannot wait to say those words.

dwheels76, I send Godspeed your way. You are indeed very courageous!

Saylin, thanks for all your post. I am highly impressed.

Sending Godspeed and patience across our ways.

  2. Amen. I said it in my sweetes most I am missing my husband please help me voice. The woman was so kind. She was like 4 weeks is too long but we have so many cases it probably got overlooked. You want me to write them an email. First I was like another email I already mame sent nvcresearch an email. she goes oh no I write email to tell them to send your case now. I was like dang you can do that. She said of course yes I can. As she is typing she is reading what she is typing I was like "tell your mountain to move and by God it did". She said it should be there this week probably monday. They will get it sent soon as they get email;. Like OMG WOW.

congrats on the progress so far. God is still in control.

    Best wished

  3. Congrats to all who have moved smoothly as I send courage and good wishes to those still waiting for some good news.

Ours have been a rough path, but in all we are grateful to God for his mercies and wisdom.

Thanks to all who sent us PM to find out how things were going. This forum is a family indeed. I appreciate all the goodwill messages and sugesstions.

Notification of approval updated July 16, 2012. We will wait for a few weeks before we start calling NVC.

Have enjoyed reading all the postings.

  4. I am shocked to my bone marrow.

We filed for a fiance visa in 2010, after over 8mths in AP and a 2nd interview, our case was sent back for revocation due to our own personal negligence.

We however went ahead to file I-130 in october 2011. Instead of the NOA2 I am waiting for, I see USCIS is working on the 1-129 petiton. In March 2012 status was updated that it was received, last week friday, another update the the fiance petition in now under intital review and will be forwarded to another office for processing.

Are they merging the fiance petition with the spouse petition?

    Anyone been through similar experience?

How long will all this long process take?

Could VSC not send NOIR to me instead of sending it to another office to process? What is there to process anyway when a spouse petiton is in place.

By the way, I called USCIS and asked how we could close the returned petiton and all i was told was that once they see the spouse petiton the fiance one will automatically close.

Why all the waste of time and manpower on a petiton that has already expired. :bonk::bonk::bonk:

    Pls advice.

    Thanks.

  5. same here we are waiting over 6mths now going to 7-God forbid.

Not sure what else to do at this point besides calling uscis everyday.

I guess maybe it is time to get the senator involved.

It seem someone lazy took over from the efficient person who started processing octbober filers in late march, then whole of april we were waiting, then came May and we are still waiting.

if memory serves me right i think it happened to some sept filers too.

    Fingers crossed though.

    goodluck

  6. Sorry for your loss, my sympathy to your family

I am not sure why u need to be in a haste to inform them. You will not be saved any money by doing that or gain time- not to say that is what the motive is, but do not bother yourself to compose any special letter because as much as u try to make sense or justify your actions, govt workers are just dumb.

My advise as said earlier will be to add the death certificate or let your mother in law present your hand written affidavit or whatever letter plus the death certificate when she goes for her interview.

    Remember both petitions are separate.

They sometimes process mother and child petitions separately and we have seen cases here where the minor gets interview date first and things of that nature.

Goodluck do not add this to your stress.

  7. Alhamdulillah! Allah is great! We got approved! Your I-130 was approved in 253 days from your NOA1 date. Just got the text!

I send my congratulations your way because you deserve to be congratulated as everyone else have been congratualted. Enjoy!

congrats.... how original.when I get approved the last thing I want to hear is a congrats from a complete stranger.

You may consider "us here vj family" as "strangers", and as such you can keep your comments/good news away from "complete stranger" and direct it to "familiar folks".

It is called cyber friendship and anyone should not have to explain or justify their actions to anyone.

I am sorry if anyone makes you feel like a complete stranger though.

Well, my family and friends don't know anything about the process so they were not the ones I wanted to share my happiness with when getting NOA2. I can only imagine the conversation: "I got my NOA2!!!" "your what?" "petition approved" "oh does that mean he/she's coming now?" "No, there's a few more months" "Huh, ok. Good for you I guess?".So I totally understand the OP wanted to share here with people going through the same process.Anyway, congrats, it's about time!

Well said. I was in the same position too. Only those here on VJ understand what milestones we achieve at each point.

We will never get tired of saying congratulations and all those nice words of encouragement we so deserve to hear -on some you know days.
